2006 BMW 650iC Convertible 4.8L V8 Engine 6 Speed Triptronic Auto Transmission 99,490 Miles Hi. Welcome to my auction for a 2006 BMW 650iC. It is offered with no reserve, high bidder wins, with a starting price of $11,800.00. We do not offer financing of any kind, but will be happy to assist with any outside financing you apply for or have in place. Payment is due within 5 days of auction end. We can deliver within a 100 mile radius for a fee or assist with shipping outside of that distance. Also,we do not have any additional dealer fees associated with the sale of this vehicle, what you pay is what you pay. Free 30 day tag, free title processing , etc. It just got back from a BMW service shop and had the following services done: Brakes w/ sensors. Oil change w/ filter. Air and cabin filters. Climate control knob was replaced. Reverse lights and marker lights replaced. Diagnostic check. Software update. Service intervals reset. The following was found to be wrong with the car: Previous repair work to the rear bumper cover. The parking assist does not work. The Tire pressure monitor system does not work. Below is a brief list of what we found after a pre-sale inspection of the car: The Engine sounds great. No leaks. No issues. No check engine lights or trouble codes associated with the engine. No smoking or strange noises. The a/c compressor, power steering pump etc. all work good. The Tranmission shifts perfect. No issues whatsoever. The Drivetrain is great. One of the rear tires is showing wear, the other 3 tires have well over 70-80% tread. New brakes with sensors installed. Rides down the road up to 150 mph with out issue. No strange noises or issues. The Exterior is good. It has had previous repair work to the rear bumper, it is in average condition in my opinion, but hard to see the flaws unless you really look. It has a some scratching to the passenger side side skirt. Other than that. It looks good. The Interior looks great. The seats look good. The carpet looks good. Everything works like it should. |

2015 will be the biggest year ever for cars at CES
Fri, Jan 2 2015Like the SEMA Show, major automakers are paying increasing attention to the CES, with 2015 expected to be one of the most auto focused yet. Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, General Motors, Hyundai, Mazda, Audi, BMW and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will all be in attendance when CES 2015 kicks off next week, taking up a record-breaking 165,000 square feet of space at the Las Vegas Convention Center. "We've come a long way from a single car on a carpet," Ford's Alan Hall told Bloomberg. Unlike SEMA, or a more traditional auto show, like the upcoming festivities in Detroit, CES doesn't necessarily focus on entire cars or the way they perform, but on the way our technology will interact with vehicles, and in how those vehicles will deliver information to drivers. "CES has become a major launch point for a lot of the big automakers," IHS tech analyst Mark Boyadjis told Bloomberg. "CES is a way for them to get on a global stage for technology." As for what kind of wares automakers will trot out in Las Vegas, we already know that BMW will show off an autonomous i3 electric car that can navigate its way through a multistory car park and can be hailed via a smartwatch app. According to Bloomberg, Hyundai will show off its own smartwatch app for the Genesis sedan, while Audi and Mercedes-Benz will show off autonomous vehicles next week. Automakers won't be the only companies looking to capitalize on CES. Tech firms, like chipmaker Nvidia, are becoming increasingly involved in the automotive game and will be in town showing their wares off to OEMs. "Two years ago, our booth would have been filled with PCs and people playing video games," Danny Shapiro, Nvidia's senior director for automotive business, told Bloomberg. "This year we made a strategic decision to shift the focus of the booth on automotive and de-prioritize some of the other things." Needless to say, you can expect to see a lot of news out of Las Vegas come next week. Stay tuned. Porsche 911 Turbos, and the new Lotus Emira | Autoblog Podcast #686
Fri, Jul 9 2021In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Road Test Editor Zac Palmer. The two talk about their experiences in the 911 Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolet, then pivot to talking about the BMW M3 Competition on the Indiana Nurburgring. They follow that up by discussing driver assistance systems, given recent experience in the 2021 Cadillac Escalade with Super Cruise and Hyundai's Highway Drive Assist. After that, they get into some news, talking about the new Lotus Emira and Genesis G80 Sport. Finally, they wrap up with a rather interesting two-for-one "Spend my Money" edition where they help two listeners with different car buying conundrums. BMW 5 Series future: 3-cyl engines and 600-hp M5
Fri, Jan 9 2015What if we told you the next BMW M5 would crest 600 horsepower? You probably wouldn't be too surprised, considering the steady increase in output that's accompanied each preceding generation. Now, what if we told you that the next BMW 5 Series would be available with a three-cylinder engine? Yeah, that'd be a surprise. But it may be a reality, according to a new report from Car. In its roundup of information on the next-gen BMW 5, code-named G30, the Brit mag predicts the new sedan will arrive in the summer of next year riding on an all-new platform that trims nearly 180 pounds of body fat through the use of high-strength steel, aluminum and carbon fiber. That platform, called the CLAR, which is short for Cluster Architecutre will give birth to not only a new 6 Series, but (for some reason) a 5 Series Gran Turismo and a Touring model, which won't likely be sold in the US. It will also underpin the 7 Series, eventually. Under hood, the lighter 5er will be paired with a new 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbodiesel for the entry level 518d. This is the same three-pot oil-burner found in the 2 Series Active Tourer and Mini Cooper D. Of course, considering how little of BMW's actual engine range is sold in the US, we very much doubt the 518d will make it across the pond. More likely candidates for the US market include a range of a 2.0-liter, four-cylinders, such as the 272-horsepower 528i, and potentially a four-cylinder diesel. Naturally, there will be six-cylinder mills, found on the 530i, 530d, 540i and M550d. At the very top of the range, of course, will be a 600-hp M5. There will even be a range of hybrids and plug-in hybrids that are sure to further annihilate the formerly logical BMW nomenclature. Car expects the new 5er to arrive next summer, which we'd wager would lead to a debut at either the 2016 Geneva Motor Show or perhaps next year's Auto China, in Beijing.
