2003 Bmw M3 E46 Convertible With Hard Top on 2040-cars
Naples, Florida, United States
2003 BMW M3 E46 Convertible with removable Hard Top. The car is in great condition. It only has 92,000 miles. It is 6 speed manual transmission. Cinnamon leather, Harman Kardon premium sound system. 19" ///M wheels, great Michelin tires and good brakes. One of the best M3's ever built. Inline 6, 333hp, 3.2l, S54 engine. Perfect balance on the car 50/50. Handles so good. You know what I'm talking about if you are a true ///M enthusiast. I was lucky enough to get the best of both worlds. Coupe and convertible and vinyl top is pretty much brand new since it was barely used. Beautiful black sapphire metallic paint shines great! Looking from different angles it comes out as dark, dark blue. A/C very COLD and all the buttons on dash board are in good condition and working. Car has been well maintained and I do have records with BMW service. No accidents and ZERO rust. Babied this car and never smoked in it. It performs and drives like new. You will be surprised how tight this car is. It is truly in EXCELLENT condition. I have made some light aesthetic mods on the car. Convertible does not come with rear trunk lip spoiler. I've put carbon fiber lip on the car. Antenna was also replaced because I didn't like long and ugly stock antenna. I have put a small carbon fiber one. Front bumper has a lip installed and I have changed orange marker lights and put white ones. And finally I have replaced and put new carbon fiber rear diffuser on the car. It looks much better hugging the exhaust. Regular wear and tear on the car.

Bunny couldn't out hop a BMW M3 on-track
Mon, 15 Jul 2013Driving a car is a dangerous hobby, and not just because of other drivers or poor roads. Sometimes, it seems like even the wildlife is out to get you, as evidenced here, here, here, here and here. Now, we can add one more unfortunate car-versus-animal encounter to the tally.
Perhaps believing that this bright orange BMW M3 GTS was a very fast, very loud carrot, an unfortunate bunny leaped into its windshield in a brutal accident at a Polish racetrack. Considering the M3's speed at the time, 89 miles per hour, the passengers are lucky to be okay. Obviously, Bugs didn't make it.
The BMW isn't in such great shape, though. The windshield is in a bit of a state, with safety glass sprayed all over the passenger side of the cabin. There doesn't appear to be any sheetmetal damage, at least from what we can tell from the video. Although there isn't any blood, the hit is really hard. The initial point of impact is at 0:57. Check out the video below.
BMW ready to bring more i3, i8 plug-ins to US
Thu, Oct 9 2014BMW has found a receptive audience for its first batches of plug-in vehicles in the good 'ole USA. The German automaker, which started selling its first mass-produced i plug-ins in Europe late last year, will send a higher percentage of those vehicles to the US because of strong demand here, according to Automotive News, which talked with BMW executive Ian Robertson. And the Americans might cause Bimmer to speed up production, to boot. BMW makes the i3 electric vehicle and i8 plug-in hybrid in Germany, and has sold about 10,000 units of the former and 280 of the latter worldwide. Since August, BMW has been selling about 1,000 i3s a month in the US (it sold just 58 i8s in September). The bigger story, though, may be that Bimmer has sold out of its US allocation of i8s through the end of next year. Pretty heady stuff for a car that starts at around $137,000. Currently, BMW builds around 100 i-series vehicles a day in Germany, and may speed up production of the i8 for the aforementioned reason. As for the i3, which comes with an option of a gas-powered range extender, we'd reported earlier this year that the waitlist for that model had grown to about six months. Our i3 First Drive report is here if you'd like to know what all the fuss is about.
Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo burns all the midnight oil
Wed, 11 Sep 2013We've got good news and bad news for you, boys and girls, from the floor of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The good news is that the BMW M3 has come early, with a diesel, in wagon form - albeit with a different name. The bad news is that it will in all likelihood never make it to America. Which is a shame, because it's awesome.
What we're talking about, of course, is the new Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo. BMW's wickedly talented but lesser know stepchild has created a 3 Series with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel six packing 345 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. You - and by "you," we mean overseas buyers - can choose between sedan or wagon, as well as rear- or all-wheel drive. But the bottom line is a 4.6-second 0-62 time and a 173-mph top speed... from a diesel.
We scoped out the rear-drive wagon Alpina brought to the show, decked out in its signature blue. And you can, too, in the gallery of live shots above, along with the freshly assembled stock photos of both sedan and wagon versions in the gallery below.
