2000 BMW 540I FULLY LOADED with all the options a BMW Should have. This is a great comfortable reliable car that would be a great family or business car. The car looks good going down the road and drives very smooth. The best feature about this BMW is, I have just replaced the transmission in the car. These BMW around 140,000 to 200,000 the trannys go. You can now buy this BMW with no worries, as it even comes with a warrenty. The new transmission has about 20 miles on it. When the transmission was being replaced the shop had a great deal on a newer motor with less miles. The motor has 65,000 miles. I believe this should make this Car stand out. Now it can just be the luxury car you are looking for.
The car is the light silver color with no dents or scratches. The paint looks brand new, it has just been taken well car of. Upgraded head lights, and the extra wide Sports model tires with BMW Rims. Tinded windows and large Power Sun Roof. The car looks in show room quility. Very well maintained.
The interior has nice looking power and heated leather seated. Build in Naviation, Build in Car Phone, Cruise Control, Seat memory, Cassette and 6 disk Cd Player, The Car is Automatic and Triptronic. So you can shift or cruise on auto. Very clear and load speakers. The rear seat windows have build in sun screens. Simply pull them out to shield your kids eyes, and when done, just slide them back into the window. Carpets and seats have no stains.
The motor runs very stong and clean. gets good gas millage and as mentioned before new tranny.
This is just a nice clean good looking luxury car with all the options. Perfect to drive to the job, and use the triptronic to get away on the weekends. At the moment there is no other BMW this year with the new transmission. Gus Van Sant casts the BMW i8 in soft light
Sun, 18 May 2014BMW has spent the better part of a century building its reputation with fossil-burning transportation, but now it's banking heavily on the success of its new i family of electric vehicles. In order to succeed, it will need to sell examples of the i3, but sell the idea with the i8. And in order to do so, it is going to need some out-of-the-box promotional thinking. And that's just what it seems to have done with this latest campaign of television commercials.
The series of three (or at least that's how many have been released thus far) ads wax more poetic than most of the car ads we've seen. But while they might skimp on the technical details, they don't skip over the talent. The videos are the work of Oscar-nominated director Gus Van Sant, the cinematic artist best known for films like Good Will Hunting, Milk and Finding Forrester.
Van Sant has also solicited the voices of Sam Hazeldine (Caleb from Resurrection), Sting's daughter Mickey Sumner (Sophie from Frances Ha) and Michael Pitt (Jimmy from Boardwalk Empire), but doesn't hide them behind the microphone in the recording studio. Instead they serve as the face of Bavaria's new hybrid sports car, and the results are rather stunning. See for yourself in the trio of videos below.
BMW i3 REx rated at 117 MPGe, 39 mpg with 72-mile EV range
Thu, May 22 2014The numbers haven't made their digital way to the EPA's website yet, but we can now confirm that the BMW i3 with range extender will be officially rated at a combined 117 MPGe with 39 mpg once the battery runs out. That puts the amazing little city car just ahead of the pure-electric Fiat 500e (116 MPGE, combined) and behind the Honda Fit EV (118) and the Chevy Spark EV (119). In the plug-in hybrid category, it's at the top of the class, beating out the Honda Accord PHEV, which is rated at 115 MPGe but is also a much bigger vehicle. The i3 REx also has an official all-electric range of 72 miles and can go another 78 on gas (for a total of 150). When it's not carrying around the extra fuel tank and engine, the all-electric i3 gets 124 MPGe (combined), which is the currently the highest in the US. The i3 EV also has an all-electric range of 81 miles. BMW expects to deliver the first i3 REx in the US this week and delivered the first all-electric version earlier this month. There was a bit of a hold-up on the range-extender version thanks to a delay with getting these EPA numbers. Now that all the bureaucratic boxes have been checked, it's off to customer driveways they go.
2013 BMW M3 Coupe Lime Rock Park Edition

I like difficult cars. I like turbo "moments," dramatic weight distribution, low-grip, peaky power delivery, and overly quick steering, along with ultra-short wheelbases and any number of other non-racecar-perfect dynamic foibles. I love the newest generation of BMW cars and engines - all turbo'd up with tons of torque and power everywhere in the rev range, too. But what I think the enthusiast community will miss when this 2013 M3 Coupe becomes the 2014 M4 Coupe - replacing its idiosyncratic, small-displacement, revvy V8 for something like a triple-turbo, directly injected, inline six-cylinder powerhouse in the process - is the work it takes to drive the car fast and perfectly. Sometimes small flaws just make things better; my mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun, and all that.
The idea of this E92 M3 going away then, magnified by the loss of the M3 badge for the coupe, is at best bittersweet for me. This generation of M car is already surpassed in terms of raw thrills by the better-than-ever Mercedes-Benz C63, a car that doesn't ask its driver to sacrifice low-end grunt or the very latest in amenities in return for stellar backroad performance. Yet any time I've been lucky enough to lap a track in the M3, it has quickly become clear that the Bimmer is the better on-edge tool. With the freedom to wring the neck of the 4.0-liter V8 and room to exercise the lovely balance of the car, the E92 is hard to match (even six years after its debut).
