THE OVERVIEW
Offered for an appreciating new owner is this rare classic 1973 BMW Euro 3.0CSi E9-chassis coupe!
Finished in "Chamonix" white over blue cloth, this 40+ year-old BLUE LICENSE PLATE CALIFORNIA classic BMW sports a
nice running factory fuel-injected inline six cylinder engine mated to a four speed manual transmission, original
manual sunroof, manual front and electric rear windows, Pioneer am/fm/cassette stereo, 16" ALPINA rep wheels with
near new rubber and reclining bucket seats. The NON-working odometer shows 09,439 miles but the actual miles on
this car cannot be verified. MUCH recent maintenance work has been performed on this car in the last 6 months. NEW
parts include: M5 starter, fuel pump and filter, ALL six injectors rebuilt by Fuel Injection Corp.,spark plugs,
distributor cap, rotor and Bosch coil, Ireland engineering radiator, thermostat, radiator and all coolant hoses,
vacuum lines, front shock tower anti-sway bar, battery and a few other items.
This gorgeous collectible "driver-quality" classic is being sold with clear and clean California title, current
2016 registration and original factory keys!
THE BODY AND TRIM
The exterior of this 1973 CSi is in good to very good 99% rust-free condition overall with excellent shock towers
front and rear and fairly solid underside with some beginning of rust areas on the floor sections. The paint has a
very nice lustrous shine with what looks to be original chrome and trim. It is missing one of the rear under-bumper
pieces and rear badging with other imperfections on the body of this car that include a few isolated corrosion
spots, touched up nicks and other minor blemishes. Inside the rear boot, the tool kit and the elephant skin side
inserts are missing though the original spare tire, jack, rigid cover panels and carpet are in place.
THE INTERIOR
The interior of this E9 coupe is in good overall condition with all working lighted gauges [except the odometer],
good heat with working blower motor, near flawless vinyl dashboard, nicely reupholstered seats front and rear, nice
door panels, original headliner and working manual crank sunroof, cool period-correct stereo and manual front
windows. Imperfections inside this classic cockpit include [but not limited to] deterioration and cracking of the
wood trim at the corners of doors and dash, one rear window inop, light cracking on the original "bus" steering
wheel, worn carpet pieces with one missing section, tattered bottom of the door upholstery bottom. Overall this is
one still very handsome cockpit that needs little to be perfect again!
THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This old coupe starts easily, runs fairly well [there is still an occasional sputtering which I am told is due to a
worn TPS unit], drives quite well with light and responsive steering and nice tracking down the road. The
suspension is supple and quiet, the braking is strong and true, the transmission shifts beautifully [recommend new
shifter bushings for an even crisper feel]. With its open cockpit and smooth inline six cylinder engine, piloting
this beautiful coupe on the open road is truly a blissful and attention getting driving experience.

Forza Horizon 3 adds Ford Police Interceptor, Jeep CJ5

Tue, Oct 4 2016

We're only a few weeks past the debut of Forza Horizon 3, and already the folks at Turn 10 are introducing the first of six car packs for the open-world driving game. Focused heavily on performance, there are still a few, um, oddballs, including one we're sure Forza's livery customizers will have a blast with. The Smoking Tire Car Pack brings seven new vehicles to FH3, with the Aston Martin Vulcan, Pagani Huayra BC, GTA Spano, Lotus 340R, and BMW M2 repping traditional performance vehicles. As per usual, FH3 renders each car beautifully and promises a solid approximation of real-world performance – even if you do ditch the roads and opt to rampage through the Australian countryside. While performance is good, the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and the Jeep CJ5 Renegade bring an off-beat vibe to this particular pack. We aren't certain, but this might be the first time the Police Interceptor appears in a blockbuster driving game. While we expect plenty of police car liveries for the Crown Vic, Forza's rabid community of tuners and customizers are sure to do much more with it. As for the CJ5, is there a better vehicle for tooling about Australia? Yeah, we didn't think so. The Smoking Tire Car Pack is available for free as part of the Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition or Car Pass program. Commitment-phobes can also download this single vehicle pack for $7. 2014 BMW i3

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

A Purer Than Ever Sort Of Driving Pleasure
This all started back in 2007 when the megacity urbanization trend hit full stride and BMW began brainstorming the 2020 future of mobility. The product was thus originally called the BMW MegaCity vehicle. Then the 'i' division of BMW was officially born in 2011, and we have since been exposed to various "leaked" images and official prototype unveilings of both this i3 and the i8 eco sports car. The latter (called i12 in the halls of Munich) was originally called the Concept Vision Efficient Dynamics and presented as a diesel-hybrid.
The time is now upon us for the market launch of the plug-in i3 (called i01 internally). The wider motoring public already has its opinions and BMW is listening to all of them, so there's a bundle of nerves around these limited drives of the i3 for a select few members of the media, Autoblog included. We came to an airfield outside of Munich and were handed an i3 test car to drive around a set course filled with blue- and white-striped cones. BMW tech experts were everywhere and some of the discussions around the various technical displays even got a little heated.

2015 BMW M4 Coupe

Mon, 12 May 2014

Launched out of the seat by a huge, unexpected dip in the road, yet still held largely in place by the smooth webbing of my safety belt, I clench my teeth waiting to come back to earth. A tenth of a second later, the M4 Coupe touches down and my body is slammed into the leather seat cushion. All of the air is forced out of my lungs upon landing, but the BMW's chassis, suspension and steering appear unfazed. Pleasantly surprised, I mash the accelerator to the floor in giddy pursuit of the car in front of me - an absolutely identical 2015 BMW M4 coupe.
A cavorting game of cat-and-mouse on a desolate twisty canyon in southern Portugal is an excellent way to explore the real-world driving dynamics and performance of BMW's all-new M4 Coupe. But to truly push it to the limit - without having to worry about oversize depressions in the asphalt - requires a dedicated racetrack. Graciously, my hosts have rented the famed Autódromo Internacional do Algarve racetrack, or Portimão circuit, for an afternoon of automotive debauchery.
It's hard to believe this passes for work.
