Bmw 2002 Tii 1974 2 Doors on 2040-cars
Exeter, New Hampshire, United States
Selling a BMW 2002 Tii 1974 project car requiring restoration,
NOTE: This CAR has CLEAR 2014 Registration from State of NH Vehicle has some rust but is very solid overall and structurally very solid. Car is complete as original and seems to only miss a few trim moldings on the hood front and passenger side surround. This car was was left unused for many years in a non heated storage, while some friendly rodents decided to make home with it, while after cleaning it remains perfumed with "Eau the squirrel"! Remind you this is the desirable Tii Fuel Injected engine with matching numbers on body, vin plate and plate on steering column, it is the real thing! We did not try to start the engine and got it to turn slightly by hand. did not dare start it with a batterie risking to clog the fuel injection. The odometer shows to have 67,607 miles, but we have no way to verify this is the actual mileage. It seems that a new radiator was put on, while it looks good and recent we could note verify if it was still in good condition. The brake and clutch cylinders leaked and are not operating. The car steers and 4 tires hold air and rolls easily See pictures showing the condition, while I tried to show as much as possible where most of the rust was found. The engine bay is in very good shape the batterie holder shows rust so are 2 spots we can see behind the inside front end of the fenders. The trunk is also very solid condition except for the bottom of the spare tire compartment floor has some rust holes and is thin in some areas. the rocker panels on both sides will need replacement and so the front and rear outside corners of the floors are rusted out and will also need replacement or repair. The headliner, carpeting and seat covers will need replacement as well. I put as many pictures I can allowing only 24 for this ad. This car is sold AS IS with no warranty of any kind and no guarantee. Please contact us if you have any questions or need any other pictures to be sent to help make your decision to bid on this car. We will assist the Buyer to the best of our knowledge and capabilities for pick up and shipping. A initial NON REFUNDABLE deposit of $250 will be required 24 hours from the end of the auction, via Paypal, wire transfer or cash. Balance amount due to be paid within 7 days of the end of this auction in cash or wire transfer. We reserve the right to terminate this auction at any time since the vehicle is available locally. BMW X7 rumored to get BMW's best interior, 130,000-euro price
Tue, Mar 24 2015Spanish outlet Motor.es has some info on the coming BMW X7, the sport activity vehicle that will take the Munich brand to the penultimate SUV segment. Unnamed sources said BMW has been working on both the X7 and the future Rolls-Royce all-terrain vehicle for almost two years, and that in BMW guise it will ride on the CLAR (CLuster ARchitecture) platform that will make an appearance later this year under the new 7 Series. The Rolls-Royce, on the other hand, will get its own aluminum spaceframe. The two vehicles will share components, though, which are now being tested. Running gear and engines will borrow from the X5 and X6 tool chests, with rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations mooted and engines ranging from the TwinPower 3.0-liter six-cylinder to an uprated version of the 6.0-liter V12 in the 760iL. The 4.4-liter V8 is mentioned as the middle child and perhaps the base for an X7 M, should one be made. A plug-in hybrid offering could swipe the unit from the X5 xDrive40e PHEV, good for 55MPGe in that current application. The interior, we're told, will be the nicest seen on any BMW, said to surpass that of the new 7 Series. We'll have to wait two years to find out how close all of that is to the mark, but the tidbit that might need some salt sprinkled on it right now is the predicted price: Motor.es says 130,000 euros in Europe, to start. That's not the first time a sky-high price has been predicted, but a leap that far beyond the six-figure mark would readjust all of our expectations for the vehicle when an X5 cost 53,700 euros in France and an X6 costs 70,900 euros. Other outlets predict US pricing to start from around $60,000; the X5 costs $53,900 here, the X6 is $59,600.
Drive like a prince: Join us for a walk through Monaco's car collection
Fri, Dec 29 2023Small, crowded, and a royal pain in the trunk lid to drive into during rush hour, Monaco sounds like an improbable location for a huge car museum. And yet, this tiny city-state has been closely linked to car culture for over a century. It hosts two major racing events every year, many of its residents would qualify for a frequent shopper card if Rolls-Royce issued one, and Prince Rainier III began assembling a collection of cars in the late 1950s. He opened his collection to the public in 1993 and the museum quickly turned into a popular tourist attraction. The collection continued to grow after his death in April 2005; it moved to a new facility located right on Hercules Port in July 2022. Monaco being Monaco, you'd expect to walk into a room full of the latest, shiniest, and most powerful supercars ever to shred a tire. That's not the case: while there is no shortage of high-horsepower machines, the first cars you see after paying ˆ10 (approximately $11) to get in are pre-war models. In that era, the template for the car as we know it in 2023 hadn't been created, so an eclectic assortment of expensive and dauntingly experimental machines roamed whatever roads were available to them. One is the Leyat Helica, which was built in France in 1921 with a 1.2-liter air-cooled flat-twin sourced from the world of aviation. Fittingly, the two-cylinder spun a massive, plane-like propeller. Government vehicles get a special spot in the museum. They range from a Cadillac Series 6700 with an amusing blend of period-correct French-market yellow headlights and massive fins to a 2011 Lexus LS 600h with a custom-made transparent roof panel that was built by Belgian coachbuilder Carat Duchatelet for Prince Albert II's wedding. Here's where it all gets a little weird: you've got a 1952 Austin FX3, a Ghia-bodied 1959 Fiat 500 Jolly, a 1960 BMW Isetta, and a 1971 Lotus Seven. That has to be someone's idea of a perfect four-car garage. One of the most significant cars in the collection lurks in the far corner of the main hall, which is located a level below the entrance. At first glance, it's a kitted-out Renault 4CV with auxiliary lights, a racing number on the front end, and a period-correct registration number issued in the Bouches-du-Rhone department of France. It doesn't look all that different than the later, unmodified 4CV parked right next to it. Here's what's special about it: this is one of the small handful of Type 1063 models built by Renault for competition.
Drifting can be dangerous for spectators, too
Fri, 02 May 2014Okay kids, here's your lesson for the day. When you go to a motorsports event (that isn't a rally), there are these things called walls. They're big and hard. There might be stacks of tires in front of them. There are also these things called barriers, catch fences and run-off areas. They exist to protect you, the spectator, when something inevitably goes wrong on the track.
If you don't have these things, you probably shouldn't be watching whatever four-wheeled mayhem is taking place. This gentleman learned that the hard way, after getting a bit too close while some hoon drifts his BMW 3 Series.
Scroll down for the video, and be warned, while there isn't any blood that we can see, some viewers might find the sight of a human getting punted by a BMW disturbing.
