My wife and I just had our first son, so now I have to sell my baby! She is a very well equipped 2002 BMW M3 convertible, with clean title and clean carfax! The car has been owned by BMW enthusiasts throughout its life and has been very well taken care of! The car is from North Carolina, which is where I just recently relocated from, so there is no rust or shady business going on here.. I really need to sell the car to make room for a sedan for my son.
The car has had extensive servicing done, and most records I have in a file with the car. Convertible top has no tears/rips, it is in good shape. In addition to service, the car has had numerous enhancements performed, at a very high cost! This car is fast! Ran neck and neck with a brand new M3 the other day on highway!
Below is a list of what has been done to the car:
DINAN Cold Air Intake
DINAN Mass Airflow Sensor
DINAN High Flow Throttle Bodies
DINAN Stage 4 software
DINAN Strut Tower Brace
DINAN Front Sway Bar
Auto Solutions Short Shift Kit
UUC Motorworks Rasp-X Exhaust midpipe
Polyurethane Front Control Arm Bushings
Polyurethane Rear Trailing Arm Bushings
Polyurethane Rear Shock Mounts
Hawk HPS Brake pads and new rotors
Aluminum Pedals
Blackout Grill, side gill, rear diffuser, mirrors
New Clutch just installed
Estimated over 365+HP!!!
There is over $7,000 in upgrades alone on this car!
Standard equipment includes: Leather interior, power memory seats, power steering, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, self-leveling xenon headlights, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, auto climate control, rain sensing windshield wipers, anti-lock brakes, stability/traction control, front and side air bags, rollover protection, COLD A/C, and lots more!
Car has had recent oil change, transmission service, differential service, filter cleaning, cabin filter, brake fluid, coolant flush, power steering flush, oil channge, and spark plugs!. Literally just drive it!
I have the stock wheels/tires for the car that were painted black, that I can swap if buyer wants. There are some small scratches here and there and the hood has a dent by the grill from where someone backed into it slowly in Publix parking lot. It is not that noticable, but if its a deal breaker, I'm sure we could get it fixed. Thank you. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY PLEASE!

Forza Horizon 3 adds Ford Police Interceptor, Jeep CJ5
Tue, Oct 4 2016We're only a few weeks past the debut of Forza Horizon 3, and already the folks at Turn 10 are introducing the first of six car packs for the open-world driving game. Focused heavily on performance, there are still a few, um, oddballs, including one we're sure Forza's livery customizers will have a blast with. The Smoking Tire Car Pack brings seven new vehicles to FH3, with the Aston Martin Vulcan, Pagani Huayra BC, GTA Spano, Lotus 340R, and BMW M2 repping traditional performance vehicles. As per usual, FH3 renders each car beautifully and promises a solid approximation of real-world performance – even if you do ditch the roads and opt to rampage through the Australian countryside. While performance is good, the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and the Jeep CJ5 Renegade bring an off-beat vibe to this particular pack. We aren't certain, but this might be the first time the Police Interceptor appears in a blockbuster driving game. While we expect plenty of police car liveries for the Crown Vic, Forza's rabid community of tuners and customizers are sure to do much more with it. As for the CJ5, is there a better vehicle for tooling about Australia? Yeah, we didn't think so. The Smoking Tire Car Pack is available for free as part of the Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition or Car Pass program. Commitment-phobes can also download this single vehicle pack for $7. BMW's Vision Next 100 concept celebrates past, predicts future
Mon, Mar 7 2016Forecasting 100 years out is a tough job, so we'll forgive BMW if not everything in this concept comes true in the next century. It's the first of several that will celebrate BMW's centenary this year – concepts from Mini, Rolls-Royce, and BMW Motorcycles will follow later – and aims to guess what and how we'll be driving in the distant future. Although it's no longer a question of if, we still don't know when cars will make the switch to autonomous driving. So yeah, there's a lot up in the air. What this concept promises is more of everything. What this concept promises is more of everything: more comfort, more assistance, and a more intense experience – when you want that. Plus new, lighter materials, increased customization, and of course all the connected smarts you can throw (or will be able to throw) at a set of four wheels and some seats. It starts inside with an out-there dashboard display. Going a step further from the typical head-up display, the Alive Geometry transforms everything in your periphery into a digital blanket of context stretching from the interior to some of the exterior panels. This tessellation of moving triangles is supposed to mimic a flock of birds to bring you subtly changing information about what's going on around you. BMW gives this idea the made-up term of 4D printing. BMW gives this idea the made-up term of 4D printing, as it believes that in 30 years it will be possible to rapidly prototype this flock-of-informative-seagulls design to provide function (the fourth dimension, apparently?) in addition to the physical form. We'll check back in 2046. BMW also notes that displays in current cars will give way to OLED displays and then to the windshield-as-display concept that has been promised for a while and is seen here. About the car driving itself: BMW highlights two new driving modes for the concept, Boost and Ease. Boost is for when the driver is in control, the vehicle doing what it can to heighten the experience and the driver's awareness. It can use the Alive Geometry to show the best line or warn of other cars, integrating all the current active safety tech and more. BMW believes this will allow the driver to improve instead of just going faster. We would have called this mode iStillDriveSometimes, but hey, marketing still has 100 years to come around to that one. The important idea is that the driver will still have the choice to drive.
Acura TLX Type S vs. BMW M340i xDrive | Sport sedan comparison test
Mon, Dec 27 2021Luxury sport sedans are still turning up on the market, and the Acura TLX Type S is one of the freshest cuts of meat in the window. It’s AcuraÂ’s big return to Type S performance models. Benchmarked against the proverbial best performance sedans of the segment, Acura is aiming to not just to compete, but to win dogfights like these. To see if the return of Type S is all itÂ’s cracked up to be, we decided to pin it up against the historical king of sport sedan shootouts: a BMW 3 Series. Specifically, the Type S is taking on the M340i xDrive, which is this AcuraÂ’s most natural competitor from Munich. Should the diehard BMW driver make the switch to Japanese performance? Does Type S do enough to lift this Acura up to best GermanyÂ’s finest? There are a lot of variables at play here, and they all make it complicated to choose a winner. The similarities between these two begin from the top of the spec sheet and go down. Both have 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engines — BMW arranges its cylinders inline, while Acura chooses a V configuration. Quick-shifting automatic transmissions are standard. BMW uses an eight-speed unit, while Acura uses a 10-speed. Both get electronically-controlled dampers, big brakes and sticky summer rubber. They each offer up usable backseat space and reasonably-sized trunks. WeÂ’d feel just as confident showing up to an important business meeting in either one as we would at a track day. ThatÂ’s the beauty of this mid-tier performance segment. After looking at their specs, it shouldn't be surprising that the M340i is the quicker of the two here. Its 382 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque hit noticeably harder from any speed than AcuraÂ’s 355 horses and 354 pound-feet of torque. The Acura is also carrying an extra 232 pounds of curb weight over the Bimmer, which makes the M340iÂ’s 1-second advantage in the 0-60 mph sprint make perfect sense. For the record, BMW quotes a 4.1-second time, and Acura only offers an approximate time of 5 seconds. Both estimates feel accurate. Beyond sheer acceleration, both engines offer up their own version of tingly feel-goods. BMWÂ’s inline-six is as smooth as ever as it plays its sonorous note all the way to the 7,000 rpm redline. There are few sounds in the automotive universe that surpass the glee we feel when listening to a BMW inline-six at full-chat, and that rule still applies to the M340i.
