Hello everyone,

The 128i is a SGM(Sparkling Graphite Metallic)only year with this paint! Auto, M-sport(rare for this year), Nav, heated and sport seats ,sport steering wheel with paddles, rear parking aids. Mileage is approx. 46k. The car has the usual rock chips, and minor scratches on front bumper, and on drivers C-pillar. The car fax shows 1 accident(rear hit, only rear bumper looks to be painted) title is NOT SALVAGE, it does have a lien with my credit union.

The car runs great and I made sure it does, BMW Bayside and Rallye BMW took care of all issues I had after purchasing the vehicle. I always use Tier 1 gas which is recommended by BMW and a few vehicle manufacturers.

The following items have been completed:

-Updated insulation behind dash for cracking sound performed by BMW Bayside.
-4 brand new tires, I believe about 6-7k on these. Pirelli Cinturato P7 Run Flats.
-Wheel alignment performed at Rallye BMW.
-Oil change performed at Rallye BMW
-Replaced RR tail light for condensation at Rallye BMW.
-Replaced center mounted brake light at Rallye BMW.
-Fuel injection service completed at Rallye BMW.
-New Fram air filter installed by myself.
-Updated DME software at Rallye BMW.
-updated lifters from BMW Bayside for infamous ticking sound.
-fixed exhaust hanger mount for some noise that was occurring, performed at Rallye BMW.

Here is the list of options:

As stated before I took care of this care and it gave us no issues, to most people even my wife she didn't notice any of the above. But I wanted it to be perfect for her so I got all the stuff done.  Will ship at buyers expense. Cash, certified bank checks only.

For the new owner, I will have the car wash and waxed and will change the oil with authentic BMW parts and Castol ll01 oil

Please note the following:

There is a current lien on my title through my credit union. Once I receive funds, I will make out a bill of sale and have both parties on it. I should have the paperwork to state the lien is clear within a day or 2 of payment. If it is cash I should have it immediately.

Car is being sold AS-IS with no warranty.

I have the right to end the auction early if the vehicle sales locally or if the vehicle is no longer unavailable.

Thanks for looking!

2014 BMW 535d xDrive

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

I absolutely love to travel, but man, do I hate flying. Not the act of flying itself, but air travel in general - slogging through the airport, dealing with security, fighting with delays, only to finally be crammed like cattle into a too-small airplane seat where you're offered $8 sandwiches that are half-frozen. (Okay, it's not always that bad, but still.)
So when I was tasked with attending the launch for the 2015 Subaru WRX STI in Carmel, CA, I had a choice to make. I could fly into San Francisco and find my own way down to Carmel, or I could grab a turbo-prop out of SFO and fly directly into Monterey. And since you're reading about all of this in a car review, it's pretty obvious which option I chose.
The current BMW 5 Series isn't a new car, despite receiving a couple of updates for the 2014 model year. But what is new is the 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline six-cylinder engine found underhood, borrowed from the larger X5 xDrive35d and also seen in the upcoming 740Ld xDrive. It's a honey of an engine, and here in the 5 Series, it makes for a truly first-class experience.

BMW Z8, Lambo LM002 sell for $192,500 apiece in Detroit [w/poll]

Wed, Jul 29 2015

Think a car are a bad investment? That all depends on what kind of car you're talking about. Because while most cars depreciate in value as soon as you drive them off the lot, others can do even better than hold their value. The cars that appreciate tend to be pretty high-end exotics, but they don't have to be multi-million-dollar classics to command a premium at auction. Just look at the results from RM Sotheby's Motor City sale in Detroit this past weekend. The auction house moved a solid $7.4 million worth of metal, which is pretty impressive when you consider that – unlike events at Lake Como or Pebble Beach – not one of the lots dipped into seven figures. 1930s-era American classics performed the strongest, with Duesenbergs, Packards, Auburns and the like all fetching hundreds of thousands. But what intrigued us most were the European exotics that rounded the top ten results. Amidst the Depression-era American steel were a BMW Z8 from 2001 and a 1988 Lamborghini LM002, each of which sold for an equal $192,500. Hardly the highest figures paid for European exotics this year, but considering how much they were worth just a few years ago, they've proven solid investments. BMW only made 5,703 examples of the Henrik Fisker-designed retro Z8, of which only 2,543 were brought to the United States, where they originally sold for $128,000. The most anyone had ever paid for one at auction, according to Sports Car Market, was $184,082, just this past March at Silverstone. That makes the price achieved this weekend a new record for one of the slinkiest vehicles the Bavarian automaker has ever made, representing an impressive 50-percent increase in value over the course of fourteen years. This particular example – chassis WBAEJ13481AH60437 for those keeping track – is decked out in silver over black, with less than 15,500 miles on the odometer. This Rambo Lambo was produced early in the 301-unit production run, with the sought-after carbureted engine and 32,000 miles on the clock. It didn't set any records at the same price, other examples of the LM002 having traded over the past few years for over $200k. But considering that Sant'Agata originally charged around $120-130k for the SUV when it was new, its selling price still represents about 50-percent appreciation (leaving inflation aside).
