1986 Bmw 635csi E24 117k Miles 5 Spd Cali/ Or Car Not E28 E12 E21 E23 Bbs Recaro on 2040-cars
Oregon City, Oregon, United States
You are looking at our 1986 BMW 635 csi.
E24 Chassis 5spd, Clean and clear title in hand. Looking to clear out my collection of classic BMW's. Car was parked a few weeks ago as the speed gears locked at 117k. As a result, the Oregon Pacific Wonderland Plates expired last month (May, '14). Car runs and drives great, I just didn't want to offset the mileage. As any older car will have, there are a few issues that can either be addressed before sale, or taken as-is. Such times are the drivers door lock is intermittent- unlocking from the trunk or passenger side still works. And a slight exhaust leak between the resonator and rear box. In addition to what I have included in the condition report section of the ad. Feel free to email with any questions or to set up a pre purchase inspection at your cost, by a mechanic of your choice, local to me. Bid with confidence. 100% feedback from over 280 buyers and sellers. I have sold many cars from my collection and for my friends on eBay. I look forward to continuing to provide the most thorough information and keeping that 100% feedback intact. Thank you for viewing my auction listing and Happy Bidding! |

BMW says yes to 1 Series M successor, no to M6 Gran Coupe with xDrive
Wed, 13 Mar 2013If you're anything like us, the first half of that headline made you smile. The BMW 1 Series M Coupe was, without a doubt, one of our favorite cars from the past few years, and according to a BMW Blog interview, Dr. Friedrich Nitschke, head of the company's M division, has confirmed that a successor is in the works.
"We haven't made a decision yet, but the 1M coupe was so successful, that in my opinion, I am absolutely sure we will build a successor," Nitschke told BMW Blog. Currently, BMW only offers the M135i version of the new 1 Series hatch in Europe, which Nitschke says is "not a pure M car."
Moving elsewhere in the M range, BMW Blog asked about the M6 Gran Coupe that recently debuted at this year's Detroit Auto Show. The obvious competitors for this car will be higher-power versions of the Porsche Panamera and Audi RS7, but while both of those offer all-wheel drive, the M6 only sends power to its rear wheels.
BMW i3 EV continues to shed camouflage
Thu, 11 Apr 2013As BMW gets closer to introducing the production version of its plug-in i3, we keep seeing the hatchback being tested with lessening degrees of design-obscuring camouflage. Last we heard, BMW is expecting to have the i3 ready by the end of this year, and the swirly, blue camo does little to hide its basic design in these latest spy shots.
We get our first clear look at almost everything above the wavy beltline including the silver roof edges and matching mirror caps, and it can't hide the dip in the beltline behind the B-pillar - matching what we've already seen on the i3 Coupe Concept unveiled at the LA Auto Show last year. Another change we notice is the lower portion of camo removed from the front fascia allowing us to see the air opening and the black, vertical inserts leading up to the fog light bezels. Judging by the "Hybrid Test Vehicle" stickers on the side of this prototype, we can only assume that this is the optional range-extended model.
2014 BMW X5 recalled over faulty child-safety locks
Tue, 27 May 2014BMW is set to recall some 6,400 of its new-for-2014 X5 SUVs built between December 12, 2013 and March 10, 2014 due to concerns that the child safety locks, if set, might deactivate without warning. The problem affects only those vehicles with the automatic soft-closing option.
According to the bulletin issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the lock mechanism on the rear doors "may not have been manufactured to correct tolerances," meaning the safety locks could disengage with a simple pull of the door handle. Basically, with a pair of tugs, the rear doors could be opened from the inside, regardless of child safety locks.
BMW is in the process of notifying owners of affected vehicles. Any necessary repairs will be conducted free of charge. Take a look below for the official press release from NHTSA.
