2008 Audi S5 4.2 V8 with 38,3XX miles on the clock. Beautiful car with excellent paint, no dings, interior is immaculate as well. Red interior with NAV, manual 6spd, backup camera, led interior ambient lighting, speed sensitive windshield wipers, power folding mirrors, memory heated seats, speed sensitive power stearing, active headlights, and the best sounding factory stereo I have ever heard Bang and Olfusen, bluetooth and Ipod/Iphone interface. Sitting on Vossen 20 inch wheels and 295 series Yokohama Z Rated Tires in the back. The offset, tires, and stance of this car is awesome. The car also has an aftermarket Miltek exhaust that sounds incredible. Exhaust note is very noticeable around town but almost drowns out completely at high way speed, and then picks back up at 80 mph and above. The car is an absolute blast to drive and corners like its on rails. Low mileage weekend car only driven in fair weather since I have owned it. The cars is in excellent condition both physically and mechanically with all service being performed as verified through CARFAX when I bought the car. The tires are in good condition and have a lot of life left in them. The wheels have some rash on them from the previous owner who apparently didn't know how to parallel park very well. I have only put 5,000 miles on the car since I bought it in July of 2012. I bought it from Bobby Rahall Mercedes in Pittsburgh who thoroughly sorted thru the car prior to putting it on the lot. They look good from a distance but have their flaws up close. The car is a head turner, but its time to pursue my life long dream and get a 69 Camaro! Please ask any questions if you have them.

With increased range, Audi R8 E-Tron revving up for production. Maybe
Mon, Jan 20 2014As Tesla Motors proved mightily in 2013, an expensive EV with a long range can sell quite nicely, thank you very much. Perhaps Audi was taking notes, since its all-electric R8 E-Tron's on-again/off-again odyssey appears to be on again, according to UK's Autocar, citing Audi's Urlich Hackenburg. The model is near the approval stage for production, and the key to the green-light is the fact that its single-charge range has been almost doubled to 250 miles. The R8 E-Tron gained kudos in these parts last June by turning in a rather brisk 8:09 time around Germany's Nurburgring track, a record for a production electric vehicle (check out the really quiet video here). Still, plans for the 376-horsepower model, which has two electric motors and was first shown off at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2009, had been put on the proverbial blocks largely because of a relatively short single-charge range of about 150 miles. Then word came out last spring that Audi would produce maybe 10 units before reports from Australia's Drive late last year indicated that plans for potentially broader production were being resuscitated.
Audi investing $30.3 billion through 2018 for product expansion
Sun, 29 Dec 2013How does Audi plan to reach two million units in annual sales and pay for the 11 new models it's adding to its lineup - an expansion that may include models named SQ2, Q9 and F-Tron? By increasing its investment to 22 billion euros ($30.3 billion US) between now and 2018. That figure represents an increase of about 500 million euros over the previously planned outlay, according to a report by Automotive News, and that could be due to Audi wishing to goad the momentum that pushed it to 1.5 million annual sales two years ahead of schedule.
It's also about staving off the challenges from BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Now that BMW has been able to turn some of its attention away from its "i" series of Megacity cars, it will reportedly spend more than planned in 2014 as it continues the rollout of ten all-new vehicles and 15 new-generation vehicles through the end of next year. Mercedes, having been dropped to third in the sales race, is preparing to add 13 new cars over the next six years.
Audi's money is going into technology, into product like the next-generation TT and the Q1 and production expansions and upgrades all over the world. The expenditure represents just under a fourth of Volkswagen's 84.2 billion-euro ($115.7 US) outlay devoted to taking the number-one global automaker title away from General Motors and Toyota by 2018.
Audi celebrates diesel milestone with triple-charged RS5 TDI concept
Thu, 29 May 2014Diesels are typically slower than their gasoline counterparts, but leave it to Audi to turn that notion on its head. After dominating Le Mans and the international endurance racing scene under diesel power for the better part of a decade, the German automaker toyed with the idea of an oil-burning R8 for the road and ultimately made its first performance crossover a diesel. It's made the letters TDI a battle cry, and now it's yelling even louder with the RS5 TDI concept.
Set to be unveiled in a couple of days at the Leipzig Auto Show to celebrate 25 years of the TDI engine, the concept ditches the gasoline-burning 4.2-liter V8 in the production RS5 in favor of a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo-diesel with an electric supercharger added on to combat turbo lag. Output comes in at 385 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque, which means that while it has 65 fewer horses than the gasoline model, it packs a staggering 236 lb-ft more torque.
The result of the triple-charged madness is a 0-62 time around four seconds flat, trumping the 4.6 seconds for the road-going model. Top speed, of course, is electronically limited to 155 miles per hour, which is a bit of a shame because we bet it'd be a kick to pass a Porsche on the Autobahn in a diesel, now wouldn't it?
