Bmw 528i 6cyl Manual Trans M5 Upgrades Cosmetic Damage Clean Title Runs & Drives on 2040-cars
Hialeah, Florida, United States
This is a magnificent 1997 BMW 528i with
manual transmission. This car has all the options available, along with 15"
lightweight BBS polished wheels, painted body mouldings, and a rear trunk
spoiler. Has upgraded new headlights (old ones got dull, they come with the car
as well), upgraded "angel eye" in the headlights along with HID's. The vehicle
has all the maintenance upto date, including a recently replaced steering rack,
fuel pump, water pump, and a complete flush and overhauld of the cooling system.
New ignition coils, new spark plugs, new fuel filter, K&N air filter, oil
changed every 3000 miles. The vehicle has approximately 185,000 miles on it.
Paint still shines like new!! Everything works! The car was parked outside my garage (kids were playing table tennis), when the garbage truck rolled around to collect the weekly garbage, and decided to leave a little gift on the side. We weren't even aware until the driver knocked on our door to inform us. The damage seems only cosmetic, but I am not a body shop, so I dont konw. What I do know is that the front headlight is scratched, the right front fender is completely gone, the front & rear bumper is broken, the right front & rear passenger doors dont open, and the windows dont roll down (they seem to slightly roll down, but stop when the regulator hits the dented shell). WHY SELL IT?? I was quoted $700 by the body shop to replace & paint the door shells, front & rear bumpers, the front fender, and buff out the scratches on the rear fender. I am selling because I dont have time or patience to get all this done, even though this is my daily driver, and runs & drives in it's current condition, instead, I will opt for something with a V-8. This would be an excellent car for someone to put a little TLC into. Please remember that this car is sold as used, so do not expect a perfect car. Please note, the first few pictures show
the vehicle before the wreck, with the M5 wheels and the newer tail lights which are NOT included with
this car, I am selling those separately if interested. The vehicle will come with the BBS wheels shown in the later pictures, and the original tail lights from 1997. THE LAST 6 PICTURES
Feel free to ask any questions, good luck & happy bidding! |

Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo burns all the midnight oil
Wed, 11 Sep 2013We've got good news and bad news for you, boys and girls, from the floor of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The good news is that the BMW M3 has come early, with a diesel, in wagon form - albeit with a different name. The bad news is that it will in all likelihood never make it to America. Which is a shame, because it's awesome.
What we're talking about, of course, is the new Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo. BMW's wickedly talented but lesser know stepchild has created a 3 Series with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel six packing 345 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. You - and by "you," we mean overseas buyers - can choose between sedan or wagon, as well as rear- or all-wheel drive. But the bottom line is a 4.6-second 0-62 time and a 173-mph top speed... from a diesel.
We scoped out the rear-drive wagon Alpina brought to the show, decked out in its signature blue. And you can, too, in the gallery of live shots above, along with the freshly assembled stock photos of both sedan and wagon versions in the gallery below.
BMW 2 Series shows us its insides
Tue, 16 Apr 2013We've already seen the upcoming BMW 2 Series testing in both coupe and convertible body styles, and now we're getting our first glimpse inside the new entry-level coupe. Judging by the sportier exterior that we've seen in previous spy shots, this car appears to be equipped with an M-Sport package, so this is likely not what the base interior will look like.
Compared to the current 1 Series, this new coupe will have cleaner cabin design including fewer buttons on the center stack and an instrument panel with more of a dual-brow design. This car has cloth seats with what appears to be a suede-like accent trim and blue stitching, and the seat's pattern is mimicked on the door panel. The 2 Series will also have a better integrated iDrive controller that operates the widescreen display mounted atop the instrument panel in a similar fashion as what we've seen recently on the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and CLA-Class.
As mentioned about the exterior, the bigger wheels, blue brake calipers, dual exhaust outlet and subtle decklid spoiler all lead us to believe that this is the M-Sport, but it isn't sporty enough - inside or out - to make us think this is the rumored M2 model.
Rolls-Royce Cullinan and BMW 8 Series spied south of Death Valley
Wed, Aug 30 2017Recently, we've stumbled upon a number of manufacturer prototypes running around. Usually, spy photographers sit and wait for hours with cameras primed in order to get a few shots of a car. We just got lucky. First, we caught the new Chevy Corvette ZR1 convertible during a Facebook Live video. A week or so later McGraw snapped a video of a ZR1 coupe cruising in his neck of the woods. Today, our ace photographer Drew Phillips caught a BMW test fleet filling up the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan and 8 Series coupe in Baker, Calif. Baker sits along Interstate 15, about halfway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. It's just south of Death Valley, and, being late August, suggests that BMW was doing some hot weather testing. Drew was filling up his car when the fleet rolled in. There were at least two of the new king Rolls and a single 8 Series. Both cars were wearing a full swirl camouflage wrap. It's not an uncommon place to see prototypes. Still, seeing a whole fleet roll in is quite a sight. We've seen official photos of the Cullinan before, but these pictures give us our best view of the profile and rear we've had so far. From a distance, it looks like a high-riding version of the new Phantom with a hatch in place of the trunk. The taillights are obviously just filler units. Expect the final version to look very much like the squared off LED units on the Phantom. Likewise the interior and engine should be straight from the Phantom. That means a twin-turbocharged V12, though power is likely to be sent to all four wheels. We've seen the full BMW 8 Series concept a few times now. The proportions on the production car look the same, with a long hood and even longer wheelbase. The nose isn't quite as aggressive as the concept, but we expected the styling to be toned down to meet crash and safety standards. As for engines, look for six, eight and (hopefully) 12-cylinder power under the hood. A plug-in variant is also expected. Both cars have been in development for a long while, so look for full debuts sometime this auto show season. Maybe we'll happen upon some more test mules between now and then. Related Video:
