1975 BMW 2002 This car is a nice, well sorted, BMW that I have owned for 7 years. It has been serviced and looked after by the local BMW dealer and given anything it needed. I have records of all repairs and maintenance since I have owned it and some old paperwork I got from the pervious owner. This car was painted prior to my ownership, a color change from Sahara (beige) to Malaga (maroon) and I believe it to be about 12 years old. This car looks very nice, with no rust issues that I am aware of and only minor imperfections due to it's age. This car was originally an automatic but now has a 4 speed manual transmission which was done prior to my ownership. This car also has air conditioning which appears to be dealer installed back in the day. This car is being replaced by a fully restored 1973 2002tii which I was lucky enough to come across, otherwise I would have kept the 1975 2002 for a long term ownership and it was take care of accordingly. This car is for sale locally so seller has the right to end the auction early. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. Payment will be in cash when picked up or wire transfer. The title is clear and free of any liens. We encourage anyone interested to come by and look at this car. You will be pleasantly surprised! Any questions about this car, please ask. |

Airbag recall widens to include BMW, Chrysler, Ford and Toyota
Mon, 23 Jun 2014The recall of faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata has exploded today to grow to seven automakers. In most cases, only models in certain high-humidity regions were affected because the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found in its investigation that moisture played a roll in determining whether there would be a problem. However, some companies opted for national campaigns. The exact number of affected models for these campaigns isn't yet known at this time.
BMW is recalling an undisclosed number of 325i, 325Xi, 330i and 330Xi models from the 2001 through 2005 model years and the 2001-2006 model year versions of the 325Ci and 330Ci for the driver side and passenger side inflators. Only vehicles currently registered in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands are covered under this recall.
Neither Chrysler's filing with NHTSA nor its press release list the specific models affected, but a company spokesperson told Autoblog that at this time it only covers the driver and passenger side inflators for the 2006 Dodge Charger in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands
This BMW 2 Series ad has run afoul of Aussie ad watchdogs [w/poll]
Tue, 29 Apr 2014A complaint by an Australian movie-goer has put the brakes on an extended in-theater ad campaign by BMW, and drawn the attention of the country's Advertising Standards Board. According to the anonymous complaint, the ad "portrays an unfavorable message, contrary to safe and sensible driving."
The ASB upheld the complaint, which said the ad for the new M235i showed driving "typical of hoon activity," thanks to the burnouts, dusty drifts and runs up to redline. It's that last one that seems to have gotten the spot in the most trouble, with the ASB acknowledging that even though the car wasn't shown breaking the speed limit, the ad was in violation of a voluntary code of conduct for automotive advertising, according to Australia's Go Auto.
BMW doesn't seem to agree, pointing out that the ad uses creative editing, aggressive camera angles and other filming tricks to "add visual impact."
2015 BMW X4 is a budget X6
Wed, 16 Apr 2014We won't argue that crossovers are hugely successful vehicles, with automakers working to provide functional CUVs in a wide range of sizes. But over at BMW, things are just getting out of hand, as evidenced by this new X4 "Sports Activity Coupe" that debuts here at the 2014 New York Auto Show.
BMW is seeing fit to offer vehicles in even the most niche of niches, and the X4 is no exception. Want proof? Have a look at the X4, and the compare it to the X3, the 3 Series Gran Turismo, the 3 Series Sport Wagon, and the 4 Series Gran Coupe. Aside from marginal differences in things like ground clearance and the exact slope of the hatchback, what, exactly, is the difference?
Like the other models we just mentioned, the X4 is powered by either a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 240 horsepower or a more powerful, 3.0-liter turbo-six with 300 horsepower, and unsurprisingly, power is sent to the ground exclusively via the company's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. An eight-speed automatic transmission is the sole gearbox available with either engine. All sounds very familiar, right?
