For sale is my Zinno/Black 90 e30 M3, this very well cared for example has only 82k miles (that's only ~3,500 per year for the last 23 yrs!) I purchased this car from Enthusiast Auto Group, for those not familiar with EAG, they specialize in M-cars and only deal in extremely tight examples that meet the most stringent requirements, I encourage you to look at some of the other examples of what they offer and have sold in the past (website is enthusiastauto dot com; can also see the former ad for this car if you search e30 M3's and instead of "in stock" availability choose "sold", and this car is the 4th down in the list).

Car is mechanically near perfect with no expense spared to keep it that way, I have extensive books and records (see picture below) and car has never been tracked or abused. I had a post purchase inspection done by Eurowise in Charlotte NC, which came back clean (look them up on any forum and see what others say, guys there are legit and know their M-cars very well). Car runs fantastic and I would conservatively call it a 9.5 from a mechanical perspective

Interior is very clean and extremely tight, leather is in great shape with no heavy wear spots, rips or tears. There are no dash cracks or fading, carpet is in excellent shape and car has new oem floor mats.

Exterior is in very good condition, but in full disclosure it is not in the same near show car condition as the mechanicals and interior but is still very, very good for a car that has been driven and from 5 ft it looks great (took it to cars and coffee couple weeks ago and people were drooling). The exterior does have a few small cosmetic nits here and there, none are individually very significant or unexpected for a 23yr old car that has been driven - a couple of small stone chips on the front and hood, a small hairline crack in the spoiler, and a couple of pea sized spots of paint cratering on the roof and on the black rear bumper trim, see the pics below disclosing these minor nits. For me near the near perfect interior / mechanicals and still very good exterior represented exactly what I was looking for in that it provided me with the most value as I bought the car to enjoy and drive without fear of a small stone stone chip on the highway, and even with these minor blems, the exterior condition is still better than 90+% of what is out there.

Car represents a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage essentially perfect driver that is still in the top 10% of what's out there, or simply with a paint job you could have a show quality example in same category as the examples EAG and others have been selling in the upper 30's and even the mid 40's as of late

Way too many specifics to further list out everything that has been replaced / upgraded but have in excess of $10K in receipts. For serious inquiries please call me at 757 286 8615 to further discuss

Please Note: the accident that shows up via Autocheck as "minor roof damage" was related to hail damage back in '93 when the then owner made an insurance claim that shows up in the Autocheck report.

BMW M3 and M4 leak ahead of Detroit debut

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

Images of the overhauled BMW M3 sedan and M4 coupe have leaked ahead of a debut at next month's Detroit Auto Show, along with option sheets and some specs.
Both wear the standard hallmarks of BMW's M division. There's a subtle power dome in the hood, along with the requisite M3/4-branded strakes on the front fenders. The front and rear fascia are more aggressive than what we've seen in the 3/4 Series M Sport package, as well. Split-five-spoke wheels mean the neither car will stand out in the family portrait and those gold calipers, meanwhile, signify what has been rumored for some time - the M3 and M4 will be getting carbon-ceramic brakes.
The cabin is home to the standard suite of M accoutrements, including a new steering wheel and more heavily bolstered seats. Special trim, including carbon fiber, will be available to further set these cars apart from the standard models.

Car dealers, factories and ports close in the path of Hurricane Florence

Thu, Sep 13 2018

Hurricane Florence has caused CarMax to close four stores in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The closed locations are in Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Winterville and Virginia Beach. It is possible for the company to close more stores, reports Automotive News. Daimler and Volvo have also shuttered their manufacturing facilities in the region to prepare for Florence. The storm is expected to reach North Carolina and South Carolina today or tomorrow. Automotive News says every coastal car dealer it reached on Tuesday was closing, and others not in the projected landfall area were monitoring the situation. There are approximately nine million vehicles in operation in the area that Florence is expected to hit, with a vehicle density of 162 vehicles per square mile. It is likely that not as many vehicles will be lost as during hurricanes Harvey and Irma, as population is less dense; areas affected by those storms had over 300 vehicles per square mile. The chief economist of Cox Automotive told Automotive News that some 20,000 to 40,000 vehicles could end up flooded if Florence keeps its path; however, recent reports have indicated Florence has weakened to a category 2 hurricane on Thursday. Tesla has again unlocked more range for some of its older models to make evacuation easier; the same was done a year ago in preparation for Hurricane Irma. As well as automotive manufacturers and dealers, automotive transport providers are readying for the storm and clearing cargo away. The container and auto terminals at Port Charleston will be closed from Thursday to Saturday, affecting part shipments to the BMW manufacturing facility in Spartanburg; BMW's spokespersons have said no production disruption is expected. Parts are delivered via railroad to Spartanburg by Norfolk Southern, which is also suspending operations for the time being. Vehicle hauler United Road has moved its rigs to safer regions and suspended deliveries, and car carrier vessels are trying to make it away from the storm's path in time. Consumer Reports selling its road-tested roadsters [w/video]

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Here's a chance to acquire a celebrity-owned vehicles, and this time at a discount instead of a premium. So the celebrity in this case is Consumer Reports, that magazine that could be equally adored and abhored by car enthusiasts. CR buys all of its test vehicles and usually finds willing second owners within its own ranks, but its opening its small used-car lot to the public. On the forecourt are four roadsters: an automatic 2012 Audi TT 2.0 TFSI Quattro S-Tronic with 6,600 miles for $36,500, a manual 2012 BMW Z4 sDrive28i with 8,400 miles for $45,000, a manual 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK250 for $39,500 and a manual 2013 Porsche Boxster with 7,000 miles for $48,000.
Those numbers mean a savings of $9,000 to $10,000 before haggling - each car is listed with an "Asking price" so there could be some wiggle room if you show up with pockets full of dough and eyes full of serious intent. Since the money CR earns from the sales go back into the magazine's budget to buy more test cars, however, it probably won't take any oddball trades, so you can forget about getting any purchasing help from that track-day AMC Javelin project on blocks in the back yard.
The vehicles have been taken care of and spiffed up for sale; buyers will take delivery at the CR test track in East Haddam, Connecticut and get a tour of the facilities. While you're there they'll even take you on a lap around the track so you can feel how your car handles when driven by one of its testers. They will probably not help you with advice on which toaster and dehumidifier to buy - you'll still need to get a subscription for that. Have a look at the video below to see a day in the life of a CR test car.
