Awesome 2008 Audi Tt 3.2l 6-spd Manual Coupe on 2040-cars
Pennington, New Jersey, United States
AWESOME 2008 AUDI TT 3.2L COUPE 6-SPEED MANUAL! I purchased this car new in August of 2007 from Flemington Audi in Flemington, NJ and it is in beautiful condition. It has always been kept in a garage, always filled with name-brand gas, always dealer-serviced and nobody has ever smoked while riding in it. It has never been in an accident of any kind. Its exterior color is “Brilliant Black” with dark grey leather/Alcantara interior. You can pick through the equipment list (see the picture of the window sticker) but here are some highlights:
Current mileage (as of 11/15/2013) is 88,931 miles. VIN # TRUDD38J681011195 Why am I selling it? Because I am a manual transmission fanatic. If I wait another couple of years before buying my next car, there may be no more manuals left. As it is, I could no longer replace this car with a new manual TT. (The ONLY manuals left in the US Audi line are the base level A4, the R8, and the S4. And yes I am replacing this car with a new S4. You might have noticed that I have become a pretty big Audi fan). Here’s what works on this car: Everything!! Here’s what you should know is not perfect:
Repairs that have been done on this car:
I am a straight-shooter, and you can bid with confidence. I have bought and sold on EBay many times over the years (including a couple of cars) and I have never received any real negative feedback whatsoever. (I once received “negative feedback” for not posting feedback on an item that I bought, but EBay does not allow that kind of nonsense any longer.) I will require cash or a bank cashier’s check and ID at pickup. I require a deposit of $1,500 by cash, bank cashier’s check, or Paypal within 48 hours after the auction closes. You must pay the balance and pick up the car within 7 days after the auction closes. The “sunset” pics may be a bit over the top, but I had fun taking them and thought you might enjoy seeing them too! The TT must be picked up in person in Pennington, NJ. You will have to bring plates to drive it home. When you come to pick up the car, I will be happy to go with you for a drive on a variety of nearby roads. If this drive shows up any mechanical problems, I will return your deposit and you will be under no obligation to buy the car. Other than this caveat, however: If you are the winning bidder on this car, you are legally obligated to follow through on the purchase! MY RESERVE PRICE IS $18,450 ON THIS CAR. I AM NOT WILLING TO TAKE ANY LESS FOR THIS CAR. SURE, IF NOBODY WILL PAY THAT PRICE AFTER ANOTHER LISTING OR TWO, I WILL LOWER THE PRICE, BUT I BELIEVE THIS IS A FAIR PRICE FOR A MANUAL TT IN THIS CONDITION. If you have any questions, please email me. Good luck on your bidding. Carl |

Road & Track names its 2013 Performance Car of the Year
Thu, 14 Nov 2013Road & Track recently staged its first annual Performance Car of the Year test, pitting 13 new and updated performance cars against each other on track, then graduating the top six to a road test before picking a winner. Additionally, the magazine staff picked the best automobiles of the year in eight categories.
But first, let's cover the PCotY segment. Here's the list of cars brought to the comparison test: Audi R8 V10 Plus; BMW 435i; BMW M6 Competition Package; Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51; Ferrari F12 Berlinetta; Ford Fiesta ST; Jaguar F-Type V8 S; Jaguar XFR-S; Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model Wagon; Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series; Mini John Cooper Works GP; Nissan GT-R Track Edition; and Porsche Cayman S.
To find out the results of the comparison, head over to Road & Track's website or check the press release below, where you'll also find the magazine's top-rated vehicles in eight categories. Want more? Head over to the 2013 PCotY hub. But before you do that, take a stab at guessing the winner of PCotY (we'll give you one hint: it isn't a Porsche).
2014 Audi RS7 priced from $104,900* in the US [w/video]
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Audi has officially priced the svelte 2014 RS7 from $104,900 (*not including $825 for destination), undercutting its sole competitor, the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, by $8100. Even when we're talking about six-figure super sedans, that's not a small amount of money. And soon, this class of sleek stormers will be joined by the updated Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG 4Matic.
With its combination of a twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter, 560-horsepower V8 engine and Audi's excellent Quattro all-wheel drive, the RS7 is expected to hit 60 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds, 0.4 seconds faster than the manufacturer estimate for the M6 Gran Coupe.
We've already given the RS7 a thorough shakedown in Europe, and we came away quite impressed with just how stunning this Audi is, both to drive and to look at. Now that we've got a price to go along with the performance and style, this Audi is even more appealing - in our high-dollar dreams, anyway. Take a look at a short video from Audi, as well as the official press blast, below.
Ford GT dominates Le Mans qualifying, gets slapped with performance adjustment
Fri, Jun 17 2016Fifty years after Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon drove the Ford GT40 to victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ford is poised for a historic return to the Circuit de la Sarthe. The new Ford GT took the top two qualifying positions in the LMGTE Pro class, and four of the top five. Ferrari's 488 filled in the rest of the spots in the top seven, the first two from AF Corse. In other words, we're primed for a reboot of the classic Ford-Ferrari feud at this year's race. Or not, as the ACO, which organizes the 24 Hours of Le Mans, announced sweeping pre-race Balance of Performance (BOP) adjustments this morning that make this year's GT class anybody's race. In LMP1, last year's overall winner Porsche locked up the top two spots with the 919 Hybrid and will lead the entire field at race start. Toyota's two-car factory effort followed with qualifying times 1.004 and 2.170 seconds behind the pole lap. Audi rounds out the manufacturer-backed LMP1 class in fifth and sixth. Full qualifying results can be found here. The storyline for the GT cars is perfect - some say too perfect. Ford's class-leading times came after BOP adjustment to the Corvette Racing C7.R before qualifying. BOP is intended to level the playing field in the class by adjusting power, ballast, and fuel capacity. (Check out this explainer video for more, or even just if you love French accents.) But the process is riddled with unknowns and ripe for accusations of sandbagging. That is, if the Ford cars were intentionally slow in practice they could hope for BOP adjustment to improve their race chances. On the Corvette side, last year's GTE Pro winner went from the top of the field to the bottom, barely improving from practice to qualifying. If you think Le Mans is as rigged at the NBA Playoffs, well, it's not that simple. Because if Ford and Ferrari held back until qualifying - the eighth-place Porsche 911 RSR is three-and-a-half seconds off the class pole time - it was a pretty dumb strategy. This morning, the ACO tried to put things back in order by limiting the boost in the Ford GT's twin-turbo V6 and adding 11 pounds of ballast. Ferrari was also given extra weight but allowed more fuel capacity. The Corvette and Aston Martin teams were both given breaks on their air restrictors, which will allow their engines to make more power. Both Ford and Porsche also received extra fuel capacity.
