Antique 1975 Bmw 2002 on 2040-cars
Little Rock, Arkansas, United States
For sale is a 1975 BMW 2002
Not only is this vehicle visually striking and a true classic beauty, it is genuinely thrilling to drive despite its age!
The good: -The body of the vehicle is overall in great condition and has very little rust and no rust on any major, integrity-harming areas. -alternator and starter were replaced in the last 6 months -Kumho tires with less than 6 mos. wear -fuel system has been overhauled and replaced with an electronic fuel pump and freshly lined tank -upgraded 320i radiator -custom transmission fluid cooler -lowered (slightly) on Bilstein suspension -Ireland Engineering front air dam recently installed -rear bumper Euro-conversion -new brake rotors and pads -Recaro driver's seat The not-so-good: -Due to a minor fender-bender, the front nose cone had to be replaced recently, unfortunately the hood still needs to have a dent pulled from that accident and the front end will need a fresh coat of paint. -Interior is clean overall, but currently does not have a center console. I do have a console template of sorts that could be used to make a custom console which would be included in the sale. -odometer is no longer working/does not display accurate mileage I hate parting with this car, but I no longer have the time or resources to give her the TLC she deserves.
Please message for any further questions.

2014 BMW 4 Series
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Because Four Is Greater Than Three
Say what you will about the name 4 Series, there is a method to BMW's madness. On one hand, it's easy enough to just buy into the logic that odd numbers are reserved for sedans and wagons, and that even numbers are reserved for coupes and convertibles. On the other hand, consider the idea that the higher numbers are used to separate the more dynamic, more engaging vehicles that use the same platform. It's that sort of separation that differentiates the 6 Series so nicely from its 5 Series roots, after all. And if we're being cynical, it also allows BMW to charge a bit more money for its lower-volume offerings.
So with the new two-door version of the 3 Series, BMW has gone the route of strengthening the dynamic virtues of its F30 chassis to create a car that's more removed from its sedan kin than one might think. And after spending some time with the new 4 Series on the roads around Lisbon, Portugal, as well as the famous Circuito do Estoril racetrack, it's increasingly clear that calling this car a 3 Series Coupe simply wouldn't be fair.
BMW i3 takes to the track, circles it in a way you don't expect
Sun, Jan 5 2014So, who wants to see a BMW i3 race around a track. That's what we thought. It's not a long video, but it is entertaining, and the way the urban EV does a 'loop' at second 25 certainly caught out eye. The i3 is scheduled to go on sale in the US later this year and will start at $41,350. The diminutive electric vehicle has a top speed of 93 miles per hour and can hit 62 mph in 7.2 seconds. We found it a hoot to drive, but we're not sure if hardcore BMW performance fans will totally 'get' this car's performance. The i3 is great at what it does, but it wasn't born to hit the race track. After seeing this video, though, we want a crack at it, skinny wheels and all. You can get a behind-the-scenes glimpse here, where Chris Neff writes, "The i3 basically turns in on itself. This is one sharp turning radius, take a look at 24 seconds into the video. We were actually trying to get the i3 to do doughnuts, but the computer would not let the rear brake loose, still, you can see how it held and how sharp we were turning....about 27 times in a row." Watch all 49 seconds below. And wonder with us if whatever aerial device was used to get the shot that ends at four seconds in was destroyed just after the video cuts away.
