The lower front bumper, the hood and the front of the fenders has visible chips up close. The wheels are factory 18's powder coated satin black- three of the four have very minor curb rash, from a slight distance you cannot see the little marks. No rips or tears on the interior. Reason for the sale is to upgrade to a four door."

Car has Evosport headers, Evosport pullies, cold air intake K&N tube with dry filter, Rogue Engineering X-pipe with remote electronic cutout, Borla muffler, along with Evosport tuning. I also put a catch can in to trap condensation from entering oil and breaking it down. Just put new floor mats in and two brand new rear tires. You would think this car had 50k on it. The vehicle has Rogue Engineering blue rear trailing arm bushings and up front it has AKG Motorsport 75D front control arm bushings. This bushings are stiff and deliver allot firmer ride and feel when compared to stock rubber bushings. The car has Eibach lowering springs and 20mm wheel spacers upfront with 10mm spacers in the rear. Front strut tower brace.

Vehicle is daily driven and on occasion has gone to the track. It has run a best of 12.89 with drag radials. It has dyno'd 298 RWHP on a mustang dyno.  After all the point of having an M3 is too have fun.

If you bought a stock car and bought these modifications you would spend 4,000 on parts  alone plus the labor.

Oil changed every 3000 to 4000 miles max. Transmission fluid changed every 20k with redline D4, the factory fluid makes it hard to shift in winter makes SMG work to hard this fluid eliminates that problem. Differential fluid changed every 40 k with Redline heavy weight shock proof oil and friction additive rear differential never makes noise like you will hear most guys complain about. Spark plugs done every 40k. Coolant and brakes flush done once a year. The SMG fluid changed once a year along with SMG relay because everytime car shifts this relay activates so  i changed as maintenance. With the oil changes the valves stay in adjustment last two times no shim changed needed. New Clutch just installed at 179,000 miles.

The interior has matte black carbon fiber cloth material on trim accents. Windows are tinted 20% all around.

GRAND-AM, IMSA announce deal to bring DTM racing to US

Fri, 29 Mar 2013

It won't be until 2015 at the earliest, but the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA), Grand-Am and the Internationale Tourenwagen-Rennen have agreed to a licensing and cooperation deal that could bring a version of Germany's DTM series to the US.
When the American Le Mans Series and Grand-Am are officially combined next year, the resulting body will be called United SportsCar Racing (USCR). IMSA will be the sanctioning body for that series, and DTM races could be run as support events. It was also suggested by an ALMS chief that DTM races could be standalone or join NASCAR and IndyCar weekends.
With the so-called DTM America finally agreed to, there is now a way for manufacturers to run the same DTM-type cars in Europe, the US and Japan - last year Japan's Super GT series agreed to adopt "the basic technical regulations" of DTM for the GT500 class, the top class in the series. That already puts six manufacturers in play: Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW that run in Germany's DTM and Honda, Nissan and Lexus that run in Super GT. The DTM oversight body has invited American brands to Germany for the opening round of the 2013 season, and will begin actively courting their participation in the US series. Check out the press release from Audi with comments on the deal below.

BMW X5 eDrive Concept is utilitarian plug-in hybrid

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Bridging the gap between internal combustion engine-powered vehicles and electric vehicles are plug-in hybrids, and BMW has made one out of its biggest sports utility vehicle, even if it's just a concept car at this point. The plug-in hybrid X5 eDrive Concept debuted today at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it sits attached to a charge port on the show floor.
As we reported in August, the X5 eDrive Concept combines a turbocharged four-cylinder engine of unknown output with a 95-horsepower electric motor, to achieve longer range and lower emissions. The X5 eDrive can drive up to 75 miles per hour and 19 miles on electric power alone, manage about 62 miles per gallon (3.8 liters per 100 kilometers) and accelerate from 0-62 mph in under seven seconds, according to BMW.
Three drive modes are offered: one that automatically operates the hybrid system, an all-electric mode and a Save Battery mode that operates the vehicle using the engine only.

Behind the Scenes of BMW's 'Drift Mob,' Part 2 [w/video]

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

After spending four days practicing about a dozen drift stunt moves in a parking lot for an upcoming BMW "Drift Mob" internet mini-film, Rhys Millen, Sam Hübinette, Dai Yoshihara, Rich Rutherford, and Conrad Grunewald are finally ready for show time. We are brought to the huge urban traffic circle to see the stunts performed midway through the day to observe for a couple of hours.
The undertaking is massive, with multiple cameras set up, scores of crew members, a helicopter filming from above, a rigged pickup for car-to-car shots, sidewalks lined with security and plenty of curious onlookers, and oh, yeah, a major intersection of a top world city shut down for an entire weekend.
The five drifting legends are nestled in their identical red BMW M235i coupes, which have been modified with special handbrakes but essentially nothing else you can't get on a stock version, and are listening to direction from director Mic Rodgers and stunt coordinator Riley Harper. We're basically given free rein of the set, to shoot the cars, the drivers, and at one point, even hopping in with Yoshihara for one of the admittedly more tame stunts. Even then, the g-forces are so severe that they flip our cameraphone's video recording from landscape mode to portrait. Yes, this is a pretty cool day to be reporting on cars, and as we said during our first installment of our behind the scenes coverage of Drift Mob, we're honored to be the only US media outlet here to tell the tale.
