2000 Audi Tt Quattro Base Coupe 2-door 1.8l on 2040-cars
Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States
Hi,
I am selling my Audi TT to buy a cheaper car and put some cash into a truck (which I need for my small business, to haul power washers and ladders. Right now I am borrowing my grandparents vehicle lol). It is mechanically sound. Starts and drives great. Nice and smooth. The Audi comes with brand new aftermarket rims and Michelin winter tires plus an additional set of aftermarket wheels. The new 16" Crowns and Michelins are covered by a GREAT warranty. Example: when the new rims and tires were first bought the front right tire went flat in the three weeks. The warranty covered the tow of the vehicle as well as the new part and all labor. The tow was even free. The new Michelin tires have a 35,000 mile warranty. The other set of wheels are black aftermarket 18" Tenzo's. The TT has only two exterior dents (one by drivers door handle, the other on the passengers rear fender). Interior is leather and fully loaded. Has heated front seats. The interior feels like a cockpit. I am 6' and 250lbs, there is additional room if you are bigger. The TT is quick. Fun car and is super safe in the winter with AWD. I would put my GF, mom, baby kid brother in this thing during a snow storm and know they are safe, the TT has great traction and does not lose control. Turns heads and people compliment it all of the time. The engine is a 1.8L Turbo included with a turbo/vacuum gauge to measure PSI, currently set at 9psi. The gauge allows you to also detect any possible air leaks in the turbo gaskets. If the gauge shows you are not hitting 9psi, something is wrong. Transmission is a 5 speed stick shift. Problems: The check engine light is on due to an emission tube leak. Should be an easy fix. Besides that the engine and exterior are both 9/10. The interior is in good condition compared to the year. Needs: Rack and Pinion - I brought it to a shop and was told that the leak is too slow to replace. They recommended 'Lucas Fluid' to stop the leak (I haven't done this yet). Since I noticed the leak, about 4 months ago, I have only had to add 4 ounces of power steering fluid to the reservoir twice. I keep power steering fluid in the car (got a Liter, it was the only size) and check the level about every five days. - The part would cost $230 and would be almost 4 hours of labor. Timing Belt and Clutch both replace. No grinding, slipping, and it grips great. Feel free to text or call with any questions - or an offer. Six.One.Six.Seven.Four.Five.Eight.Four.Three.Zero |

Audi Sport sets up new shop in Neuburg
Thu, 04 Sep 2014Racing fans may know Audi best for its Le Mans team that's positively dominated the endurance racing scene. But as formidable as its Le Mans program is, that's only one of the racing disciplines in which Audi competes. It also competes in the full FIA World Endurance Championship, as well as Germany's popular DTM touring car series and supports customer teams in GT racing series around the world. And now the competition division is getting a new headquarters.
Audi Sport has until now been based in an old supermarket near to the company's head offices in Ingolstadt, but is now moving into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility 12 miles to the west in nearby Neuburg. The result of some 20 years of planning and two years of construction, the complex covers 116 acres of land in Neuburg-Heinrichsheim and will house engineers, technicians and other staff who deal with the R18 E-Tron Quattro, the RS5 DTM and R8 LMS Ultra that compete the world over.
The facility was officially opened this past Saturday with participation from top Audi brass and local government officials and included demonstrations from all three of those racecars around the on-site test track. The works team has begun moving in and the customer racing department will move into its new Motorsport Competence Center in the first half of 2015.
First official Audi R8 photo leaks
Thu, Feb 26 2015The next-gen Audi R8 makes its grand debut in a just a few days at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. However, leaks aren't uncommon for such a highly anticipated model, and it appears that the first official shot of the future supercar is now online. Autoblog en Espanol claims this is the first leaked factory photo showing the new Audi R8 completely undisguised. The single image depicts the supercar from the front, and it looks a lot like both Audi's own official teaser and the previous blurry image from Instagram. Based on this picture, the German designers thickened the outline around the grille at the front and added vertical slats at each corner. They also removed the gentle curve in the headlights in favor of a completely angular look. While the side blades were one of the major styling features of the original, their appearance has been toned down by removing the vertical, contrasting strip running up the body. Though the exterior design seems to evolve the R8 slightly, there are some big changes for the powertrain. Audi is ditching the V8 for the latest model and opting for two tunes of the 5.2-liter V10. The standard version gets 540 horsepower, and the Plus pushes output up to 610 hp. The top trim can reportedly hit 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 205 mph. Although, there are already the rumors of other variants, including a turbo V6, coming later. Related Video:
Audi S3 Sedan boasts SAE 296 hp, 0-60 in 4.7 seconds
Tue, 26 Mar 2013
The (technically speaking) 2015 Audi S3 sedan should start at right near $39,000.
The last time Audi gifted the world with a small sport sedan was way back when the A4 wasn't an entry-luxury executive car costing relative gads of dough, so maybe since the mid-1990s. In a company decision reversal, we're now officially getting the new A3 Sportback starting later this year, but that's a five-door hatch and not a big volume attraction for markets like the United States. And there's no guarantee we'll get the S3 Sportback version yet. So, what to do?
