2010 Bmw 650i Coupe-low Miles-one Owner-clean Carfax-opportunity-must Look on 2040-cars
Memphis, Tennessee, United States
This BMW 650i Coupe is the best opportunity on Ebay. It is a One Owner with Clean CarFax and has been serviced at local BMW dealership with receipts. This car has been taken to fulfill a debt and just needs to be sold to turn it into cash. It is listed far below any other 650 with similar miles which are only 40K. The car just turned 4 years old in March of this year and has always been a southern car. There are no hidden costs and buyer will not have to deal with exhorbitant dealer fees. Just get this awesome automobile at a bargain price. This is a Black Saphire Metallic with Black Interior. The only flaws are a couple of small curb rubs on wheel(pic) and a blemish on the back bumper that didn't really show up much in the pic. Other than that the paint is excellent and the interior is as new. The BMW 650 had an MSRP of $78,500 and this one is equipped with over $10,000 of options which took the dealer delivery price to about $90,000, and you can buy this at the Buy it Now Price of $36,750. This is not much over offers I've had from dealers but it needs to bring what I am asking. The car runs and drives perfectly and all the optons work as new. I have a print out of options that number over 30. Some of the primary Options are: -Sport Package -Heads Up Display -Heated Seats -Hi Def Radio and Upgraded Sound system including XM and 6 Disc Changer -Navigation and Bluetooth -Keyless Entry and Go The list goes on and on. This fine automobile is a classic example of a luxury sport cruiser. It is fast and comfortable and performs just like "The Ultimate Driving Machine "should!! Look at all the pic and please call me on 901 277-3678 to discuss or answer any questions. You won't be sorry. I am using the Buy it Now or Offer type of auction which is the fairest way to go. Thank you for looking. |

BMW i8's three-cylinder sounds like it's shaping up quite nicely
Tue, 25 Mar 2014We've run across some rather interesting news... or perhaps we should say interesting sounds. The folks from Bimmerpost have scrounged up a short video showing a preproduction BMW i8 running through a few gears in Sport mode at a quick pace, and if you were concerned that the somewhat eco-friendly nature of the upcoming German sports car would neuter its ability to stir the aural senses, fret not.
Judging by the lovely noise coming from the engine compartment of the i8 in the video, BMW's expertise in tuning high-strung, small-bore engines - remember, BMW Motorrad has quite the penchant for well-conceived motorcycle engines - has come through loud and clear. Now, it's worth mentioning that BMW's controversial Active Sound technology will be included with the i8, so the production car may not sound exactly like this version, which is running with the tech disabled. Owners won't have the ability to disable Active Sound on production i8s.
In related news, Bimmerpost reports that BMW will equip the i8 with an external Active Sound Design system to go along with its Pedestrian Protection System. That means those on the outside will likely hear piped engine recordings from the rear and a sort of "howl" from the front in order to warn pedestrians that the otherwise quiet (when running on electricity, that is) car is approaching. It will also feature technology that can stop the car before contacting a pedestrian.
BMW restores classic Mini as it revives production in Netherlands
Wed, 13 Nov 2013Mini will be kicking off production in the Netherlands, a country that hasn't built a Mini-badged machine since 1966. In honor of this event, BMW Group Classic, the team responsible for all the cars in the BMW Museum, as well as being a spare parts and restoration company in its own right, revived a classic 1959 Austin Seven. That particular car, number 983, was one of the first Minis to be built in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands' JJ Molenaar's Car Companies built 4,000 Austin Sevens and Morris Mini-Minors between 1959 and 1966, although we imagine Dutch Mini production will be much bigger when it starts up again in summer 2014. A five-person team from VDL Nedcar, the group handling production of new Minis, took to the job of restoring the diminutive British car from nose to tail.
The 34-horsepower engine and the transmission were both completely rebuilt, while the door panels were redone by hand. Help from the Mini community aided the VDL Nedcar team in finding authentic replicas or original parts where possible. All told, the new classic Mini is a striking example of what a good restoration can do to a car. The Seven was repainted in its original Farina Gray, adding to the car's sense of authenticity.
China sticking to its guns on EVs for the future
Mon, Apr 27 2015Automakers are obviously free to develop whatever next-gen, zero-emissions tech that they want. However, if a company wants to get on the good side of the Chinese government, that strategy better include some plug-in vehicles. The authorities there are lending major support to plug-ins at the moment, and its forcing the auto industry to play along. According to Bloomberg, Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai, and BMW are all launching dedicated EV brands with their joint venture partners, and as many as 40 electric models could hit the Chinese market this year alone. However, analysts don't think the vehicles are going to sell well. Instead, the launches are essentially a way for companies to play nice with the government and help get the approval to build factories in the country. Take Toyota as an example. The company is pushing the future of hydrogen hard with promotional films for the Mirai and engineers talking down fast-charging EVs. Still, the Japanese automaker is getting ready to launch two EV brands in China with its joint venture partners, according to Bloomberg. China's push for alternative fuels has been happening for a while, but it really kicked into high gear last year. The government has set a goal to improve fleet-wide economy by 40 percent by the end of the decade in order to spend less importing oil and for the population's health. The plan has shown some success so far with hybrid and EV sales growing early in 2015.
