This has been my daily driver for the summer. I have put 750 miles on it so far WITHOUT ANY ISSUES!

Has NEW YORK CLEAN TITLE with REBUILT Endorsement. NOT a salvage title - registers like any other car. Rebuilt Title due to a fire to a neighboring vehicle.

No need for special inspection - already PASSED the NYS Salvage Examination. Runs and drives great. No lights on the dash or any other issues.

You can title/register this car in any state like any other vehicle!

This car sold new for approx. $69,000 in 2011. Similar used cars are currently listed in the $40,000 range. I am asking $28,800 for it due to the title history.

I purchased the car from Allstate Insurance Co. I can provide the buyer with the pictures before any repairs were made (original condition of car).

The front and rear bumpers were repaired and repainted. The Passenger side headlight and outer taillights were replaced.

PLEASE - do not email to BS me about the title - I've discounted the price GREATLY solely because of that.

I've owned many Rebuilt Audi vehicles over the years. I am an Audi/VW enthusiast and I run (part-time) the dealership mainly to get the cars that I like!

If you are looking for a high end car like this, you know exactly the AMAZING value of what I am offering here.

The car is mechanically sound (proof the 750 trouble free miles I've put on it).

However, the following cosmetic imperfections were observed:

Entire car exterior needs to be detailed to remove normal (used car) imperfections - not your regular car wash silicone shine, but a proper multiple step detailing/waxing.

The passenger side mirror mounting bracket has damage. The rear right side are of the Cloth Convertible Top has couple heat affected spots.

These spots are about 3 inches in diameter, but do not affect the operation and also do not leak - they are purely cosmetic.

The driver side door carbon fiber trim/insert is damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced. I took it off and I am keeping it in the trunk until I figure out how to glue it.

In addition to the car, title, manuals and key, the buyer will receive a binder documenting the condition of the car when purchased and the work done to date.

I can also provide a free AutoCheck report for serious potential buyers.

All drive tests and inspections need to take place before placing an offer. Vehicle is being sold AS-IS.

Payment needs to be Cash, Wire/Bank Transfer or Certified Bank Check from major US Bank (needs to clear first).

You can call/text me at 845-538-9248 (evenings after 5.30 or Weekends anytime).

If you need this vehicle shipped, please email me the delivery ZIP code - I have access to dealer rates about 20% below market.

Audi Self-Driving Car Gets First Permit In California

Tue, Sep 16 2014

Computer-driven cars have been testing their skills on California roads for more than four years - but until now, the Department of Motor Vehicles wasn't sure just how many were rolling around. That changed Tuesday, when the agency issued testing permits that allowed three companies to dispatch 29 vehicles onto freeways and into neighborhoods - with a human behind the wheel in case the onboard computers make a bad decision. The German automaker Audi was first in the state to receive a self-driving car permit and already has plans to test drive an autonomous A7 around the Bay Area, according to the Los Angeles Times. These may be the cars of the future, but for now they represent a tiny fraction of California's approximately 32 million registered vehicles. Google's souped-up Lexus SUVs are the biggest fleet, with 25 vehicles. Mercedes and Volkswagen have two vehicles each, said Bernard Soriano, the DMV official overseeing the state's "autonomous vehicle" regulation-writing process. A "handful" of other companies are applying for permits, he said. The permits formally regulate testing that already was underway. Google alone is closing in on 1 million miles. The technology giant has bet heavily on the vehicles, which navigate using sophisticated sensors and detailed maps. Finally, government rules are catching up. In 2012, the California Legislature directed the DMV to regulate the emerging technology. Rules that the agency first proposed in January went into effect Tuesday. Among them: - Test drivers must have a sparkling driving record, complete a training regimen and enroll in a program that informs their employer if they get in an accident or are busted for driving under the influence off hours. - Companies must report to the state how many times their vehicles unexpectedly disengage from self-driving mode, whether due to a failure of the technology or because the human driver takes over in an emergency. They also must have insurance or other coverage to pay for property or personal injury claims of up to $5 million. California passed its law after Nevada and Florida and before Michigan. The federal government has not acted, and national regulations appear to be years away. It's impossible to know the total number of self-driving cars being tested on public roads because, unlike California and Nevada, Michigan does not require special permits to test self-driving cars on public roads.

2015 Audi S3 Sedan

Tue, 12 Nov 2013

For the last few years, Audi has been publicly toying with building a successor to its Ur-Quattro, a model still glowing in a gritty patina of motorsports glory decades after it left the scene. If anything, the rally car's halo has burned brighter as Audi has matured into a world luxury superpower. Since 2010, the German automaker has shown two different concept cars that attempted to re-bottle the legend's lightning, and it's still trying to figure out whether to market a production model. Despite that conundrum (and not to take anything away from the seminal Ur-Quattro), it's easy to argue that there are two other cars much more important to Audi's rise from its '80s ashes: the original TT and the B5-generation A4 and its high-performance variants.
The TT thrust Audi into the vanguard of automotive styling while firmly establishing the Volkswagen Group as masters of platform development (the same basic architecture and powertrain guts were employed in a dizzying array of models, from the Golf, Jetta and New Beetle to a number of Škoda products). This unprecedented, flexible building-block approach to new model development has since become the standard of the industry.
In the case of its B5 cars, the A4, S4 and RS4 put Audi back on the radar of rival German automakers, and more importantly, they grew the Four Rings' sales by leaps and bounds while reminding the world that all-wheel drive needn't only benefit hardcore performance cars and utility vehicles. Fast-forward to today, and the A4 has established itself as the bedrock of Audi's lineup, but it's also grown over its four generations to become substantially larger, heavier and costlier than the model that debuted back in 1996 America. That's created a vacuum at the bottom of the range that the company has inadequately addressed - until now.

2014 Audi SQ5

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

No Diesel? No Problem
With the exception of a handful of markets (including the US), the Audi SQ5 was a pioneer for the company's S/RS performance line as it was the first model to wear the badge and also get diesel power. Our general "everything is better with a diesel" mentality was put to the test when we first heard we would be getting a non-diesel SQ5 in the US (despite the availability of the diesel-powered Q5 TDI here already), but as usual we can only blame our federal emissions standards. As Audi tells it, the SQ5 TDI engine would require AdBlue to meet US emissions regulations, and the packaging of such a system just wasn't possible, so the global SQ5's diesel engine was replaced by a gasoline-powered V6 borrowed from the Audi S4/S5. To show that little, if anything, was lost in translation from diesel to gas, we headed to southwestern Colorado to spend an afternoon with the all-new 2014 Audi SQ5.
Our drive program had us taking the SQ5 from Durango, CO to the city of Gateway, before heading to Grand Junction the next morning. There's nothing like spending five hours strapped into a seat, traversing hill and mountain, to truly test a vehicle's comfort and driving dynamics. From the first touch of the SQ5's push-button starter, we knew this was no ordinary Q5. As the engine came to life with a deep burble and raspy pops, and we spent the rest of the day trying to come to terms with the fact that not everything needs a diesel. Wait. What?!
