I have a 1976 BMW 2002 with an M42 swap from an E36 with the 5 speed. The engine had 120k and was refreshed before being put in, but it leaks a very small amount of oil. It has about 2400 miles since the swap was done. The previous owner was setting it up for ice racing, and I've been trying to make it a daily driver. It has a very rare limited slip diff in the rear which was over $500, which is also rebuilt. Upgraded Volvo big brakes in the front. Shocks are all new within the last year, and it has an E30 M3 front sway bar. Previous owner also swapped out the square tail lights with the older "roundie" style, and I will be finishing it if it doesn't sell. I have a quart of paint matched to go with the car. It has a stripped interior with a roll cage and jet harnesses. Brand new speed hut gauges. Battery relocated to the trunk. All new exhaust system except for header and tip. Needs some floor pan work but the rest of the body isn't bad comparing it to every other non restored 2002 out there. It's a 10 footer. The turn signal switch is broken, which is a common issue with 2002's. It has brand new tires on steelies now. It has 1" spacers on all four corners because the 13" wheels don't fit over the big brakes in the front. These are getting harder and harder to find, especially in driving condition! It also has street legal headlights on it now, along with all brand new bulbs in the rear. Bid with confidence! I don't need to sell.

BMW hires Ferrari chief engineer Fedeli
Wed, 08 Oct 2014There's going to be a little bit more Prancing Horse in some future BMWs because the Bavarian brand is hiring Ferrari chief engineer Roberto Fedeli to join the company in November. Fedeli's new position is still somewhat of a mystery though, and he reportedly might be lending his talents to the high performance M division or possibly even Rolls-Royce. When asked by Automotive News Europe, BMW said that it "currently can't say what his role will be."
Regardless of his new job, Fedeli was a big get for BMW because of his strong résumé. He has been with Ferrari since 1988 and led the engineering for the famous Italian automaker's vehicles since 2007. Fedeli tendered his resignation in September at around the same time that chairman Luca di Montezemolo announced his decision to leave the company. However, Ferrari told ANE that there was no connection between the two events.
BMW i8 pitted against M4 in sibling rivalry track battle
Wed, Jan 7 2015We recently watched Auto Bild challenge the BMW i8 against the M4 in a German drag race of decide the quicker of the inter-brand rivals. The hybrid took a commanding victory in that fight. However, Autocar now has a new battle for the two coupes. The siblings are together again on the Castle Combe Circuit to find out which of them offers the more enjoyable experience at the track. Unfortunately, we don't ever get a perfect point of comparison in the video because host Steve Sutcliffe never does a full lap in anger with either of them to set a time. Instead, he focuses more on how the BMWs feel behind the wheel. Sutcliffe also admits midway through the clip that the i8's electric motor is out of juice to power the front axle's electric motor. That only leaves the hybrid with its 228-horsepower and 236-pound-feet-of-torque turbocharged three-cylinder to spin the rear wheels. Still, Sutcliffe spends ample time explaining the benefits and downfalls of driving these coupes. See where his opinion falls between the M4 as the traditional German sports coupe and the i8 as the new-school hybrid in the video, above.
2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo has the biggest price discount in America
Thu, Apr 9 2020Right now, buyers of the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo are paying an average of $248,000 to drive the brand-new supercar off the dealer lot. That's a hefty chunk of change, but it represents $16,269 off the car's average $264,969 retail price, according to data provided to Autoblog by Truecar. That's the largest discount in America on a new vehicle for the month of April, 2020 when judged by the dollar amount in savings off the sticker. It's not all that uncommon to see a lot of money taken off the sticker price of expensive luxury cars. This month, right behind the Lamborghini sits the 2019 BMW 8 Series with a few bucks shy of $11,000 in savings, which is hardly surprising. Though it's a very sleek and entertaining car in some of its various incarnations, it hasn't exactly proven to be a hot seller for the German automaker. The fact that there are a total of 15 (!) possible configurations probably doesn't help. Two other BMWs, the 2020 7 Series ($10,164 in savings) and the 2019 i8 ($10,145) are also on the top 10 biggest discounts list. In between that BMW sandwich are the 2019 and 2020 editions of the Acura NSX. It doesn't really matter which one a buyer chooses to drive off the lot, either way lopping off more than $10,000 off the sticker price means the electrified supercar will cost just under $150k.
