Ok here is goes...if you are looking for an Audi TT roadster that has been owned by a CLEAN FREAK older lady and it was babied, kept in the garage about 23 hours a day, is non-smoking, no eating, no drinking, no snow/salt, never parked by any other cars (no door ding that way) and is in great maintained shape...then this is it! The ONLY and I mean only reason I am selling this car is because my older mother wont drive and just moved here from MI and my adult son also followed us to TX so now after driving TT's for 7 years I have to get a 4 seater car! I loved the TT so much that I had for 3 years before it was stolen and totalled that I replaced it 4 years ago with this one. The car has always been waxed at least twice a year and hand washed as the car washes are so hard on  the paint. I detailed it several times a month too as I am a clean freak and when someone (which is often) says houw clean it is, I say it is dirty...that is how OCD I am with it! The miles are babied miles as I putz around on errands or take my daughter to school and that is it. The oil was changed 2 weeks ago and the tires and breaks are good with no need to change either one any time soon. Actually there is not one sinngle thing the car needs. Nothing is broke or not working. There are no door dings on the doors and no major or even minor damage. It is 8 years old so it has a very little bit of normal use wear but I even lectured the oil change guys that "I will be watching you and you better not scuff your big fat feet/work boots on the side getting in or out". Yes, I am that fussy! The top is power and that is so important and it has the power glass wind screen too. There is a leather like cover that you can put on when the top is down to finish off the look. I rarely had the top down as it is not good for the leather to bake in the sun, yes again I am that fussy! The air was charged last August though it didn't need it, I wanted to ensure I was cool at it set at 76. The spare has never been used nor the safety gear in the trunk. I think they are reflectors or flares or something, I never opened them so I am not sure. I have all of the books and the extra keys that go with it. It has never broken down so it has never been towed either. It has the traction control option, power windows, locks, cruise, tilt, seat can be raised higher, cd changer, airbag can be turned off for children, locking storage for when the top is down. Another locking trunk release behind the passanger seat. It also haa the typical computerized stuff on the dash...date, time, temp, trip and other stuff that I not sure what it is for. The stereo has great sound and while the top is down and you are cruising you CAN hear it very clear and loud. Nothing like the wind and classic rock tunes! The trunk is spotless as are the floor mats. The seat heaters will bake you off of your seat at 1/3 of the power. The transmission is an automatic but it has the option to shift as a manual. I tried it once and it was fun but unnecessary. I have a staineless steel front plate that you can have if you don't need a state front plate on it like darn TX does. There is a small amount of curb rash on one or two rims but it is just on the edge. No stone chips on the windows or front end and the leather seats don't have any major wear as I weight 102 lbs and didn't let anyone else drive it and my daughter is tiny too. I added the chrome strips to the front grill so that is unusual and very cool looking. One older person previous owner owned it for 4 years prior to me owning it the last 4 years. If you are a serious buyer and have questions feel free to email or call 910-524-0855. I babbled so excuse the misspelled words and nonuniform format.

Audi R8 LMX illuminates the City of Light with lasers

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

Hard as it may seem to believe, the Audi R8 has been around for the better part of a decade. But does that make us love it any less? Hardly, especially not when Audi keeps rolling out ever-more enticing versions like the one you see here.
Debuting at the Paris Motor Show, the new Audi R8 LMX is the most powerful version of the supercar we've seen yet, thanks to a 5.2-liter V10 engine tuned to deliver 570 metric horsepower. That's 562 by our count, making it ten horses more potent than the R8 GT, or 37 more than the standard ten-cylinder R8 5.2 FSI - enough to propel the LMX to 62 in 3.4 seconds.
That's not all that sets the LMX apart, however, as Audi has fit it with cutting-edge laser-beam headlights. It comes exclusively as a coupe in Ara Blue with carbon fiber trim, special wheels, red brake calipers and a black leather cockpit. Only 99 examples will be made, and with those laser headlights banned in the US, your best chance of seeing one is in the gallery of live images above.

Porsche wins the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans

Sun, Jun 14 2015

The question going into this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans was whether or not the Porsche 919 Hybrid would be able to combine its qualifying pace with race reliability. After battling neck-and-neck with Audi's R18 for most of the race, the answer is a resounding yes. Not only did Porsche drivers climb the first two spots on the podium, they did so without any major mishaps on track. This win is the first overall trophy for Porsche since 1998. Audi previously won the last five races, and 13 of the last 15. Corvette also returned to the winner's circle, with the No. 64 C7.R taking winning the GTE Pro division. The victory is the first class win for Corvette since 2011. KCMG won the LMP2 class in ninth overall. With 45 minutes to go the No. 98 Aston Martin crashed out of first place in GTE Amateur, giving the class win to SMP Racing's Ferrari and second place to the Patrick Dempsey Racing Porsche 911 RSR. For the full list of official results, click here. The GTE Pro class proved to be just as exciting as the P1 class, with a four-way battle for first after four hours into the race. For most of the race, the battle at the top went back and forth between the two German manufacturers. An tire puncture in the No. 7 Audi gave up the lead to Porsche, and moments later a crash forced the No. 8 into the garage. But a three-minute replacement of the front and rear bodywork kept the Audi in contention. As the race wore into the night, Porsche maintained a slightly faster pace than Audi. Nick Tandy took the lead on Lap 253 early Sunday morning, and car No. 19 never gave up the top position. The win is the first for all three drivers of the No. 19 – Nico Hulkenberg, Earl Bamber, and Nick Tandy. A lap behind in second was the No. 17 Porsche. The Audis fought reliability problems late in the race but still finished third with the No. 7 R18. The GTE Pro class proved to be just as exciting as the P1 class, with a four-way battle for first after four hours into the race. As the Aston Martin cars dropped away, the lone Corvette Racing entry took over, followed by a charging AF Corse team Ferrari 458 Italia. The Corvette and Ferrari continued to trade places in the final hours until gearbox trouble forced the No. 51 Ferrari out of contention. It was eventually passed by the other AF Corse car, No. 71. Nissan experienced all the pain of a first-year effort with its front-wheel-drive GT-R LM Nismo.

2014 Nissan GT-R Track Pack squares off against Audi R8 V10 Plus

Wed, 22 May 2013

The team over at Motor Trend has pitted the new Audi R8 V10 Plus against the Nissan GT-R. While both of the bright red all-wheel-drive supercars are comparably matched in power output, the similarities end there. Audi offers a mid-engine aluminum coupe with a naturally aspirated V10 that spits out 550 horsepower. Nissan shows up with a more traditional coupe equipped with a 545-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 at the front of the car.
The Head-to-Head video takes both cars to the Streets of Willow Springs in the California desert for some track work with professional racing driver Randy Pobst behind the wheel. After a day at the track, the pair head to the local mountains for some spirited real-world driving. One dominates on the circuit, while the other earns back its credibility in the canyons. We won't tell you which coupe comes out on top, but we think you may be surprised. Follow the link below to watch for yourself.
