You are looking for the nicest, best kept, best maintained Audi TT Quattro Roadster you can find.  You are here because the quality found in your neck of the woods, by even the lowest standards, is a joke.  I know exactly how you feel.  I attend specialty and dealer-only auctions every week searching for the best of the best in what me and my assistant (Foy) like to call "niche autos."  I scan lists of over 3,000 vehicles locally each week and select cars I've come to know are hard to find and that fit my business model of marketing exclusively on eBay.  All-wheel-drive Audis make it onto my own list every time they show up and a very small number, maybe 2 or 3 a month, will appear at one of the three major auctions here in the Las Vegas area or perhaps in a local classified.  During the past seven years I've seen at least 20-30 TTs every single year and what that means for you is; I have looked at, touched and smelled a lot of Audi TTs.  This TT is one of just a handful nice enough for this business model and the very first with mileage this low.  I am extremely picky about what to buy.  Past ownership, service history and condition, condition, condition are what matters.  High end luxury vehicles are not always treated well, but a precious few are taken care of.  This particular Audi is one of those rare finds and you will not want to pass it up.  Original and beautiful paint, spectacular interior, extensive service history and an absolute knock-out to see in person.  As good as my pictures are, they can't possibly show how truly beautiful this car really is.  What else could you want?  A great deal?  I have that covered too but you will not be purchasing this fine automobile for wholesale or even low book value.  You already know you get what you pay for and if you want unmatched quality, service, care and condition, this TT is a super rare find.  Read what Foy has to say about his time driving this Audi and study its maintenance history. Here is my new daily driver and friends and neighbors, I am in loooove, love love with this little red 2-seater.  First up, the facts: 2001 Audi TT Roadster Quattro with two previous owners (both in Nevada; Lake Tahoe then Las Vegas) and a very low 47,461 miles.  As you can see in the provenance below, this gorgeous car has been faithfully serviced at Audi dealerships since day one and throughout its life.  Careful ownership shows with a laser straight body, spectacular paint and functional near perfection.  Obviously no 13 year old car is flawless but I struggle to find another worthy description.  On the way to the grocery store (with the top down) my wife could hardly believe when I told her it was a 2001.  "Unbelievable," she said, "put the top down."  As you wish, dearheart . . .

At night, the dazzling ice white xenon headlights are an up-market reminder that this is a high-end German performance cruise missile.  Quattro all-wheel-drive gives the TT incredible handling and provides peace of mind in conditions like snow packed roads.  Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) sends power to the wheels with the most traction and provides an extra measure of security for this stunning convertible . . .

I cannot tell you how addicted I've become to spooling up the turbo at about 2,500 RPM and zinging through first, second and third gear.  The 6-speed manual transmission snicks with satisfying precision and the clutch/shift interface becomes second nature after just a few miles.  It has turned my morning work commute into something I actually look forward to.  This is an easy car to feel competent in . . .

0 to fun in 8-seconds flat.

 

Turn one handle and a single button push lowers the fabric top in about 8-seconds.  A semi-hard boot can be installed and locks firmly in place.  Also, check out the panel seams; consistent and tight because of no accidents and no hits . . .

Yes, they're real.

 

The brushed aluminum hoops are functional roll bars, besides looking absolutely fantastic.  Go ahead, it's okay to touch . . .

Rear spoiler, twin exhaust and really cool tail lights,  flush with the body.  I like it . . .

 

Audi likes to keep exterior decorations to a minimum, letting the body work-of-art speak for itself . . .

Looks good, topless, or not.

 

The TT is among the very few convertibles that looks sharp even with its soft top up.  The glass rear window has electric defrost and the top is snug fitting and taut . . .

Fast.  Gets good mileage.

 

I didn't expect a car that accelerates like this to get such great fuel mileage.  EPA rated 20 in the city/28 on the highway, I'm actually getting close 30 MPG on my daily 20-mile journey to work.  Environmentally responsible and wicked pleasure too?  How often does that happen . . .

I want it.

 

Unlike just about every vehicle you've ever owned and probably any in the future too, this 2001 Audi TT Roadster Quattro will be just as invigorating the day you sell it, as it was the day the keys were first dropped into your hand.  Fun never gets old and real fun is youth - at any age.  That's basically what I'm left with after living with this wonderful car a few days.  Life is life and it hasn't made my problems disappear but this little red Audi is Xanax for the soul.  Whatever the mood and however challenging things are, everything looks better from behind the wheel of a powerful convertible.  This powerful convertible has been loved and taken care of its entire life and has the documentation to prove it.  The body is exquisite, the paint gorgeous and the interior looks like new.  During my time with the car it has been a functional gem and I haven't yet found a single thing that does not work. (except the glove box latch)  Love, love, love this car and with 47,000 miles, somebody is going to score one hell of an awesome Audi . . .

Wind deflector.

 

Another thing that totally rocks about this car is its power glass wind deflector.  Too many expensive convertibles (Boxster, for example) have a Plexiglas type wind blocker that snaps in place manually, or a fussy aftermarket unit that doesn't fit at all and ends up scratched, unused and a chew toy for Fido . . .

 

With the deflector up, wind buffeting is significantly reduced and it is barely noticeable.  At the touch of a button you can power the window down, completely out of sight.  Can you see it there on the right?  Didn't think so . . .

 Killer cabin and room for big folk.

