This incredible car is a two owner M3, I have owned it since 2000 and have taken incredible care of it.  No detail is overlooked on this car. It is extremely well sorted and cared for.  The same Mechanic has been working on it since the day I bought it and can vouch for the car (BMW Master Tech)

I put approximately 5,000 miles a year on the car and driver 3 to 4 DE's every year in the car as such it has been built as a car designed to perform on the track.  Visually this car is stunning the paint is 9.5 out of 10.  The engine is less than 15k miles from a complete rebuild.

I have well over $45,000 in upgrades in this car, and it will be somebodies pride and joy, this isn't some hack job done on a budget this car got the best of everything.

  • New BMW 5 Speed Transmission a year ago with a new UUC Carbon Kevlar clutch and Lightweight Flywheel.
  • Difs Online 3.46 rear end with 40% lock up, and Dif Cooler (holds three quarts of dif fluid)

This is a car you can drive on the street or take to the track and it handles like no other car I have ever driven, it surprises a lot of cars on the track and hangs with GT3's, Corvette's and 911's all day at Road America.

When people look at this car they are always amazed at the condition of it, it looks as good or better than any other E36 M3 I have ever seen.  You will not be dissapointed.

This car has always been stored in the Winter and has never been in bad weather zero issues, this car is even better looking in person.

This is the BMW Z4 GTE that will wear the Roundel in ALMS

Sun, 17 Feb 2013

The Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway are a month of racing and reveals, with the season's metal going for the flag at races like the Rolex 24 at Daytona and other cars being introduced to the public. In the latter category is the BMW Z4 GTE (click the image above to enlarge) joining the American Le Mans Series GT class this year with BMW Team RLL (Rahal, Letterman and Lanigan). This machine replaces the M3 GT that completed four years of service and won the class title in 2010 and 2011. Naturally, the team is tempering expectations for the Z4 GTE by repeating the fact that it sees this season as a development year.
BMW Team RLL drivers for its two cars will be Bill Auberlen and series rookie Maxime Martin in the No. 55, aided by Jörg Müller for the endurance races at Sebring and Road Atlanta. The No. 56 car gets Dirk Müller on a full-time basis, Joey Hand when he's not competing in the DTM series, and John Edwards when Hand isn't available. Uwe Alzen will help out with driving duties in the No. 56 at endurance races.

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor James Riswick. They start the show by talking about the cars they've been driving. James took a road trip to Oregon in a Honda Pilot TrailSport, bringing along a Gazelle Ultimate 380+ e-bike. James also fell in love with an Alfa Romeo Giulia Lusso, while Greg enjoyed an executive experience in the new BMW 760i. Next, they discuss which car they'd buy in 1985 with a budget of $18,000, as well as their pick for a contemporary pickup truck for $50,000. They also interview Tyson Hugie, who purchased a 2006 Acura TSX from James and restored it. Finally, they open the mailbag for an update from a listener about a previous Spend My Money segment. Two rare Alpina BMWs given the Petrolicious treatment

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

Alpina is getting more and more ink because of because of that rolling cannonade known as the B7 and its closer ties with BMW. The company's tuning business dates to 1962 when Burkard Bovensiepen began fiddling with Weber carburetors, then his company began racing in 1968 and was eventually certified as an automaker in 1983.
Two of its rarer specimens from those early years have gotten a glance from the folks at Petrolicious: the E24 B10 and E24 B7S. Based on the BMW 6 Series, the Alpina versions made one of the most special coupes from the Eighties even more so. According to the video, there were only 44 B10s made, and the turbocharged, 333-horsepower B7S - this was in a luxury coupe in 1982, mind you - saw only 33 examples produced.
You won't be sorry to find out more about them - and see how they run - in the Petrolicious video below.
