My Beautiful 1972 Bmw 2002 With Single Side Draft Weber Setup on 2040-cars

Year:1972 Mileage:141000

I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle. It was restored in the mid 90s and I had paper work of engine rebuild etc. but now I have lost all the papers. Car runs great, no smoke, oil leak, weird sounds or feel anything. It rides smooth and with so much torque at any speed and so the engine should have low miles from the rebuilt. It is hardly being driven in the last 10 years or so. I spent a lot of money recently, redoing a lot of stuff like the radiator, starter, new tires, new brakes, new belts, hoses, new bushings, new plugs, wires, oil change, gaskets etc. etc. Car runs fantastic and looks beautiful I have no problem doing 90 in an instant and highly recommend whoever buys the car to come down and drive it back. Just to have the joy of driving this beauty. I get compliments at every traffic light or stop sign, gas station etc. Sometimes people start screaming when they see the car. It is embarrassing how much people like this car even if they don't know what it is. I think it is the home made roof rack that I made for it.

Since I replaced the carburetor to the single side draft setup with a genuine Made in Italy weber 40 DCOE TIPO and Stahl header for better flow of air, I'm getting excellent fuel mileage. If I drive the car everyday a tank of gas lasts me two weeks but I don't ever drive it daily. I did all the maintenance in anticipation of selling the car here on ebay. I don't want to hear any ifs buts oh well etc. I don't want to hear any complaints! this is a 40+ year old car and it is by no means a show car nor a fully restored car! If you are looking for one of those then please quickly look at another one. That will save you and me a lot of headache! If you are looking for a solid rust free daily driver, fun reliable presentable car then this maybe the car for you. The paint is very presentable but by no means it is show quality. It has it's flaws, like nicks, dings, scratches, touch ups etc. I have no idea how old the paint is and I really don't care. It looks decent if you are not picky. So goes the interior. It is nice but has it's flaws like the dash has a few cracks, seats have a few stains, etc. The car has a moon roof. The car was originally a non-sunroof car. The previous owner did the moon roof and still works like new. No wind noise, no water leaks, no dry gaskets etc.

The car starts and runs everytime. No hesitation, no tuning every few thousand miles, no smell of unburnt gas, no eyes burning, no miss firisng, no over heating in 100 degree Texas heat. Just a joy to drive. It has the stock wheels and 4 speed transmission. The CD player does not work. The car has no rusts I can find, I checked the trunk, shock towers etc. Please look at the pictures and the car looks as nice under as over. The car is not a genuine 2002ti. I don't think they made ti in 72. I think ti were made in the late 60s but I could be wrong. Anyway, this is not a real ti just one with a badge but it has some really cool stuff that you won't find on a standard 2002.

Anyway, I'm an individual and can't provide a warranty with anything. Please do all your research, ask many questions, call me, come drive it whatever but please don't say if, buts, oops after the auction ends if you have won the auction. Again, it is a beautiful looking and driving car that is by no means a show quality car but if you don't mind a car that is fun, reliable and presentable as it sits then this maybe the right car for you. You can fly down and drive it anywhere. I would like 1000 as non refundable deposit through paypal and you can pay the difference when pickup the car or whatever we can work out. Again, all sales are final! Please don't waste my time or yours. I love the car but I'm getting rid of it because I have to. I have clear TX title in my name.

Here is a link to a lot of pictures on photobucket since ebay won't allow more than 24 pictures.

Bunny couldn't out hop a BMW M3 on-track

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

Driving a car is a dangerous hobby, and not just because of other drivers or poor roads. Sometimes, it seems like even the wildlife is out to get you, as evidenced here, here, here, here and here. Now, we can add one more unfortunate car-versus-animal encounter to the tally.
Perhaps believing that this bright orange BMW M3 GTS was a very fast, very loud carrot, an unfortunate bunny leaped into its windshield in a brutal accident at a Polish racetrack. Considering the M3's speed at the time, 89 miles per hour, the passengers are lucky to be okay. Obviously, Bugs didn't make it.
The BMW isn't in such great shape, though. The windshield is in a bit of a state, with safety glass sprayed all over the passenger side of the cabin. There doesn't appear to be any sheetmetal damage, at least from what we can tell from the video. Although there isn't any blood, the hit is really hard. The initial point of impact is at 0:57. Check out the video below.

Six 'shut up and take my money' cars

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."

2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe

Wed, 08 May 2013

Is This A Great Idea For An M Model?
The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is already an issue of large debate. The essential business case for the car is that it's more distinctive than a straight 5 or 6 Series, and has much of the sense of space and luxury of a 7 Series. It has the wheelbase of a 5 Series, the relative width of a 6 Series, and an exterior length close to the standard wheelbase 7 Series. And, as we reported in our drive of the 640i Gran Coupe in May 2012, the 6 Series Gran Coupe costs pretty much the same as the 7 Series, engine trim for engine trim. The sedan (coupe?) is therefore a proposal clearly meant for an extremely particular clientele. There's no news yet on how well exactly the 6 Series Gran Coupe is selling in its chief markets, but we are curious. The Germans frequently tend not to break out their sales figures that way, mixing sales of the Gran Coupe in with the two-door 6 Series.
And, so, we have now arrived at the inevitable point where the M version must be introduced. Say howdy to the $113,000 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe (actually $115,195 for starters with all of the taxes added). That's $4,650 more than the also highly priced M6 coupe. Let the vehement debates begin. The upcoming 2014 Audi RS7 should be priced right at this level as well, and the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG (perhaps with an S iteration in the next allotment we get Stateside) should go for roughly the same.
