This is my personal adult owned 2005 BMW 645. . . I assume if you're considering one of these cars, you are aware of the amenities and power of this vehicle. Insane power, Incredible comfort. I've owned this car for over 3 years and it's literally been the best car I've ever owned. I've simply got my eye on a Porsche 911 and ready to move on. This has been an efficient, reliable daily driver. Do your research on the 6-Series vehicles. The engines and transmissions are incredibly solid. The high mileage on this car shouldn't cause you to worry. There is NOTHING wrong with this car. It has run perfectly with absolutely no problems. I have maintained this vehicle to every possible extent. All work has been professionally done by the BMW dealership (Rasmussen) and Matrix Integrated in Portland Oregon. Feel free to run a carfax report on the car. The title is clean. Never been in an accident. I have a STACK of original receipts on the work done to this car. It was a Certified Pre-Owned car from BMW.
I want to stress, all maintenance has been completed on time for the life of the car. I just had the coolant system flushed last month. Oil changed every 5000 miles since I've owned it. You could say the car has been over-maintained. I have around $10,000 in receipts in general maintainance and another $10,000 in receipts for performance and aesthetic motifications. Whoever is lucky enough to have this in their garage will get to drive it for thousands of maintenance free miles. .

BMW 3 Series eDrive plug-in hybrid spotted in development
Thu, 06 Feb 2014BMW has shown its commitment to the development of hybrid and electric powertrains in recent years, with vehicles in its ActiveHybrid range, electrics like its BMW ActiveE and range-extended EVs like the i3 and i8. Plug-in hybrid-electric vehicles are clearly top-of-mind for the German automaker. We saw spy shots of the PHEV BMW X5 eDrive prototypes about a year ago, and now our shooters have come through with a 3 Series-bodied version of the technology, as well.
In addition to the obvious "Hybrid Test Vehicle" designation you see on the bodysides of this 3er, we also note that a second 'fuel cap' - presumably hiding the electric charge point - is in evidence. It's a fairly safe assumption that this 3 Series is making use of the same turbocharged four-cylinder engine and electric motor configuration that the X5 eDrive used. In the case of the X5, that meant a top electric-only speed of 75 miles per hour, with a range of just under 20 miles, and 0-62 mph in under 7 seconds. With considerably lighter, compact sedan bodywork clothing the PHEV drivetrain, we'd guess that the 3 Series eDrive could improve on each of those numbers.
Confident new Cadillac marketing boss ready to take on Tesla, BMW
Thu, Jun 26 2014When there's a former BMW executive heading Cadillac's efforts to boost sales of its only plug-in, it's a pretty safe guess that the marketing emphasis won't be on environmental friendliness and tree-hugging tendencies. The General Motors luxury brand has appointed ex-Bimmer executive Uwe Ellinghaus to be its marketing chief late last year, and the German-born Ellinghaus is now saying that he's targeting potential customers of Tesla Motors, in addition to BMW, for potential growth in sales of the Cadillac ELR extended-range plug-in. Appointed to Cadillac's head of marketing last November, Ellinghaus recently told Advertising Age that GM needs to highlight the Cadillac's looks and performance. He complimented Tesla for putting more emphasis on those attributes in the Model S than on its lack of emissions or lack of refueling costs (but Tesla hasn't shied away from highlighting the EV's savings). Ellinghaus says that trying to gear advertising "for people who are tree-huggers and green-wash an entire brand" won't be successful. You don't say. So far, the ELR hasn't made much of a dent in US car sales. Through May, Cadillac, which spent about $280 million on all of its US marketing last year, sold 293 units, whereas Tesla had been approaching the 11,000-unit figure for the Model S. With that in mind, Cadillac may be working on a sportier version of the ELR, as spy shots of a test vehicle from May revealed larger brakes and wheels. Say what you will about the name 4 Series, there is a method to BMW's madness. On one hand, it's easy enough to just buy into the logic that odd numbers are reserved for sedans and wagons, and that even numbers are reserved for coupes and convertibles. On the other hand, consider the idea that the higher numbers are used to separate the more dynamic, more engaging vehicles that use the same platform. It's that sort of separation that differentiates the 6 Series so nicely from its 5 Series roots, after all. And if we're being cynical, it also allows BMW to charge a bit more money for its lower-volume offerings.
So with the new two-door version of the 3 Series, BMW has gone the route of strengthening the dynamic virtues of its F30 chassis to create a car that's more removed from its sedan kin than one might think. And after spending some time with the new 4 Series on the roads around Lisbon, Portugal, as well as the famous Circuito do Estoril racetrack, it's increasingly clear that calling this car a 3 Series Coupe simply wouldn't be fair.