 

When my boss (Doug, the guy you should be calling about this car 702-353-7500) told me to take this TT, he said that if it was too tight a fit don't worry about it.  I'm 6'5' and (ahem) not thin so, his concerns were valid I suppose.  Truth is I fit just fine, in no small part due to a multi-adjustable seat and a tilt/telescopic steering wheel.  More important perhaps is, I want to be in here.  I kind of wish the accelerator was a little further to the right but it does make heel-and-toe throttle blips Indy-Car easy.  Shifter and steering wheel placement are near perfect and it has a great dead pedal.  The low miles of course, means everything seems practically new and my wife thinks it even smells . . .

Praise be to the seats.

 

Can't say enough about these unbelievable seats and they are probably the best manual (or power for that matter) perches I've ever experienced.  I bring home a lot of different cars and this TT is the first time my wife has commented about how much better her back feels while riding in this car.  On an almost warm evening the other night, she also liked having her seat heater on with the top down - an important plus for a convertible that never occurred to me before.

I am a “used car dealer” but before that, I’m an automobile enthusiast.  I love original rare and high quality modified vintage cars and over the past decade I’ve been in business, have come to appreciate an expanding selection of high-demand, high value vehicles.  I specialize in and am always on the lookout for cars and trucks that were cherished by their previous owners.  I have an experienced eye for quality but I’ve discovered that my preferred buyer can instantly discern such a vehicle and I have therefore, built my business and reputation around finding these kinds of cars for this type of customer.  Super low miles and/or gentle ownership are strict requirements but a car must do something for me on a personal level if there is any hope of convincing you, the bidder, that this is an above average, exceptional vehicle.  If nothing about the car excites me, it probably won’t do much for you either and I would soon be out of business.

With just four employees and no sales people, I realize how unusual a “dealership” like mine may at first glance appear.  It has taken great care and effort to create such an organization and often, an unusually high investment in a particular car we are about to list.  To sell the best it is critical to have a trusted expert in my corner and Chris, owner of A-Best Auto Repair in Henderson, Nevada has my back.  He and his crew can fix anything; from a low budget beater to the absolute most expensive exotic you can name, no job is too big and no small detail unimportant.  They do an exhaustive 130 point inspection on each and every vehicle and nothing escapes their methodical investigation.  Experience has shown that everything I spend making a car truly “right” will come back to me not only with a higher selling price, but a happy customer that says good things about me.  Moreover; it allows my writer to describe the car with ease and confidence, something that simply is not possible unless he thinks it is true.  If major issues are found or the cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too expensive to sell, my choice is an easy one.  I simply absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it at auction.

After the vehicle is fully sorted it arrives at our facility where it encounters the suspicious eye of Tom, my writer that creates the presentations you see on eBay.  He believes absolutely nothing I or anyone else tells him about the car as he combs over every inch, researches its history and documents originality and authenticity.  Historical significance, rarity, special features, possible modifications and much more are used to accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty.  Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 150 high resolution pictures that I take myself.  The pricey equipment I use would be right at home in the hands of the very best professional photographers and I’ve developed a logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with close-up shots of every square inch.  I provide detailed views of the interior, under the hood and then put it on a lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep.  Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they so meticulously clean.  This reconditioning can sometimes take several days and I’ve converted a paint booth, especially prepared for the professional clay bar and polishing each car lovingly receives.

Usually, I’ll also include a high definition video that shows the car doing its thing.  If it’s a fast car, we film it going fast.  If it’s a 4x4 you’ll see it crawling up a hill.  In every case you will hear things like a rumbling exhaust, working sound system and watch the temperature fall on a digital, laser thermometer pointed at an air conditioning vent.  How many “dealers” will video a Lotus Esprit doing a buck-eighty?  We do.

Audi A3 outselling Mercedes CLA 2 to 1 in its first 3 months on sale

The Audi A3 is on fire in US showrooms. Not literally of course, that would be horrible, and the situation we're referring to is a good thing indeed, as the Four Rings has a serious hit on its hands with the compact luxury sedan. Looking at just its first three months on the market, the entry-level model is outselling the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class by nearly two to one.
The CLA was one of the hottest new cars of last year. Mercedes even called it the company's best launch in 20 years, but it sees as if that early sales performance has not been sustainable. According to Bloomberg, the CLA has seen its sales drop year-over-year in seven of the last eight months, and the new A3 came at just the right time to fill that void.
In June, Mercedes shifted 1,658 CLAs in the US, compared to 2,452 for the A3. The Merc has sold more units so far this year but only because the Audi sedan has only been on sale for three full months. With the two cars being relatively comparable as compact, front-wheel-drive, German luxury sedans, it appears buyers prefer the Four Rings over the Mercedes star, so far at least.

166 MPGe diesel-electric Audi Q7 E-Tron Quattro gets real in Geneva

Despite some warnings that plug-in vehicles would not make a big impression in Geneva this year, the first big reveals from the Peace Capital are indeed PHEVs. For example, the diesel-electric Audi Q7 E-Tron Quattro, which right out of the gate comes at us with some impressive numbers: an all-electric range of 34 miles and the "potential" to hit 166 miles per gallon equivalent. Whatever scale Audi is rating the new Q7 PHEV on, 166 MPGe is a resounding success. As we might guess from the prototypes we've seen and hints we've had, the Q7 E-Tron Quattro is not some auto salon fantasy. The vehicle will go on sale at the end of this year, in the UK, at least. Availability in the rest of Europe and here in the US is likely but unspecified in the press materials we've seen so far. The real-world reality of the Q7 E-Tron Quattro means that specs like a 0-100 kilometers an hour (62 miles per hour) time of six seconds and a top speed of 225 kmh (139.8 mph), CO2 emissions of under 50 grams per kilometer and a total system torque output of 516.3 pound-feet should be ours to test in the not-too-distant future. This whole E-Tron program is turning out to be quite something. Who else is ready?
