This 1976 BMW 2002 has undergone a complete restoration in 2007 and is holding up very well. We have a lot of documentation to go along with the car including $9,000 in receipts(though a lot more money was spent as there are notes included, but no receipts for, a lot of work that was done.). The interior is in excellent condition with Recaro bucket seats that were upholstered to match so it all looks factory. There is one small repair on the passenger seat bottom. The steering wheel has been upgraded to a Nardi wheel and the original is included and in excellent condition. Before the all new interior was installed the entire interior, including inside the doors, was lined with Dynamat for sound and temperature insulation. There is absolutely no rust on the car and all of the key areas to look for on these 2002's are perfect, ie. shock towers and spare tire well. The spare tire well has some light surface rust only as the paint under the hood and in the trunk is the original paint. The outside of the car was painted while the engine compartment and trunk area still wear the original paint which is a testimate to how good the car was to start. The outside paint is starting to show it's age a little from close inspection and still looks excellent from 5 feet. The engine runs perfect and has been upgraded with a Weber carburetor and the transmission shifts flawlessly and has been upgraded to a 5 speed. This car has also been upgraded with BBS wheels. This car is in excellent condition inside and out, runs and drives great, has lots of documentation for the work performed, and will give it's next owner years of fun and enjoyment. Inspections are welcomed and encouraged. Please call Mark Murray or John King at 206-227-0471 or 206-818-2297 for an appointment, additional questions, or more pictures. Thank you.

Consumer Reports' first motorcycle reliability report finds Japanese brands ahead
Sat, 22 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has released its first ever study of motorcycle reliability, and students of its ratings on cars might notice a suspicious similarity - Japanese brands require fewer repairs than the leading American or German brands.
The study analyzed the reliability of 4,680 bikes owned by CR subscribers and found that Yamaha had the best ratings, with just one in ten bikes built between 2009 and 2012 requiring a repair over a four-year period. The makers of the R1 and R6 sport bikes were closely followed by Kawasaki and Honda, while one out of every four of the rumbling bikes from Harley-Davidson experienced an issue. BMW had the worst rating of the brands represented, with one in three bikes having problems.
According to CR, neither Suzuki nor Triumph owners provided enough information for a reliable rating. Based on the responses received, though, Suzuki would have finished with the other Japanese brands and Triumph, being English, would have been one of the less reliable makes.
BMW launches new M Performance accessories for M5, M6
Wed, 16 Oct 2013Those looking to make their stock BMW look like an M model might be interested in an M Sport package. But those who already drive an M model and want that extra bit of attitude to take it over the top look towards the M Performance Accessories catalog, to which BMW has just added a new range of add-ons for the M5 and M6.
The new range of accessories include a titanium exhaust from Akrapovic that's 22 pounds lighter and an extra bit throatier than the stock unit. BMW's also offering a carbon-ceramic brake kit and 20-inch alloys to accommodate them, as well as a carbon aero kit, carbon interior trim and those trademark stripes for the truly extroverted BMW performance enthusiast.
You can check them out in the gallery above and the press release below to see what Martin Tomzczk, the DTM driver sponsored by BMW M Performance Accessories, chose for his matte black M6 Gran Coupe daily driver.
EVO takes flight in BMW's sultry i8
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Electric cars and hybrids are here to stay, much to the apparent dismay of some auto enthusiasts, but that doesn't mean they have to represent the death of enjoyable driving. Granted, the initial run of hybrids in the US like the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius weren't exactly tailor-made for aggressive folks behind the wheel, but things are clearly changing. In its latest video, Evo takes a look at three examples from Europe's new crop of electrified vehicles to show that the future of fun motoring is safe and sound.
Evo editor Henry Catchpole kicks things off with one of the most bizarre EVs of the bunch, the tiny Renault Twizy. Its low power and 50-mile-per-hour top speed might make it miles away from a hot hatch, but there's still fun to be had in extracting the most from this little city car. Next up is the Audi A3 E-Tron, which isn't technically available yet. It's a step in the right direction of eventually creating an affordable, fun-to-drive hybrid hot hatch.
However, the main event is Catchpole getting some seat time in the BMW i8. The Bimmer can really fly -literally in this case - and the butterfly-door coupe offers a clear look at the prospects for electrified sports cars. It might not have the power of hybrid supercar contemporaries like the LaFerrari or Porsche 918 Spyder, but the BMW doesn't cost nearly as much, either. See? Improved efficiency doesn't have to mean boring.
