1988 Bmw 635csi Base Coupe 2-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
San Carlos, California, United States
1987 BMW 635 CSi This vehicle is a part of my classic collection which I am currently reducing due to relocation to a smaller property with less indoor storage. I am the second owner and since I have owned it, I have done lots of repairs and made lots of improvements on it. There are no visible dings or dents on the car, the body is very straight and solid. Since this car is originally from Southern California, there is absolutely no rust on it. The car runs very strong and healthy. I fixed any defects known to myself and my mechanic. The recent SMOG test results are available and could be the best evidence of this car's engine performance. The car is currently registered as well. I have put so many new parts on this car including: catalytic converter, plugs, abs and many more. All gauges, everything electrical such as power windows and locks are functioning well. Original leather interior is still in immaculate shape with no tears or rips and rare speaker pods are in good shape as well. (Please see pictures) Trunk is in new condition and includes the original never used spare tire. Please be informed that I tried to the best of my knowledge and ability to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible however according to my sale policy this vehicle is being offered on an as-is basis. Please see all the pictures carefully and ask any questions you have before you engage in bidding. Please be noted that the previous two vehicles I sold were driven across the country earning me two unforgettable compliments upon arrival. Thank you and good luck! |

Old vs. new debate gets new life with $25,000 Fiesta ST vs. E46 M3 showdown
Fri, 10 Jan 2014You know who you are. There's probably a few of you reading; the ones that say, "Why would I spend $27,000 on a new Mazda MX-5 when I could get a used Chevrolet Corvette with more power." Yes, we're talking to you, used car proponents. While it is a fair argument, it's not like used cars don't come with drawbacks of their own, though.
In an attempt to put this new-versus-used argument to bed once and for all, Matt Farah of the The Smoking Tire has picked up a pair of $25,000 cars - a used, but lightly modified, 2003 BMW M3 and a 2013 Ford Fiesta ST. Naturally, there's a comparison.
Farah, as he's wont to do, does get into the nitty gritty of what each car is like to drive, and discusses the merits of used and new-car shopping. But as he rightly points out while testing the M3, "So, it is a good car. But like any used car, it really does depend on the individual car."
Europe's BMW 1 Series hatch caught looking fresh faced
Sat, 23 Aug 2014Hey, remember the BMW 1 Series? Yes, German brand's successors to the US-market coupe and convertible have one-upped the old car to wear the 2 Series designation now, but in other markets, our No. 1 crush still lives on, and as evidenced in these spy shots, the entry-level hatch appears to be undergoing a modest facelift.
We've spotted prototypes of the refreshed 1 Series before, with the majority of the car's changes focused around the front fascia. This time around, we're seeing the three-door variant, with wheels seemingly fitting of a Sport or even M Sport trim.
Of course, this One's not for US, as the small BMW isn't slated to come to our market anytime soon. Click through the gallery above to see what we're missing.
BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe blows the doors back on [w/video]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014BMW sure seems to take pleasure in confusing the hell out of us. It used to be pretty simple: if you wanted a compact Bimmer, you had to look no further than the 3 Series. Then it was just a matter of which bodystyle you wanted. But the smaller end of BMW's lineup has gotten more complicated lately. Never mind the 1 Series and 2 Series (in their various iterations) that have slotted in below it - now the 3 Series has been split in two: Want a four-door, get the new 3 Series. Want a two-door, the 4 Series is your address. Right?
Almost. Because now there's a 4 Series Gran Coupe that keeps the two-door's roofline (or some approximation of it) but adds an extra set of doors in the back, thereby bridging the gap between the 3 Series sedan and 4 Series coupe. And it's just made its public debut here at the Geneva Motor Show.
The difference between this and the two-door 4 Series is plain to see: it's got two extra doors. But what's the difference between this and the 3 Series sedan? About two or three grand, to start with - depending on which version (428i Gran Coupe or 435i Gran Coupe) you choose. But it's also sleeker, more muscular and altogether that extra bit sexier. Which is a good trait, as you can see from our gallery of live shots above, to have in your European sports sedan, coupe, or whatever you want to call it.
