I'm selling my 2008 535xi. It is in mint condition and is flawless. It currently has 74k miles but will go up slightly as I use it as my daily driver. The car looks new still. I got the car in feb of 2013 and started doing the mods in March so everything has just been done. Reason I'm selling is I have a chance to get a newer CTS-V and would like to get it. That being said I have to sell this car first. Everything works perfect it runs and looks like new still. Since I purchased the car I have recently done and oil change , new spark plugs , new coils , and new break pads and rotors, new tires.I got the car in Feb of this year and it was completely stock when I got it. It has not been raced or tracked and has been very well taken care of. If you would like to talk to the dealer that I purchased the car from I have the number and he will verify that it was totally stock when I bought the car. All of the mods were installed the right way and I also have the phone numbers to the shop's that installed everything so you can speak to them as well if you would like. The interior is a 9 out of 10 the exterior is a 9 out of 10 and mechanically it is a 10 out of 10. No drips , leaks , alignment is on ect.

Now onto the mods. Here is a list of what has been done to it so far

1.) 19" staggered Avantgarde M310 matte black wheels
2.) window tint
3.) blacked out tail lights and side markers
4.) M5 front bumper
5.) M5 side skirts
6.) LED Glow underbody kit
7.) LED Glow Interior kit
8.) Mtech angel eye upgrade
9.) Continental DWS all season tires
10.) AR Designs down pipes
11.) Evolution Racewerks Intercooler
12.) Evolution Racewerks Charge pipe
13.) HKS blow off valve
14.) JB4 G5 ISO Tune
15.) BMS Methanol injection kit
16.) BMS Oil Catch Can
17.) BMS Dual Cone Intake System
18.) Black Kidney Grills
19.) Front Lip spoiler
20.) Custom gauges done by Simon off N54 tuning

This car has been modded with the best parts available and cost me almost $10,000 in parts and labor. It puts down right around 450hp it's fast awd and turns heads wherever it goes. I have more then I'm asking into this car so no low ball offers I'm selling it for right around the blue book price. It has every option that was offered except heads up display and the adaptive cruise control but it does have regular cruise control. Like I said all the mods are only a few months old and this car has never been raced or tracked. It truly is in great condition.

Im a very honest person and am not about wasting peoples time or having them come to get a car that isn't what it was listed as. So that being said if you have any questions please contact me via text or phone call at 715-214-9353.

Also due to the high amount of internet scammers these are my rules if you come and pay in cash I will check all the bills to verify that they are real. If you come with a cashiers check from your bank it will first be verified that it is real. I would prefer that if you are buying the car we do the deal in person im not too keen on shipping the car. Also my car does have a lien on it. It is through a local bank in my town 3 minutes from my house. So If you bring cash we can go right to my bank and pay off the loan and get you the release of lien right then and there. If you are paying by a cashiers check from your bank you can bring that and we can go right to my bank and have it taken care of. I have a zero tolerance for scam artists so like I stated all funds will be verified as real before the car will be released.

This car is a great car, its fast fun and looks great. Like I said if you have any questions please don't hesitate to call or text me. I also have more pics and can take pics of whatever you would like if you request it.

10 automakers shack up in Detroit hotel to talk Takata airbags

Sun, Dec 14 2014

Since Takata has decided not to take the lead concerning potential issues with its airbag inflators, the automakers have. Perhaps that's unsurprising, since it's the automakers, not Takata, that will take a beating on the dealership floor if consumers decide its models are a health hazards. The Detroit News reports that Toyota, Honda, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi and Subaru met in a hotel conference room near the Detroit Metropolitan Airport last week to sort out a way to understand the technical issues involved. So far, faulty airbag inflators have been ruled the cause of five deaths and 50 injuries around the world, but neither Takata nor investigators understands exactly why the inflators are malfunctioning. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently asked Takata to issue a national recall, Takata declined, citing a minuscule failure rate and the fact that it's still investigating the issue. Toyota and Honda then made an industry-wide appeal for "a coordinated, comprehensive testing program" that would pinpoint the problem inflators and get them replaced, and that's what the Detroit meeting was about. Numerous issues, however, will make this a long row to hoe: simply getting the parts to replace the nearly 20 million inflators in cars recalled around the world so far - even working with other suppliers - will take a years, but more importantly, no one knows if the replacement inflators currently being installed will suffer the same issue. Answers will hopefully come quickly with Takata, the ten automakers and NHTSA all independently investigating the problem.

Six 'shut up and take my money' cars

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."

BMW offering glitch fix for i3 with range extender

Thu, Mar 12 2015

The BMW i3 has received quite a bit of acclaim since its release, with the electric powertrain grabbing a spot on Ward's 10 Best Engines list and the high-tech machine earning the nod as 2015 Green Car of the Year. However, Consumer Reports uncovered a vexing problem with the range-extended version of the hatchback that has plagued it until a recent software update. While CR was driving the range-extended i3 last year, it discovered that when the internal combustion engine was running during low states of charge, hard acceleration could suddenly cut back with no warning to the driver. This was especially problematic when passing. BMW knew about the issue and promised a software update in the spring. That improvement is now available. BMW spokesperson David Buchko tells Autoblog that the software update adds a percent-of-charge indicator to all models of the i3 to let drivers know just how much juice is left. For the range-extended model, it also provides a warning of possible power reduction when the charge reaches two percent. According to Consumer Reports, the revision lets the car anticipate needing more reserve power based on the topography from the navigation system, as well. For any i3 drivers who want the upgrade, they need to visit a dealer for installation, according to Buchko, but it should be come at no cost to owners. Related Video:
