This car has only 43K original miles. It's a convertible in great conditions. If you haven't driven a BMW 6 series, you need to try this out. If you have, you know what I mean. This car is a beast. Sports package, V8 4.3L Automatic/Semiautomatic. (you can drive it fully automatic or you shift gears yourself). It has a sports mode that gives you more power. I personally never use it because as it is powerful enough.
It's a beautiful car inside and out. Very comfortable. Seats and mirrors are programmable up to 3 drivers. The convertible top is electric and fully folds into the trunk. The trunk is pretty big when the top is closed.
The only issues with it are very minor scratches under the front bumper (from concrete parking stoppers, you can only see it from below) and the driver's back window rubber seal was cut when someone tried to break into the car once (they couldn't get in because the alarm went off). The latter is not a major issue so I haven't fixed it. If you want to fix it you would need to replace the 3/4 back window. Besides that it runs and looks great. See the pictures here and the full album in flickr. It has very low millage for a car like this. It's sold AS IS. I have a copy of the Carfax I can provide you or you can get yours using the VIN number. Clear record, good maintenance.
I have loan with a local Credit Union. It would take me about a 3-4 weeks to get the tittle released after I've paid off the loan, so please account for this time. Once the funds are secured you can pick up the car, but the tittle will arrive later on. If you are not picking it up locally (Miami area) you would need to pay for transportation.
Price: $26,000 OBO

BMW CS reinterpretation proves retro can be sexy [w/video]
Fri, 28 Mar 2014Designer David Obendorfer doesn't work for BMW, but perhaps the German automaker should give him a call. His CS Vintage Concept shows a singular ability to understand the brand's classic style and reinterpret it for today. He isn't some amateur, either. Obendorfer has an industrial design degree and has been penning the interiors and exteriors of yachts from the Officina Italiana Design for five years, which counts luxury shipbuilders like Riva and Sanlorenzo among its clients. His website shows a real passion and knack for modernizing '60s and '70s European cars, too.
Obendorfer prefers to reimagine classic automotive styles. "Retro cars are not copies of their predecessors or renovated specimens, rather they are carefully studied reconsiderations, strongly rooted in contemporary style," he tells Autoblog. For the CS Vintage Concept, he worked to update the looks of the seminal BMW 2000CS and its E9 chassis while placing them on a modern platform. Obendorfer's inspiration comes from his belief that the later CS models' design is partially responsible for defining BMW styling, with its shark-nose front and four round headlights.
The CS Vintage Concept's shape starts with a jutting hood and a quartet of LED headlights, but the whole design really comes together in profile. The Hofmeister Kink at the rear pillar with the BMW Roundel is a nice nod to the originals, yet the proportions still find the perfect fusion of classic and modern. The interior is minimalist, with a vast expanse of wood for the dashboard at first glance, but the latter opens to expose the car's infotainment system.
BMW takes 30th Anniversary Edition M5 out to drift
Thu, 04 Sep 2014If you only look at the videos from BMW, it appears that the best way to celebrate the 30th birthday of the M5 is some smoky drifting, and it sure looks like a great way to mark the occasion to us. Now that the Bavarian brand's new 30th anniversary special edition is all set to hit the road, the most powerful M5 ever is getting it own chance to roast its tires on video, as well.
The M5 30th Anniversary Edition shouldn't have any problem hanging its rear end out, really. Under the hood, its twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 is turned up to 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque and can allegedly sprint to 60 miles per hour in a scant 3.7 seconds. That's pretty impressive for any sports car but especially for a sedan that can still carry four passengers comfortably cosseted in leather and Alcantara upholstery.
BMW is making just 300 of these celebratory models worldwide, and appropriately for the anniversary, only 30 of them are going to be available in the US. If the special M5 doesn't make your heart race, the video basks in a little nostalgia, as well, by showing off the original model for some historical context.
Tailor-made BMW motorcycles presented by Petrolicious
Fri, Mar 27 2015Italy is known as a world hub of great design, whether from finally crafted suits and shoes or screaming V8s from Ferrari. In its latest video, Petrolicious transitions to two wheels to focus on a man bringing the country's sophisticated style to some quintessentially German cycles. Calling Franco Augello a motorcycle customizer is almost a slander against his work. Instead of wild paint, heavily modified frames and serious engine upgrades, Augello's creations look more like high-end models from the original factory. His bespoke BMW R65 for a close friend is a perfect example of that craftsmanship. At first glance, the bike, which he calls the Inge 09 for his buddy's nickname, looks like a vintage BMW, albeit one in great shape. Looking closer, you can start picking out little details like the minimalist touches around the fuel filler and leather-wrapped grips. There's nothing flashy about Augello's bikes. Instead, his designs look like well-restored cycles that are more concerned with tiny improvements in some places rather than absolute authenticity. They offer all of the beauty of a Ermenegildo Zegna tailored suit with the ability to fire up the engine and take a ride.
