For sale is my beautiful 2002 BMW Z3 M Roadster. It has been very well maintained its entire life and has a clean title. Everything works as it should. The power seats and windows work, the ac is ice cold, the seat heaters work perfectly, power seats work effortlessly, and the Harmon Kardon stereo works as It should. I recently had the car fully inspected by my BMW mechanic and did quite a bit of maintenance to make sure the car is sound. I listed what was recently done below.

The car drives like a dream. The clutch is in perfect condition and has been replaced in the past. The throttle response and power is all there, and the engine does not leak any oil or fluids.

To my knowledge the paint is original and in excellent condition. There are no blemishes dings or scratches on the exterior and the headlights are free from pitting and fade.

I have maintenance records for all major repairs during my ownership

Recent maintenance includes:

New driveshaft guibo

Valve adjustment 5k miles ago.

Oil change

Front Control arm bushings

Front tie rods replaced

New light switch for interior lighting

Transmission mounts

Alignment

A common issue with all Z3’s is the rear sub frame and differential mount. When I purchased this car I made sure the rear sub frame and differential mount were both in perfect condition and had no signs of stress or wear. I had them inspected again at the time of my recent maintenance and they are still perfect and have no signs of wear or stress whatsoever. This is a great indication of how babied this car has been its entire life.

Overall, this car is in excellent collectors quality condition. There aren’t many final year z3m’s out there this is your chance to own a piece of BMW history.

Im open to all reasonable offers. Check my feedback. I have sold cars in the past on ebay, all with happy and satisfied buyers.

If you have any questions, would like to request specific pictures, or schedule a meeting to see the car in person feel free to Call, Email or Text me (949) 521-1961. Leave a message if I don't answer.

If you are an out of state buyer and would like to have the car shipped, I can assist with finding an affordable and reputable auto shipper. Or if you prefer to fly in and drive the car home, I can pick you up from my local airport (SNA).

PLEASE ONLY SEND AN OFFER IF YOU ARE A SERIOUS BUYER. NO FLAKERS. NO SCAMMERS. NO DREAMERS

THANK YOU.

Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo offers Europeans a pre-M3 performance 3er

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

Anyone that's spent some time behind the wheel of the Alpina B7 probably knows enough to understand what Americans are missing with this, newly launched Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo. We've got no lack of M models to choose from, it's true, but the Alpina touch offers a completely different driving character, with almost as much performance. A pity then that Alpina has no plans that we've heard of to bring this one across the pond.
Filling the gap between the current 3 Series offerings and the outgoing M3 (we're not likely to even see the new M3 and M4 until September's Frankfurt show, nor be able to buy one until after that), the B3 Bi-Turbo brings serious performance to the F30 3er. As the name indicates, two turbochargers are used to force-feed BMW's 3.0-liter inline-six engine, for a total output of 410 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. That power offers a big jump from even the BMW 335i sedan, and will push the B3 to 62 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 190 miles per hour. Alpina's own sport suspension underpins the thing, while the power is modulated by way of a eight-speed automatic transmission.
The new B3 will be easily recognizable thanks to its "Classic" 20-inch, 20-spoke Alpina wheels, and a rather subtle, aero-enhancing body kit. No pricing has yet been announced, but you will find a host of additional information in the attached Alpina press release below.

BMW to follow Honda back into F1?

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

The economic downturn wrought devastating effects on motor racing. Formula One alone lost half its engine suppliers when Honda left at the end of the 2008 season, and both BMW and Toyota followed at the end of 2009. But things are looking up again. Cosworth may have dropped out this season, reducing the engine suppliers to three: Ferrari, Renault and Mercedes, the latter of which admits that it may have left had the engine formula not changed. But Mercedes has stayed and is dominating the championship. Honda is coming back next season. And word around the paddock is it may not be the only one.
According to Giancarlo Minardi - founder of the team now known as Scuderia Toro Rosso - BMW engineers have been conspicuously spotted lately at F1 test sessions and grands prix, lending to speculation that the new engine regulations may entice the Bavarian automaker back into the series. According to Minardi, BMW's marketing division is pushing for the automaker's return to F1, with the board slated to make a decision in May. BMW would be more likely to consider an engine-supply deal rather than taking a team over like it had with Sauber, but with which team or teams it might collaborate remains a big question mark at this point.
As if that's not enough, Ford is said to be considering taking over Cosworth's aborted V6 turbo engine program to take both outfits back into the sport as well. Cosworth supplied F1 engines under the Ford banner for years, but returned under its own name for four seasons from 2010 through 2013 before shuttering its program to develop an engine to meet the new regulations adopted this season.

BMW 2 Series caught uncovered during shoot

Thu, 16 May 2013

Before we know it, the BMW 1 Series will be no more in the United States. Well, sort of. The current six-year-old coupe and convertible will be replaced by the fancy new 2 Series you see here, spotted completely uncovered during a photo shoot, with the 1 Series nomenclature being reserved for the hatchback and GT models that might not ever make it Stateside.
The roofline of the new 2 Series doesn't appear to have to changed all that much from the current 1 Series coupe, but the front and rear fascias have indeed been smoothed out. (Truth time: As much as your author adores the 1 Series, he's always found its rear end to be, well, weird.) It looks good, seen here in M235i guise, with large wheels, slimmer headlamps and large air intakes on either side of the front fascia.
The 2 Series is expected to come to the States, likely in M235i and 228i variants, though rumors suggest that we won't get a non-M 235i model. The M235i is expected to be powered by the N55 turbocharged inline-six that we currently enjoy in the 335i sedan, producing something like 320 horsepower. The 228i, unsurprisingly, should use the 2.0-liter turbo-four from the 328i, making around 240 hp. Both engines will almost certainly employ eight-speed automatic transmissions and six-speed manuals.
