Bmw 530xi No Reserve Premium Navigation Cold Weather Package on 2040-cars
Flushing, New York, United States
Up for sale is my trusty 2007 BMW 530Xi despite the miles she runs and drives great.I drive her every day and she gives me no problems at all.The 530xi is in great mechanical condition and everything works the way it should Just watch my video and you will see for yourself! Every single light bulb lights up including the HID's and fog lamps and every switch functions properly. Even the tire pressure sensors and Parking distance monitor works the way they should. I have been driving this vehicle ever day and its a really nice driving vehicle. I get about 23mpg on the highway out of the 3.0 6 cylinder motor. The car was just serviced with fresh oils and new brake pads all around. The only problem is a low brake pad error appears on the dash despite having new brake pads. The brakes work fine. The tires have about 75% of the thread left. I just had the paint professionally buffed and polished and its ready for its new owner. The paint has a great shine to it and the body panels and body lines are straight . The exterior of this vehicle is in above average condition in my opinion..There is no major dents or scratches that I have noticed and the front and rear bumpers are very clean as well. There may be a small ding or tw. but nothing out of the ordinary for the vehicles age at all. Its a really nice vehicle all around! You can jump in this car and drive it 2,000 miles back home without any problems at all. The interior of the car is very nice . The wood trims and leather has held up amazingly and it is all intact. The carpets and other panels are all in great shape and all the mechanicals and electricals are 100%. The Leather seats are very firm and supple and have heat for those long winter drives. The air conditioning in this car is ICE cold and the heat is as hot as you could want it to be. The dash and door panels are also very nice Every single interior feature in this vehicle is working the way it should.Including all the steering wheel buttons sunroof, heated seats and Navigation system.I also have the complete tool kit, spare tire, jacking equipment and all the factory manuals and books the car came with from the factory. This vehicle was very well cared for and it shows. The motor compartment is clean and the engine runs smooth and quite .The 6 speed transmission shifts smoothly also .If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost if your local I can drop it off once paid. Child cobalt miners: Automakers pledge ethical minerals sourcing for EVs
Wed, Nov 29 2017BERLIN - Leading carmakers including Volkswagen and Toyota pledged on Wednesday to uphold ethical and socially responsible standards in their purchases of minerals for an expected boom in electric vehicle production. Demand for minerals such as cobalt, graphite and lithium is forecast to soar in the coming years as governments crack down on vehicle pollution and carmakers step up their investments in electric models. To cover its plans for more than 80 new models by 2025, Volkswagen alone is looking for partners in China, Europe and North America to provide battery cells and related technology worth more than 50 billion euros ($59 billion). Talks with major cobalt producers, including Glencore, at VW's Wolfsburg headquarters last week ended without a deal. More than half of the world's cobalt comes from the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country racked by political instability and legal opacity, and where child labor is used in mines. On Wednesday, a group of 10 leading passenger-car and truck manufacturers announced an initiative to jointly identify and address ethical, environmental, human and labor rights issues in raw materials sourcing. The partnership dubbed "Drive Sustainability" consists of VW, Toyota Motor Europe, Ford, Daimler, BMW, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo Cars and truckmakers Scania and Volvo. The alliance "will assess the risks posed by the top raw materials (such as mica, cobalt, rubber and leather) in the automotive sector," said Stefan Crets of the CSR Europe business network. "This will allow Drive Sustainability to identify the most impactful activities to pursue" to address issues within the supply chain.Reporting by Andreas Cremer.Related Video: Image Credit: Michael Robinson Chavez/The Washington Post via Getty Images Green BMW Ford Honda Jaguar Land Rover Mercedes-Benz Automakers Toyota Volkswagen Volvo Green Automakers Green Culture Electric Scania ethics mining
BMW 4 Series Convertible basks in the sun
Wed, 07 Aug 2013The BMW 4 Series Convertible will show its non-camouflaged face sometime later this year, but our spies recently caught this nearly naked prototype out getting some sun. As you'll recall, the droptop 4 Series replaces the 3 Series Convertible in the BMW range, and if our recent stint behind the wheel of the new 435i Coupe is anything to go on, this topless 4er should be quite a fun runabout for sun-drenched motoring.
To no one's surprise, the 4 Series Convertible shares all of its design with the 4 Series coupe, save, of course, the obvious roofectomy. Beyond that, the topless 2+2 will use the same engines and transmissions as the coupe, meaning it should arrive in the US in both 428i and 435i guises, powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four and 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six, respectively. Both six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions will be available.
The car spied this time around has the full M Sport visual treatment, with the revised (and better-looking) front fascia, larger 19-inch wheels, and attractive Melbourne Red paint. Interestingly, it appears this prototype has the standard xenon headlamp setup, rather than the full-LED option that's also available.
Cars with the worst resale value in 2022
Thu, Nov 10 2022Car values are all over the map right now. Used vehicles that were worth a small fortune earlier this year are now coming back to Earth, but the new vehicle supply remains tight. Prices are still elevated overall, but some models have seen more severe price drops. Depreciation strikes almost every model, supply constraint or not, though a few vehicles are leading the way. New research from analytics iSeeCars found that a handful of cars depreciated more than 50 percent over five years, with the BMW 7 Series dropping 56.9 percent and an average price cut of $61,923 over that time. The vehicles with the highest depreciation — or worst resale value — over five years: BMW 7 Series: -56.9% Maserati Ghibli: -56.3% Jaguar XF: -54% Infiniti QX80: -52.6% Cadillac Escalade ESV: 52.3% Mercedes-Benz S-Class: 51.9% Lincoln Navigator: -51.9% Audi A6: -51.5% Volvo S90: -51.4% Ford Expedition: -50.7% iSeeCarsÂ’ research showed that midsize trucks, sports cars, and fuel-efficient vehicles were slowest to depreciate over five years, while itÂ’s clear that luxury brands tend to lose value much faster. As iSeeCarsÂ’ Executive Analyst Karl Brauer explained, used buyers donÂ’t value high-end vehiclesÂ’ features as much as the first owners, so resale values tend to be softer. The tech and options that made the cars so expensive and appealing new donÂ’t add the same value on the used market. Read more: Cars with the best resale value Interestingly, electric vehicles also depreciated quite heavily, though they were just short of the abysmal numbers in luxury segments. The Nissan Leaf depreciated most among EVs, dropping by 49.1 percent. The average EV depreciation is 44.2 percent, with the Tesla Model S and Model X sliding in right under the bar at 43.7 and 38.8 percent, respectively. As iSeeCars notes, itÂ’s important to be vigilant when car shopping and not let your emotions win over reason. Shiny new luxury cars look great in the showroom, but you could end up taking a bath when you try selling them a few years later on.
