Did the new Audi R8 just get outed on Instagram?

While we can't confirm it officially, what you're looking at above, according to Instagram user dreboog (Dre Boogie), may indeed be the next Audi R8. We're expecting Audi's revised supercar to get its official debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, which would makes the timing of this leak make sense. You can compare this image with the spy shots we've already seen and draw your own conclusions, but it looks about right to our eyes. There are a few interesting tidbits worth noting, the most immediately obvious being the lack of the so-called side blades that were a polarizing styling element with the first Audi R8 first hit the scene but which have since become part of the coupe's signature look. We also see a front fascia that brings the low-slung coupe more in line with the German brand's current design ethos. Besides those readily apparent cues, there's not much to glean from this Instagram leak. We'd certainly expect more power from Audi's halo car, but just how much more than the 430 horsepower offered by the current V8, 525 hp from the V10 or 550 hp from the V10 Plus, we look forward to finding out. Lamborghini agrees to produce Urus in Italy

The Lamborghini Urus is apparently on the way, and it looks like it will be built in Italy. The news comes from Bloomberg, which claims Lambo CEO Stephan Winkelmann and Audi CEO Rupert Stadler will be joined by Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi on Wednesday to announce a series of tax breaks to bring SUV production to Italy. The report cites multiple "people familiar with the matter." The details of the deal include up to 500 new jobs in exchange for $87 million in tax breaks along with "other benefits," according to Bloomberg. Just over a year ago, it was looking like Urus production was headed for Slovakia, where it'd be built alongside its MLB platform-mates, the Audi Q7, Volkswagen Touareg, and Porsche Cayenne. Audi A3 outselling Mercedes CLA 2 to 1 in its first 3 months on sale

The Audi A3 is on fire in US showrooms. Not literally of course, that would be horrible, and the situation we're referring to is a good thing indeed, as the Four Rings has a serious hit on its hands with the compact luxury sedan. Looking at just its first three months on the market, the entry-level model is outselling the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class by nearly two to one.
The CLA was one of the hottest new cars of last year. Mercedes even called it the company's best launch in 20 years, but it sees as if that early sales performance has not been sustainable. According to Bloomberg, the CLA has seen its sales drop year-over-year in seven of the last eight months, and the new A3 came at just the right time to fill that void.
In June, Mercedes shifted 1,658 CLAs in the US, compared to 2,452 for the A3. The Merc has sold more units so far this year but only because the Audi sedan has only been on sale for three full months. With the two cars being relatively comparable as compact, front-wheel-drive, German luxury sedans, it appears buyers prefer the Four Rings over the Mercedes star, so far at least.
