Basic Info: 2002 M3 Coupe 6spd Manual Transmission Imola Red Leather Interior Non Heated Manual Seats Only factory option with car is sunroof 18in wheels, previous owner powder coated them, little to no rashing Overall great condition exterior, no dings, minor scratches as expected with age All buttons work, windows, traction control, sport mode, power rear vents Car has 113,145 miles as of this post, it is located in my garage and will only be driven around the neighborhood Background: I purchased this car to replace my e36 m3, however due to unforeseen circumstances, I am listing it for sale. I have an e92 m3 on the way, and have decided this car will just not get the use I planned it to. The car has a clean NC title, clean auto check, and clean car fax. I can provide these to prospective buyers. I have had the car inspected by a body shop since I have purchased it, and for full disclosure, there may have been an accident at some time in the car's life due to a small paint thickness discrepancy. The previous owner had the car inspected and had no idea of any accidents or damage, nor was communicated by the person he purchased the car from. I look over my cars thoroughly however, and do not always believe car fax ect. The car is mechanically sound, it is fast, pulls hard, and drives straight and smooth. Recent Work: The car has had recent bushings and subframe reinforcement, and recent brake work by the previous owner. During my short ownership, I have replaced the rear view mirror with a brand new one from a z4 m coupe (wider, more desirable) 400$, Installed brand new side view mirrors 250$, installed a brand new oem ssk and zhp knob 500$ installed, I also installed a new brake boot 100$, black kidneys and side gills. Car also has updated tail lights! Car could use a new interior left door edge protector, floor mats, pillars recovered Car is priced at 14.7, I am making no money at this price, and want the car to go to a good home Car is in Raleigh, NC |

BMW maintenance plan no longer transferrable to 2nd owner
Tue, 12 Aug 2014One of the best innovations in car buying in recent years is the rise of no-cost scheduled maintenance programs. Many people feel really anxious about taking their car in for service, and these deals help mitigate that somewhat. Obviously, it's not free for automakers to implement the offers, and now BMW is altering the way its four-year, 50,000-mile Maintenance Program works for some owners. "To keep such an offer sustainable we had to make a change," said Kenn Sparks, Manager of Business Communications at BMW North America, to Autoblog via email.
The original person to buy or lease the model isn't going to see any difference, but the program is no longer transferable to a second owner, unless that person is in the owners household. Those people include includes parents, siblings, grandparents and grandchildren, in addition to someone like a spouse or children. The original owner just has to advise BMW of new user. "The program change will affect 2nd owners and for them BMW is introducing an optional full-maintenance product that covers the vehicle up to 100,000 miles," said Sparks. Six 'shut up and take my money' cars
Tue, 11 Nov 2014Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."
BMW celebrates its awesome '80s M535i
Wed, Jan 7 2015BMW recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of the M5 with a very limited, special edition of the super sedan. And even before the original version was transporting German executives at ludicrous speeds down the Autobahn, the folks in the M department tried their hand at improving the 5 Series with the M535i. Only offered in 1980 and 1981, the company made just 1,650 of these top-spec models, but they sowed the seeds for the future. In this video looking back at the M535i, you really see the automaker from a completely different era. As an outgrowth of the company's touring car racing efforts, the special model packs a 3.5-liter inline-six rated at 218 horsepower, a powertrain capable of accelerating the M535i to 62 miles per hour in 7.5 seconds via a dogleg five-speed gearbox. This take on the 5 Series is also a visual treat because it mixes the standard version's skinny A-pillar and thick C-pillar styling with some era-specific upgrades. The corduroy-covered Recaro seats and groovy multicolor stripes down the side, on the air dam and at the rear are especially fun touches. While the video's announcer is a bit dull, there's nothing boring about this rare, vintage BMW. Take a trip back in time with this clip, it's a nice bookend to the Petrolicious E28 5 Series family video we showed you yesterday.
