2001 - Bmw 5-series on 2040-cars
Logan, Utah, United States
Beautiful 2001 540i with LOTS OF EXRAS!!! This is a beautiful example of a 2001 BMW 540i. My wife and I bought this for an around town cruiser for my wife and once the snow hit, she was afraid to drive something that wasnt AWD. We dont have room to keep it, otherwise it would stay... Exterior- The paint and body is in very good condition for a 13 year old car. The front has a few rock chips, but nothing excessive. The car has been clay bar cleaned and buffed to perfection, so the whole car is perfect smooth to the touch. It is a very straight body car, no damage. The windshield isnt cracked and all the other glass is perfect. The headlights have LED rings, and have HID bulbs. SUPER bright at night! The fog lights are SUPER bright and from an X5(I believe), The wheels on this car were powder coated(by previous owner) a very dark root beer brown. So dark, its almost like a metallic black. They are in perfect condition, no curb rash, no bends. The rear tires still have some life left(~5k miles) and the fronts are ready to be replaced. Interior- Overall, I rated the interior very good and that can be seen in person(and pics)! The leather on the seats, doors, armrest, and steering wheel have no cracks or tears. The power seats work great in all directions. The radio works and sounds great, has an original in dash 6 CD changer. It also has an iPod/iPhone(old style connector) connector for connection to your music. The display has a slight dark spot on the left side, but all numbers and letters are completely visible.

2014 BMW 2 Series configurator drifts online
Wed, 15 Jan 2014Monday marked the official, live unveiling of the 2014 BMW 2 Series. Not a company to rest on its laurels, BMW has unveiled the online configurator for the replacement to the much-loved 1 Series. Potential customers can select from either the 228i or go all-out and get the M235i. We shouldn't have to explain which car we've been building all day.
As a recap, a base 228i starts at $32,100 not counting a $925 destination charge. It includes 240 horsepower, 258 pound-feet of torque and, when optioned with the six-speed manual rather than the eight-speed automatic, a perfect 50/50 weight distribution (the 8AT balances at 50.3 in front and 49.7 in back). The M235i, meanwhile, starts at $43,100 (although you can't actually buy one for that, because the configurator forces you into a $1,450 Dakota leather interior). It offers up significantly more grunt, with 320 hp and 320 lb-ft from its 3.0-liter, turbocharged straight six.
Click over to the configurator and play around.
2014 BMW 6 Series M Sport family to start from $80,625*
Fri, 17 May 2013BMW shoppers looking for sportier and more luxurious versions of the 6 Series and 6 Series Gran Coupe without stepping up to the mighty M6 now have something new to check out. Offered on all versions of the 640i and 650i for the 2014 model year, the company's M Sport Edition package goes on sale in June with prices starting at $80,625 for the 640i Coupe, $83,325 for the 640i Gran Coupe and $87,925 for the 640i Convertible (*all prices including $925 for destination).
This package will allow standard 6 Series models to receive M6 styling cues like the more aggressive, aero-tuned front fascia, 19-inch wheels and even the option of the M6-exclusive Sakhir Orange metallic hue shown above. Matching the M6-like exterior, the interior will also be upgraded with an M-specific steering wheel, M badges on the door sill plates and the option of BMW Individual leather with a unique white and orange color scheme. With price increases of well over $5,000 for the M Sport Edition, this package also includes plenty of standard features like the company's Professional hi-fi audio system, head-up display, ConnectedDrive Navigation and - wait for it - a ski bag.
Autoblog fan favorite car ads from Super Bowl XLIX
Mon, Feb 2 2015Super Bowl XLIX is in the books, and the New England Patriots emerged victorious. Of course, if you're like us, the big game wasn't so much about the battle between the east coast and west, so much as a fight between the world's automotive advertisers. We collected and collated all of last night's new ads and put them together for you to vote on. And yes, we're limiting this year's contest to last night's new features. That's why you aren't seeing Dodge's epic Wisdom among our collection of commercials, and it's a similar story with Chevrolet's Truck Guy Focus Group series, which highlights the new Colorado. You can still vote for your favorites. We won't be closing the voting on our Super Bowl page, so while the winners and losers are correct as of this writing, it's entirely possible that there could be some changes in the rankings as time goes on. So, without any further ado, here are the winning ads based on your voting. Nissan: With Dad Fiat: Ready For Action Jeep: Beautiful Lands BMW: Newfangled Idea Mercedes-Benz: Fable NASCAR: America Start Your Engines As for those ads that failed to impact you, loyal readers, Toyota was the absolute, undisputed loser. The Japanese brand ran four ads in total – two for Toyota and two for Lexus – and all of them have negative tallies as of this writing. Lexus' Make Some Noise and Lets Play and Toyota's One Bold Choice and My Bold Dad both had very weak showings among the commercials that aired, although they weren't alone. Neither Mazda nor Kia scored particularly well, despite featuring celebrity magic act Penn and Teller and former James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, respectively. Chevrolet was the winner of the losers, as of our writing, recording the fewest downvotes for its audience-punking The Big Game ad. If you want to take a second look at the losing ads, you can head back to our Super Bowl page for the complete collection. But for now, head into Comments and let us know what you think of the results.
