The times come to part ways with my beautiful 2004 Brilliant Black S4 to cover expenses for my wedding. I purchased this car from its original owner in 2007 with 26K miles. Since, it has been meticulously maintained and garage kept. This is probably the cleanest 2004 S4 on the road and comes equipped with every option imaginable.
The car has a 6 speed manual transmission and the 4.2L 340hp V8 motor is completely stock (ALWAYS babied and NEVER abused). To keep with the maintenance schedule I've recently had New Clutch, New AC Compressor, New Starter, and New Cam Adjusters installed. From the factory this car came fully loaded with every option including but not limited to Bose Premium Sound, Power Sunroof, Heated Seats, Onstar, Satellite Radio, etc. The interior has a rare combination of Aluminum Trim and Black leather w/ Silver Alcantara Recaro Seats. It has also been tastefully modified with the following upgrades: Kenwood Excelon DNX6980 In Dash Receiver (DVD/CD, Navigation, Bluetooth), Custom suede trunk setup designed to match interior housing a JL Audio 10W7 Anniversary Edition Subwoofer and JL Audio 500/1v2 Amplifier, Kenwood iPod/Video Cable, Base Control Knob, Audi all weather floor mats, and tinted windows. The suspension and wheel combination on this car is second to none giving it the perfect stance. It is equipped with H&R Coilovers for ride height adjustability which can be reverted back to stock ride height if preferred. The wheels are Bentley Continental GT Mulliner 2 Piece - 19X9 ET 41 wrapped in Continental Extreme Contact DWS - 225/35 ZR 19 tires (Wheels alone are valued at $1650.00/a piece). 2014 Audi SQ5 ditches diesel, still packs a punch
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Over in Europe-land, the Audi SQ5 is a diesel-powered monster capable of sending a whopping 479 pound-feet of torque to its wheels. Naturally, this beast isn't coming to the States, but that doesn't mean we're missing out on the whole SQ5 experience altogether. At the Detroit Auto Show this week, Audi is debuting a new gasoline-powered version of the hot crossover, and while it's not quite the oil-burning dreamboat we've lusted after from afar, we certainly wouldn't kick it out of bed.
Instead of a diesel, we get a boosted version of Audi's supercharged 3.0-liter V6, good for 354 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque. Running through an eight-speed automatic transmission, the SQ5 will reportedly be able to fire off 0-60 times in the low-five-second range and will top out at an electronically limited 155 miles per hour. Suspension upgrades are on hand to improve road-going prowess, but also lower the Q5's stance a bit, too.
Because this is an S model, there are plenty of visual upgrades on hand, including a more aggressive front fascia, 20-inch wheels and some pretty new colors including Estoril Blue and Panther Black. Interior upgrades like Alcantara trim and aluminum brightwork add to some sportiness from the cockpit view, as well.
Audi R8 V10 Plus takes on Ducati Diavel in straight line
Fri, 05 Apr 2013The classic car-versus-motorcycle comparison is put to the test as Autocar pits a 2013 Audi R8 V10 against the Ducati Diavel in a run from 0-150-0 miles per hour. While you might expect the 162-horsepower Ducati weighing just 515 pounds to blow away the 542-horse, 3,500-pound Audi, this particular test measures the acceleration and braking of both high-performance machines.
Drag racing an Audi R8 against a Ducati on a long, flat stretch of concrete sounds fun to us, and Autocar documented the whole test for our viewing pleasure. We don't want to spoil the fun for you, so let's just say that a Volkswagen-owned brand wins. Scroll down to watch the video for yourself.
MT's Jessi Lang recounts her harrowing Autobahn R8 crash
Wed, Aug 6 2014Automotive enthusiasts know the name, face, voice and stories of Jessi Lang well. And if they don't, they should. The longtime Motor Trend video presenter and host of The J-Turn is a regular fixture on the automotive scene, and one of our favorite to watch. But a year ago, Jessi vanished from the scene. And we're sad to say she hasn't been kicking back enjoying umbrella drinks on the beach all this while. A year ago Lang went on a pilgrimage to Germany, driving a Porsche 911 GT3 on the Nurburgring and an Audi R8 modified by Abt on the Autobahn when the unthinkable happened. A car swerved out of its lane and into Jessi's path. A catastrophic collision ensued, and Lang was seriously injured. Jessi's been recovering from the multiple fractures and life-threatening lacerations ever since, and in her first appearance back on the net, has returned to tell her harrowing but courageous story.
