Car is in excellent condition. Has every option available except heated seats. Everything works! No exceptions. This car has been garage kept. Convertible top functions perfect and is in perfect condition. New tires, new brakes, new belts. Complete service records available. The car does have some rock chips on the hood and some minor scratches on the trunk lid and passenger door. Scratches could maybe be buffed out. This car was a couple time a week driver for all 4 years so it has not just sat around and collected dust. Its a great car to drive each day to work or for a weekend fun car. The BMW M3 is the ultimate driving machine. I'm selling only because my son want a boat!! So can't have a fun car and a boat. I have the title in hand so happy bidding. 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe now more expensive than when new

So, while we might have more of an opportunity to test some of the most interesting vehicles on the new car scene than does your average gear head, we can still be found whiling away those long afternoon hours looking at used cars and thinking about what could be.
Just the other day, we had a vivid reminder about one of our dream cars from the very recent past, the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe. If you didn't catch it, Michael Harley had a great time testing and reviewing the new Dinan S3-R version of the car, which throws an impressively engineered turbo and suspension tune on a BMW that was damn near perfect out of the box.
In the Comments section of that review, a few savvy Autoblog readers pointed out that our estimated price for a used donor car, set at $50,000, was low. Odd, we thought, as the car retailed for less than $50k ($46,135) when it was new in 2011. So we started checking around.

Upcoming new BMW X6 leaks out ahead of full reveal
Thu, 05 Jun 2014The X5 may have been the first BMW crossover on the market when it arrived in 2000, opening the door to more high-riding Bavarians to follow, but it's been replaced twice over now. The X3 is on its second generation, and with the X1 having been introduced in 2009 and the X4 soon to hit showrooms, that makes the X6 - introduced in 2008 - the oldest crossover in the BMW lineup. But it won't be for much longer.
Soon BMW will reveal the all-new X6, based on the latest X5 but with that tell-tale slanted roofline. But before it gets the chance, a handful of images have leaked their way all over the Internet to give us an advance look at what to expect.
The overall shape of the new X6 comes across as familiar, if a bit less of an awkward take on the vehicle that (for better or worse) launched the crossover coupe segment. Up front the twin kidney grilles and headlights are larger, in keeping with the latest BMW design language, and the bumper less horizontal and more dynamic. Towards the back there's a sharp crease above the wheel arch blending into the more rakishly shaped tail lights, while the metallic vent behind the front wheel arch lends the flank an even sportier appearance.
