2004 BMW M3 E46 SMG Convertible

VIN: WBSBR93464PK07547
Exterior color: Carbon Black Metallic
Interior color: Cinnamon
Transmission: 6 speed SMG
Mileage: 62k miles
Location: Cleveland, Ohio

I have decided to put my pride and joy up for sale. I need a car with 4 doors, so I've decided to move to an E90 M3 or E60 M5. So, while I'm looking for my next favorite car, I'm selling this car. This vehicle is enthusiast owned and cared for. Right now, its put away for winter indoors under a car cover and the battery on a trickle charger - before it was put away it was fully winter prepped.

Please keep in mind when shopping other M3s on EBay (or other sites), this M3 has a full aftermarket warranty until 7/29/2016 or 100k miles! fully transferable - no worries. There is no deductible and even includes road side assistance and daily rental car allowances.

Full maintenance is up to date on the car - it needs nothing immediately - with Inspection II (the big inspection) done and it has all fresh fluids and all systems checked and serviced - it's ready to go for spring. SubFrame and vanos / exhaust hub bolts were both inspected at 53k and no problems were found.

I'm happy to work with potential owners on shipping, or making arrangements for airport pickup and a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) - there are several local places to get that done - either independent or at one of the local BMW dealers. absolutely no joy rides...

Exterior:
  • Black Soft top is in good condition - cleaned and sealed in May 2013 - no problems with it opening / closing - no leaks
  • Interior warped in carbon vinyl
  • LED Angel Eyes
  • Parking sensors
  • LED tails
  • power seats with lumbar
  • rear diffuser wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl
  • Paint is in good condition but there are blemishes - rock chips in the normal places - touched up with touch-up paint
  • rear bumper has a scuff that has been there since I've had it.
  • wheel paint is scuffed in a few places that happened during shipping of the wheels
  • paint has been annually cleaned, buffed and sealed (detailed)
Wheels/tires:
  • VMR VB3 19" CSL Rep wheels Gunmetal 19x8.5 front 19x9.5 rear
  • fresh tires - rear 265/30/19 and front 245/35/19
  • 15mm spacers in the rear
Interior:
  • SUB & Ski pass through
  • Business CD w/ IPOD adapter in glove box
  • BMW chargeable flashlight :) - good condition - some wear on the BMW plastic paint that get messed up so easily- which is why I wrapped most pieces
  • drivers side bolster has some wear
  • rear passenger seat has a blemish - was there since I purchased the car. don't know how it got there...
  • Heated Seats

Service history since I've owned it:

BMW pondering hardcore M4 to celebrate 100 years?

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

2013 is the year for Lamborghini, Aston Martin and the Porsche 911, but 2016 will be the year for BMW. That's when the Munich-based maker of the Ultimate Driving Machine will celebrate its 100th birthday, with what will probably be a year-long celebration. Part of that 365-day party will, reportedly, be an even hotter version of the new BMW M4, which is set to debut in January at the Detroit Auto Show.
Yes, according to Australia's Car Sales, the über-M4 has been hinted at by higher-ups at BMW's M division, who claim the rear seats will be removed, much like the M3 GTS, while other weight-saving measures will be used to try and bring the M4's weight below 3,000 pounds. There's no mention of engine mods, but if the M4's biturbocharged six is as good as we think it'll be, that's not a deal-breaker for us.
The lightening process on the so-called M4 GTS would involve replacing the hood and front fenders with parts made of carbon fiber, while the doors would switch from steel to aluminum. Besides the deletion of the rear seats, Car Sales is predicting lightweight racing buckets, with a carbon-fiber shell and a minimal amount of padding. Expect lots and lots of Alcantara, in place of leather.

Watch the BMW M4 drift around an aircraft carrier

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

A Nimitz-class American aircraft carrier is big. Really, really big. After all, it has to be, in order to launch and recover a wide array of military aircraft. But when it's not catapulting F/A-18 Super Hornets and E-2 Hawkeyes into the wild blue yonder, what exactly can you use its 1,040-foot long flight deck for? Well, BMW seems to have an idea.
Now, obviously BMW hasn't paid Uncle Sam to convert the deck of the USS John C. Stennis into a racetrack (but what an idea!). That doesn't make this video of an Austin Yellow M4 slipping and sliding its way around the carrier deck any less entertaining. The video itself comes, weirdly considering the US aircraft carrier, from BMW of Canada, and we aren't really sure what the point of it is. There's no voiceover, or title or closing screens to lend the scene any context, and it seems unlikely that this sort of seemingly high-dollar video wouldn't be done sheerly for giggles. Whatever the reason for its existence, it's worth a watch.

BMW may be planning AMG Black Series competitors

Fri, 01 Feb 2013

Word has it BMW has its heart set on giving the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series a run for its money in the US. According to BimmerBoost.com, the German automaker has been making more and more noise about offering a number of specialty models aimed specifically at enthusiasts. While at the Detroit Auto Show this year, the BMW PR machine revealed 2013 will be "an interesting year" and that buyers can expect one or two products aimed specifically at swiping buyers from the clutches of the C63 AMG Black Series. The news came courtesy of Automobile writer Marc Noordeloos' Twitter machine.
Noordeloos reportedly interviewed several executives familiar with the M models while in Detroit, and says the M division would like to offer hardware like the M3 CSL, GTS or CRT to buyers here in the States. That sounds great to us, but saying something doesn't make it true, and manufacturers rarely find it in their hearts to bring money-losing machines to our green shores. Still, that won't stop us from crossing our fingers.
