I'm the 2nd owner and have had this car for over 7 years. It has been completely babied, full synthetic oil, Shell V-Power gas and 100% garaged at home since day one and garaged at work for the last year. It has never been in an accident and has a clean title. Feel free to CARFAX it.

It's been solid since I've had it, no weird noise or rattling. The mileage is mostly highway as I've always had a long commute to work. I've spent a lot of money over the years to keep up with maintenance and upgrades, so it's very well kept, lots of compliments and "thumbs up" all the time! It handles beautifully, engine and transmission performs like new! As most of you may know, this is one of the finest sedans ever built! I'm just selling it along with another BMW of mine to get an M5.

The list of things I've done are extensive but here are a few things that come to mind (upgrades & features):
- Complete paint job in 2012 due to hail (hood was replaced), factory Alpine WHITE and Jet BLACK roof. It has 3 coats of Euro-clear clear coat with a minimal life expectancy of 10+ years.
- M-Tech front and rear bumpers
- Rear ///M style trunk lip spoiler
- Imitation headlight nozzles =)
- Matte black front hood kidney grills
- New front windshield rubber weather strip/gasket

- Full Bilstein shocks/struts on all corners ($900)
- H&R sport springs with 1.8" drop all around ($250)

- Custom mount bolted directly to the back of the rearview mirror for Valentine V1 radar

- EBC red front brake pads
- New OEM oil pan gasket
- New OEM oil filter housing gasket
- New OEM fuel filter
- I use Mobil-1 full synthetic oil, 5W30 and high Octane fuel on every refill (99% of the time it's from SHELL, V-Power)
- No major leaks on the garage floor!!!
- I still get about 22-24 MPG with this car
- 2 OEM BMW keys with remote door, trunk and panic button (you can also use for automatic window & sunroof opening!!!)
- Large stack of paperwork and records
- CLEAN BLUE TITLE under my name and address

***I'm asking for $7800 cash - NO TRADES, NO PAYMENTS - I am not a dealer

***Call or Text me at 972-897-3094 for an appointment to view & test drive.

I'm hoping to sell it to a true e39 lover and BMW enthusiast that will continue to take care of it so it can be pampered. =)

First Ride: 2015 BMW M3 and M4

Getting Our Butts In The Seats
Both the non-M BMW 3 Series sedan and 4 Series coupe have so far brought much pleasure to us at Autoblog. The terrific four-cylinder 328i trim has become our favorite of the 3 Series line, while we have yet to get a chance at the 428i coupe. That said, the 35i trim powered by a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine is not exactly to be sniffed at.
We all know the ones you're really waiting for, though. The F80 fifth-generation M3 sedan and the supremely sexy F82 M4 coupe. Rumors have been buzzing for a couple of years now that the engine would be another V8, only turbocharged this time, or else a tri-turbo six. Well, today BMW confirmed that the mill under the hood's power bulge is a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo of the biturbo variety, referred to internally as "S55B30 variant."

BMW working with Dainese to put airbags in motorcycle suits [w/video]

Fri, 19 Jul 2013

Addressing the safety concerns of its customers, BMW Motorrad is co-developing a rider suit with Dainese to feature something that's much more common in automobiles: airbags.
Starting with Dainese's D-air Protect System, which is made up of inflatable protectors that deploy in 15 milliseconds, the two companies will integrate the technology into a BMW Motorrad brand, one-piece racing suit, the DoubleR RaceAir. Later a different, street-oriented airbag system that can be retrofitted to bikes will be offered to Beemer riders.
The DoubleR RaceAir is expected to be presented at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan in November, after all required crash testing has been completed.

BMW slapped with discrimination suit by EEOC

Thu, 13 Jun 2013

According to a report from CNNMoney, BMW has been hit with a lawsuit from the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission after revised criminal background check policies resulted in the dismissal of 88 contractors, 70 of whom (that's about 80 percent) were black. A total of 645 contractors were required to submit to background checks at BMW's facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina after BMW switched contract companies at its plant.
Though the 88 persons who were not rehired by the new contractor all had criminal records, that may not necessarily be a legal way to screen applicants, as the EEOC counters: "BMW's policy has no time limit with regard to convictions. The policy is a blanket exclusion without any individualized assessment of the nature and gravity of the crimes, the ages of the convictions, or the nature of the claimants' respective positions."
BMW's actions were in violation of the Civic Rights Act of 1964, according to the EEOC, because they utilized "a criminal conviction policy that disproportionately screened out African-Americans." A recent bulletin offering guidance from the EEOC on the Civil Rights Act can be found here, but the EEOC's stance on the issue has been the same for years: "Since issuing its first written policy guidance in the 1980s regarding the use of arrest and conviction records in employment decisions, the EEOC has advised employers that under certain circumstances, their use of that information to deny employment opportunities could be at odds with Title VII."
