2000 BMW M-Coupe, S52 3.2L engine, 5 speed manual transmission, 104,633 miles. Estoril Blue with beige interior. Car is in original condition with no major modifications. PA inspection good until May 2015.
History: I purchased the car in July 2012, with 100,206 miles, at Auto Traders International in Ephrata PA. From the Carfax I’m the 3rd owner. The car has been stored in garage the last two years and parked in the winter. It appears the previous owners did the same given the car’s condition. Tires: Michelin Pilots. Fronts were installed in March 2013. The rears were like-new when the car was purchased. Rear 245/40 ZR 17 Front 225/45 ZR 17 Brakes: The brakes work well. It stops straight and does not shake or pulse. Body: The body is in excellent shape with the original paint. There are small rock chips on the nose and rear fenders. Interior: The interior is in excellent shape. There is some wear showing on the driver’s side seat. Radio: Original radio. harmon kardon AM/FM Cassette, 6-CD changer. BMW sold 2.49 million BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicles in 2018
Tue, Jan 8 2019FRANKFURT — German carmaker BMW on Tuesday said it achieved record sales of 2.49 million BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicles last year. "BMW Group achieved record sales in 2018. 2.49 million vehicles mean the BMW Group is the world's leading premium automotive company for the 15th year running," Chief Executive Harald Krueger said. In 2017, BMW Group sold 2.46 million vehicles. Daimler has not yet released annual sales figures for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, so it remains unclear whether BMW brand overtook Mercedes-Benz in terms of sales in 2018. Sales of BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce cars were higher than Mercedes-Benz in 2017.
Jay Leno puts focus on some retro-inspired BMW bikes
Mon, 28 Jul 2014Jay Leno puts eight wheels on display this week for Jay Leno's Garage from a quartet of retro-inspired BMW motorcycles. They are the creations of husband and wife team Larry and Carol Romestant, who build each one in their home garage.
Larry is a former aerospace engineer who loves BMW bikes, especially the K models. Now, he's combining his passion with a real talent for fabrication to build his own cycles with his wife. With Larry and Carol the only ones working on these projects, it takes them six to nine months to build each one. In addition to the old-school looks, the motorcycles are supposed to be a bit more user friendly than stock. For example, one of them ditches the standard five-speed gearbox in favor of a six-speed unit to be a little more comfy when cruising at high speeds.

Car and Driver 10Best list cracked by Tesla Model S, BMW 3 Series left off
Fri, Nov 21 2014Car and Driver is keeping new blood pumping into its annual 10Best cars list with three new entries making it on for 2015 and a perennial favorite falling off. Among the biggest shocks this year is that the BMW 3 Series and 4 Series are no longer named, despite years of some portion of that lineup earning a mention. In another surprise, the Tesla Model S (specifically in S 60 trim to fit under the $80,000 cost cap) makes it to the 2015 roster and is the only electrically motivated member of the group. Despite the loss of the 3 Series, BMW isn't entirely shut out this year, because the M235i gets its name on the list. Car and Driver argues that the little coupe feels like a welcome throwback to the E46 chassis M3 of the early 2000s. In addition to the Model S, the final newbie to the annual group is the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The inclusion of these new members knocks the Audi A6/A7 family and Ford Fiesta ST out from the 2014 rundown. The other seven models carry over from last year, including the Cadillac CTS, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Honda Accord, Mazda3, Mazda6, Porsche Boxster/Cayman and Volkswagen Golf/GTI. The 2015 10Best cars list certainly seems to have something for everyone from the hot hatch fan to the family man and even the green car driver, thanks to the addition of the Tesla.
