For sale is a 2000 BMW 540i with Sport, Premium, and Cold Weather packages. This car runs great; the engine pulls strong with plenty of power and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly. State inspection and emissions are good until 3/2014. Recently got new rear tires, coolant flush and fill, oil and filter change. The previous owner informed me that it received a full brake job on all four corners and also got eight new ignition coils. After looking at the condition of the brakes, I have no reason to believe otherwise. Items wrong with the car include broken cup holders, passengers rear window doesn't work, driver's low beam doesn't come on (daytime and highbeam work), minor chips, dings and scuffs typical of a 13 year old car(not noticeable from 10ft away). This is a sharp looking car that's fun to drive and turns heads; only selling because I have too many vehicles.
This car is to be picked up in person within 7 days of auction end, I will not deliver ir. A $300 nonrefundable deposit through Paypal is due within 24 hours of auction end. Lil Wayne's daughter gifted Ferrari GTO, BMW X4 for 16th birthday [w/video]
Thu, Dec 4 2014It must be nice to have ludicrously rich parents. Rapper Lil' Wayne's daughter Reginae recently celebrated her 16th birthday with a huge party in Atlanta. Where many teens would be overjoyed just to get a family hand-me-down for a first car, the rapper's daughter got two brand-new vehicles – a BMW X4 and a Ferrari 599 GTO. The X4 would certainly be extravagant by itself, but it's not totally without precedent. Anyone who watched even a snippet of MTV's old show My Super Sweet 16, probably saw a few vehicles that were just as expensive. However, the concept of any newly licensed teen behind the wheel of a Ferrari is absolutely terrifying to us. This one is even crazier, with 661 horsepower and a chassis capable of lapping Ferrari's Fiorano test track quicker than an Enzo. Of course, with just 599 built, Reginae could probably just park the coupe and let it appreciate enough to finance her next big party. The BMW is reportedly going to be her daily driver, anyway. According to TMZ, Reginae's mother and stepfather bought her the Ferrari with Lil' Wayne's blessing. BMW readying competition pack for M5, M6
Thu, 25 Apr 2013According to Car and Driver, citing a report in BMW Blog, BMW will be offering performance upgrades - likely called the Competition package - for its M5 and M6 models (including the convertible and Gran Coupe versions of the M6). Both cars will continue to be offered with the normal 560-horsepower, 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engines, but this new performance pack is expected to add an additional 15 hp to the mix.
No need to worry, however - the upgrades won't simply be limited to a small boost in power. These M5 and M6 models will reportedly get new wheels, black exhaust tips, a more direct steering ratio and reworked suspension geometry which will provide better overall handling. Top speed is said to remain governed at 190 miles per hour, but that these extra improvements will shave one-tenth of a second off the cars' 0-60 times.
No pricing information has been revealed as of this writing, though we imagine it'll likely come at a substantial cost over the current starting prices of the M5 and M6 ($90,200 and $108,350, respectively).

It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second.
Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time.
