Up for sale is a 1995 Alpine white M3 with 99,600 miles. Selling because I need a 4x4.

The exterior is in decent shape. The passenger side is very clean with zero dings. The drives side has ~4 dings. The rear bumper paint doesn't perfectly match the rest of the car, but it's not very noticeable and the wheels have a little curb rash. Has tinted windows and HID headlights. The interior is dove grey and is VERY clean. Zero rips or tear in upholstery, no stains on the carpet. Looks close to new.
Since owning the car I have done TONS of preventative maintenance, all the major E36 issues have been addressed and more. The oil was changed every 3000 miles with Castrol synthetic 5w30. Here's a list off the top of my head, but I'm sure I'm missing some. All in the past 5000 miles.
- Replaced water Pump, radiator, coolant lines, coolant flush
- Accessory belts replaced
- Power steering lines replaced
-Changed spark plugs
-Replaced valve cover gasket
-Transmission / Differential oil changed with Redline
- Motor / transmission mounts
- Guibo
- RTABS, RSM
- Front brakes with brembo blanks / Hawk HPS pads, and brake flush
-Cabin air filter
-Hood shock mounts
-Hancook v12 rear tires
MODIFICATIONS
-Z3 short shifter
-Magnaflow exhaust (loud and drones a little on freeway)
-Suspension: front has ground control coil over conversion kit, the rear has koni yellows with eibach springs. SPC camber plates, SPC rear adjustable control arms
-CAI

The front tires need to be replaced in the next ~5000 miles. Sometimes there is a little noise from the accessory drive but I think it's just a tensioner.
I've put a lot of time and care into this car and it has been a blast to drive. A bunch of records will come with the car as well as the original manuals. I'm sure I forgot a ton of things but if you have any questions feel free to ask. You can reach me by replying to email or call / txt 805-two three four one zero two five

Currently the wheels are plasti-dipped black, comes off easy if you want the original wheel color.

BMW Concept Roadster has two fewer wheels than we were expecting

Fri, 23 May 2014

The annual Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como is an opportunity for some of the most beautiful vehicles in the world to descend on one of the poshest places on earth each year. Unsurprisingly, the event is also increasingly the chance for automakers to debut exclusive concepts to some of the wealthiest auto enthusiasts in the world. In the last few years, BMW has become the masters of this annual unveiling with automotive concepts like the Gran Lusso Coupé, BMW Zagato Coupe and motorcycles like the the gorgeous Concept 90, not to mention the just-revealed Mini Superleggera Vision. But this year the Bavarian automaker has been somewhat tricky.
What would you first think when you heard of the BMW Concept Roadster? A lithe, two-seat convertible? Nope. This roadster is a cut-down, minimalist motorcycle with an ultra-modern design. As opposed to the retro looks of the Concept 90, this naked bike looks like it could fit in a BMW showroom tomorrow and not seem out of place.
The Concept Roadster packs the brand's classic two-cylinder boxer engine displacing 1,170 cubic centimeters and producing 123 horsepower and 92 pound-feet of torque. That power is routed to the rear wheel via a cardan drive, essentially a driveshaft, with a single-sided swing arm rear suspension. It's all nestled in a tubular spaceframe.

Watch the BMW M4 drift around an aircraft carrier

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

A Nimitz-class American aircraft carrier is big. Really, really big. After all, it has to be, in order to launch and recover a wide array of military aircraft. But when it's not catapulting F/A-18 Super Hornets and E-2 Hawkeyes into the wild blue yonder, what exactly can you use its 1,040-foot long flight deck for? Well, BMW seems to have an idea.
Now, obviously BMW hasn't paid Uncle Sam to convert the deck of the USS John C. Stennis into a racetrack (but what an idea!). That doesn't make this video of an Austin Yellow M4 slipping and sliding its way around the carrier deck any less entertaining. The video itself comes, weirdly considering the US aircraft carrier, from BMW of Canada, and we aren't really sure what the point of it is. There's no voiceover, or title or closing screens to lend the scene any context, and it seems unlikely that this sort of seemingly high-dollar video wouldn't be done sheerly for giggles. Whatever the reason for its existence, it's worth a watch.

BMW dishes on 'lightweight' 2014 M4

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

BMW's M cars are not what we'd call featherweights. Sure, the big, bruising twin-turbocharged V8s deliver a lot of power, but the fact of the matter is that more weight often equates to less fun.
Which is why we're so excited over a recent sit-down the blokes at Top Gear had with BMW's product manager for small and medium cars, Matt Collins. The chat led to talk of the M3 Coupe replacing M4. Collins confirmed that, yes, the new M4 would be turbocharged. The new engine will also be a six-cylinder, which should make purists happy.
"What we'd like is more focus on lightweight engineering." -Matt Collins
