This is the one!  No excuses.  9.9 out of 10!  Needs nothing except a new owner. I"ve had the S6 for over 8 years and I recently bought a Mercedes SLK and need the garage space.   Don't be shy to ask questions.

This S6 is immaculate inside and out.  Always garaged.  Not modified.  Everything works correctly.  No excuses.  If you view this ad, chances are that you know what an S6 is.  Or, you can read about it at:   http://www.kbb.com/audi/s6/2002-audi-s6/avant-wagon-4d/?pricetype=private-party&vehicleid=3422&intent=trade-in-sell&mileage=118000&options=131992%7ctrue%7c131984%7ctrue%7c131928%7ctrue%7c131922%7ctrue&anchor=true&anchor=true

Always maintained to the letter and I can PROVE it!.  As Audi's pass 100K miles, there are many expensive maintenance items that will need to be addressed, including the $3,000 plus timing belt service.  I have over 13 documented invoices totaling over $10,000 from one of the best Audi dealers (not an independent shop) in the mid-Atlantic area.   Items include:

$3,187  Full timing belt and tensioner service including water pump and thermostat, air filter, pollen filter, spark plugs, control arm bushings.

$1,622.  Tie rod ends, factory battery, 4-wheel alignment, center muffler.

$1,270.  Window regulators

$1003.  Right rear door lock, right rear door switch, power window switch

$938.  Purge valve, coil packs, brake flush, 02 sensor,

$790 Front brake pads and rotors

$635.  Rear brake pads and rotors, oil and filter service

Many more receipts for smaller items.

New tires and wheels about 7,000 miles ago.  (The factory original wheels go with it)

Plus oil and filter changes every 3,000 miles with Mobil 1.

 CLEAN CARFAX:  VIN:  WAUXU64B32NO92337

Has  so many bells and whistles I can't list them all.  including rear parking sensors, auto-dimming mirrors (all of them).  Power adjustable tilt/telescope steering wheel with memory.  Heated mirrors, Heated front and rear seats.  Seat memory driver and passenger.   Steering wheel mounted shifters, hard drive MP3 player (takes the place of the rear CD changer).  Xenon self-leveling headlights.  ABS, Stability Control, Traction Control,  Maintained to the letter by Autohaus Lancaster, the local Porsche/Audi dealer. All original. All maintenance and TSB's up to date.  Everything works properly down to the smallest detail. Near flawless Brilliant Black paint with light gray leather interior.  Perfect wood trim.  Shines like factory new. Black rubber trim is unweathered and looks new.   Full alcantera headliner . Bose stereo sounds great and has PhatNoise  20GB hard drive based audio mp3 player installed (installs in the spot for the optional 6 disk changer in the rear) as well as factory 6 disk CD. This is a rare opportunity to own a well cared for pristine S6 in excellent condition.  All factory manuals and two smart keys.  Unlocking with the key even moves the seat, steering wheel and mirrors to your preset position.  Each key has its own memory!

No excuses here.  You will NOT be disappointed.  You will likely not find another S6 with this level of maintenance and care. All ready for you to put another 100,000 miles on her.  Call or txt Mike at 7174645086 for more info.

Audi R8 lines up as safety car for Rolex 24 at Daytona

Sat, 25 Jan 2014

This weekend a new era begins in American sports car racing with the Rolex 24 at Daytona to kick off the new United SportsCar Championship, the freshly inked union between the Grand Am and American Le Mans Series. There'll be a wide variety of machinery lining up on the grid at the Florida speedway, including race-ready versions of the sports cars you can drive on the road, plus Daytona Prototypes, Le Mans Prototypes and even the DeltaWing. But at the front of the pack will be the Audi R8 5.2 FSI.
That's because Ingolstadt's flagship has been named as the official safety car for this, the 52nd annual Rolex 24 at Daytona. And so the R8 becomes the first pace car pressed into service for the United SportsCar Championship, although the model also paced last year's race (pictured above) when it was under the auspices of the Grand Am series.
The car in question appears to bear little in the way of modifications over the showroom version, save for some requisite graphics and maybe some emergency lighting to make it more visible - because while you wouldn't miss an R8 slicing its way through ordinary traffic on the road, it's another story entirely in a field full of competition machinery. Audi points out that the road-going R8 shares a good 50 percent of its components with the R8 LMS competing in the race, including its 5.2-liter V10 engine that's available this year with a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Audi supercar not yet approved, R4 not quite dead, still room for an MPV

Wed, 24 Apr 2013

According to a report by Autocar, all we thought we knew of the in-development Audi supercar we might not actually know. A piece in Car and Driver, not even a month old, said the diesel-hybrid halo car was in the design stages, would get the engine from the R18 E-Tron Quattro and its carbon fiber tub. Now we get word that that while the coupe is indeed being designed, it hasn't yet been signed off and there's no business case for it yet. Said business case, whenever it is built, is also dubious of the diesel aspect of the car at the moment - diesels aren't known for creating Pavlovian purchase responses in buyers in the two key markets of the US and China.
The report suggests that instead of a diesel, the 2014 Le Mans regulations changes "could swing the favour back towards petrol models," which would give the so-called Scorpion a better tie to racing technology. Of course, that also assumes that Audi would contest next year's Le Mans with a gas-powered car. If so, that would be an about-face on the original reasons for the halo sportscar in the first place.
In other news, seems Audi also believes it can slot another sportscar below the R8, it just needs to get the financials sorted. The R4 - a Porsche Boxster-sized roadster - that has been chattered about for years is still in on the table but appears a long way off. Company R&D chief Wolfgang Durheimer said it would need to be mid-engined and bring plenty of tech to separate itself from the TT, but mass-market price point is the catch as is the focus on other segments in the portfolio.

2016 Audi TT price increased to $42,900*

Wed, May 6 2015

Audi has announced pricing for the new third-generation TT and second-generation TTS, and both models have received a moderate bump. Simply getting into the family will demand $42,900, or $2,550 than the current coupe. If you fancy a topless TT, the price has jumped from $43,350 to $46,400, or $3,050 more than the last one. The performance-oriented TTS and its 292-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter, though, is easily the bargain of the range. At $51,900, it's $3,200 more than the current model. But where the normal TT only gets a nine-horsepower increase and stays even on torque output, the TTS has gone from just 265 hp to 292 ponies. Torque is up as well, from 258 pound-feet (the same as the normal model) to 280-lb-ft. Prices for the TTS Roadster, meanwhile, have not been announced. That said, considering the increases through the rest of the range, we'd expect the high-performance two-seater to come in at or around the $55,000 range. Considering our impressions during our first drive of the standard TT and the performance increase for the TTS, we must say, these price hikes don't seem exorbitant.
