Up for sale is one of my favorite cars. It's in perfect shape, it's been loved and cared for, and I hate to see it go... but we have a 1-year-old and I just haven't had the time lately to drive it.

Purchased from an older CCA member (I'm a CCA member as well) that kept it in his garage and only drove it to occasional CCA events, but he did clean and maintain it meticulously. I have ALL receipts, paperwork, notes from day 1, including the original window sticker. It's been a west coast garage queen its whole life, exterior and interior are in near flawless shape. I'm a mature adult and continued the tradition of maintaining it and cleaning it every weekend, but also bought the car to appreciate the drives and it's been fantastic. Along with religious maintenance, all preventative maintenance has been done as well. Here's a quick list of what's been done:

Vaders are in great shape, back seats look like new. Recent inspection shows it's in great mechanical shape, shouldn't have any problems for years... these cars go forever if they're well cared for.

First BMW i8 in US to be auctioned off at Pebble Beach

Snag yourself a BMW i8 at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Weekend and you won't only be the first in the US to own this model, you'll be getting a one-of-a-kind version of BMW's new gas-electric plug-in marvel. The special i8 will come with a special exterior paint color (called Frozen Grey Metallic) as well as a modified Pure Impulse Tera World interior that has "Concours d'Elegance Edition" etched in and comes with "Dalbergia Brown leather upholstery, which is tanned using dye derived from plant extracts." Tell all your treehugger friends. The 2014 BMW i8 Concours d'Elegance Edition also has laser headlights (as long as BMW gets government approval for them in the US) and comes with the first BMW Charging Station, professional edition. The standard i8 starts at $135,700 and Gooding & Company expects the special i8 to bring in between $150,000 and $200,000 at the auction. We'll find out Saturday, August 16. As a bonus, there's no reserve. The Concours d'Elegance is not a complete stranger to electric vehicles, hosting an EV display at the Meadow Brook Concours in suburban Detroit last year. Morgan Plus 8 Speedster hits the track versus BMW R Nine T

Evo is back at it with its car-versus-bike races, following up on the all-British Jaguar/Triumph battle from last weekend with an (almost) all-BMW affair, pitting the German brand's stylish and vintage-looking R Nine T against the British-built, BMW-powered Morgan Plus 8 Speedster. Unlike last week's battle, though, we're guessing this contest will be quite a bit more even. See, the F-Type had 380 horsepower and plenty of body fat to haul about. The Morgan, though, is nearly as powerful (367 ponies) and is far lighter, at around 2,200 pounds. The BMW, meanwhile, isn't quite the track star that the lightweight Triumph Street Triple R.
