Please do not bid unless you have your financing already lined up. I do not want to re-list this.

Up for sale is my daily driver for many years going up and down the NJ turnpike - Driving 94 miles each way to work and back - hence high mileage.

The Car is in what I would consider to be in good to excellent condition considering the age and mileage - people who see the car can't believe its 2002, its in good condition.

The car includes most items minus the navigation system.  Since
you are looking at M3, you already know what it is and can do so I won't bore you with details. Here's some details on condition of the vehicle...

  • Seat - other than some creases, it still hold its shape, no rip or tearing anywhere. Other than some creases, it still looks good.
  • Tires - I haven't really driven this car since last year - I've put cheapy tires last year (kumho?) and it still has plenty of thread left. But if you want more performance, I would put pilot sports or similar tires.
  • Rims - its original so it has some curb rash/scratches. Still look ok. 20" would look awsome!
  • Dings - there are one dings in each side of the door, not noticeable as you could see in the picture (have to look close). There's one other ding - near right top, its also small. The rest of the exterior is clean, few stone chips but I have a Dr Color chip and you could touch it up in about an hour for all of them (They really works but I haven't had time to do them).
  • Front Bumper - The bottom skid plate was removed (The metal part is intact) as I've hit too many curb going into stores. Car is very low. There's some scratch on the bottom of the front bumper because of that, not noticeable.
  • Mechanical - There's nothing wrong with the car. I enjoy working on cars, so I fixed and replaced quite a few things on the car. Head gasket was replaced and even cleaned while I was in there. There's no oil leak or anything. I change the oil every 5000 or less miles.
  • Minor things - there's tow hook cover missing (tow driver took it) and insert on passerger door (side air bag label). Also, the both arm rest paint is cracked (from high summer heat), don't bother me but you may want to change that out.
  • Repair - About couple of years ago, I was hit from the back on traffic crawl (less than 5mph). Because of the dumb A**, I've had the rear bumper, carborfiber underlayment and plastic cover (all done by Rocco in S.NJ). No frame damage, basically bumper was replaced, looks new.

I think I've describe what I know about the car to best of my knowledge. Although its as-is/whereas sale, I would guarantee that car is as described/pictured on the day I hand the key over to you. If you live locally, I would be glad to show/drive you for a demonstration.

If you need the car shipped (US only), please make sure its arranged on your own. I'll try to help with with local drop off and whatnot but that all I can do.

Once auction is over, please deposit $500 via paypal immediately (non refundable) then 5 days for Cash (preferred)/Certified check (need to clear).

Please direct all questions prior to end of auction.

Hamann BMW M6 Mirror can now cash the checks its body writes

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

Anyone remember the Hamann Mirror? Need a refresher? The Mirror is German tuning company Hamann's idea of a BMW M6. It was shown at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show as an M6 Gran Coupe, sporting a ridiculous paint job and some meaty, multi-spoke 21-inch wheels.
Consider this car the Mirror Mark 2. Based on the M6 Coupe, Hamann has applied a similar visual theme, using the same 21-inch wheels from 2013. Whereas the Gran Coupe rode around with a stock powertrain, though, there's been no such restraint with the two-door Mirror. A fine 620 horsepower is available from the 4.4-liter, biturbocharged V8, an increase of 60 horsepower. Torque is up as well, from 501 pound-feet to a whopping 560, meaning this M6 has speed to match its looks. Hamann claims the Mirror's newfound grunt allows it to hit 62 miles per hour faster than the standard M6 (we'd certainly hope so), although it won't mention a specific number.
The suspension, meanwhile, has been dropped 1.37 inches, or about a third of an inch lower than the Frankfurt Mirror. That drop is complemented by the Mirror's bodywork, including the exposed, carbon fiber hood and the flared fenders, which can now accommodate the enormous 305/25 rear rubber. Hamann has also paid some attention to the front and rear aerodynamics.

2015 BMW M4 gets initiated into the club

Fri, 22 Aug 2014

It's easy for enthusiasts and traditionalists to give BMW a hard time these days, what with its plans to add more front-wheel drive models and seeming move away from more emotionally connected cars. However, the push for perfection that underscored its old Ultimate Driving Machine motto is still in there, especially in its M models. In fact, the first M4 recently made it to US shores, and the company thought the only appropriate way to celebrate was to introduce its new coupe to some of its high-performance forefathers.
The M4's initiation into the M car brotherhood involved bringing together no fewer than 52 classic and newer models - including four racecars and many privately owned vehicles - to an empty parking lot and letting the coupe drift and slalom around them to say hello. According to BMW, there was a combined 11,566 horsepower on hand. It takes a pretty trusting owner to stand back and watch as a brand-new vehicle slides its tail out with the rear wheels smoking within feet of their pride and joy. Stay tuned until the end where the owners and their cars get a shout out in the credits. Scroll down to read BMW's press release about it.

BMW M3 and M4 will rock 430 hp from twin-turbo six with standard manual [w/video]

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

We're not sure which spec we're most intrigued by for the new BMW M3 and M4: the twin-turbo six-cylinder with 430 horsepower and "far beyond" 369 pound-feet of torque, the 3,300-pound curb weight or the standard six-speed manual transmission with automatic throttle blipping on downshifts. That engine is fitted with both Valvetronic and Double-Vanos, twin-wire arc-spray coating in the cylinders instead of liners to save weight, a track-ready cooling system with additional radiators, a forged crankshaft, dry-sump lubrication and a magnesium oil sump. BMW says its "high revving concept" has a redline beyond 7,500 rpm.
In the M4, it will be pulling a coupe with "a weight of just under 1,500 kilograms," which is 3,300 pounds to you and me. That number is said to include no driver and 90 percent fuel, but we're still waiting on the exact number and specs. BMW says it's "around 80 kilograms lighter than a comparably equipped predecessor model," putting the power-to-weight ratio at something like 7.68 pounds per horsepower at the same time as it helps reduce fuel consumption by 25 percent. The use of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) for the roof, drive shaft (with no center bearing), trunk and front strut brace, and forged aluminum for suspension components, have aided in the weight loss. This time around, the sedan - the M3 - will also get a CFRP roof.
The default option will be a six-speed manual.
