1999 BMW ///M3 Coupe

Last year of E36 M3

This car is Titanium Silver on Dove Grey Interior. It has 149k on the clock. Its needs a little TLC and this is a great opportunity to pick up a E36 M3 for a great price, especially if you are looking to for a donor track car or daily driver with a little work. The body is in good condition with minor specs of rust on the doors, hood, and truck deck lid. The car has had recent service done with new shocks and struts and new brake rotors and pads in the front. A recent oil change has just been performed by Bill Jacobs BMW in Naperville. The car is priced accordingly and needs the following things Guibo Joint, Front sway bar Links, Front Ball Joints, l/r axel seal, engine belts, trans selector seal leaking, Driver side front window regulator, intake boot, windshield. The car makes a noise going 0-25 mph, ands this will be fixed by replacing the Guibo joint as per conversation I had with my service advisor today. Total amount in parts it needs is $350. The driver seat is worn and will need to be replaced with a new cover ($150). The car is 100% stock with no aftermarket modifications, other than a stage 2 upgraded clutch.

The Homer to contest 24 Hours of LeMons

It's finally happened. A 24 Hours of LeMons team has built the definitive interpretation of The Homer from The Simpsons for competition in an upcoming race. As you may recollect, The Homer is the fictional car designed by Homer Simpson for his brother's car company. Designed with a separate compartment for screaming children and other Homer-centric goodies, the animated machine bankrupted its parent company and put Homer's brother out of a job. Now we get to watch it race other crap cans as it tackles Southern California's Buttonwillow Raceway on June 29. Scott Chamberlain, Kris Linquist, Reid Conti, Ben Reilly and Mike Yepes will helm the machine, and Jeff Herman serves as the team's creative director.
The racer is the latest incarnation of a well-abused BMW 3 Series. The team campaigned the same E30 under the "Prickstine" banner as a Chrysler Imperial tribute and "Porcubimmer," the latter being a riff on the ever-popular joke about the difference between porcupines and BMW models. European jury picks finalists for 2015 Car of the Year

There are countless Car of the Year awards handed out each year, and naturally, Europe has its own way of doing things. Every year, a panel of jurists representing seven publications in seven different languages and seven different countries get together to name their joint Car of the Year. The panel released a list of 32 candidates back in July, and it has now whittled that list down to seven nominees. The list consists of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, the Citroen C4 Cactus (shown), the Ford Mondeo, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the Nissan Qashqai, the Renault Twingo and the Volkswagen Passat. Of those seven, only two are available in the US – those being the Mondeo (sold Stateside as the Fusion) and the C-Class. The Passat is an entirely different model in North America, the Qashqai isn't offered here, Citroen and Renault don't even participate in our market and the BMW 2 Series is represented here only by the completely different coupe and convertible. Expect the one and only recipient of the 2015 Car of the Year award to be announced at the Geneva Motor Show this coming March, and while you're waiting, you can place your guesses for the eventual winner in Comments.
