I am pleased to offer my 2005 Audi S4 Quattro here on eBay. In my opinion, the B6 S4 (2003-2005) is the best generation S4 due to the 4.2L V8 engine and the beautiful timeless styling. I personally think this body style is more attractive than the current S4 on the market. This is a true driver's car for several reasons. The 4.2L V8 engine produces 339 horsepower, creating an incredible deep exhaust note and plenty of power. Being a true enthusiaist's car, the engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and power is planted to the road through the Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system. Setting the S4 apart from the standard A4 model are the discrete lower door trims, aluminum exterior door mirrors, and S4 badging front and rear. In the interior, front and rear Recaro Seats, fronts fully electric, as well as S4 logos in the instrument panel and door sills complete the detail. This car is completely stock and unmolested, with no aftermarket add-ons, with the exception of the tinted windows, which is extremely common here in Texas.

The interior of this car is in very, very good condition. The Ebony Silk Napa Leather seats show only minimal wear as seen in the pictures. The wood inserts on the dash, center console, and doors all shine like new with no cracks. This car has the in-dash 6-disc CD changer with the Bose audio system which sounds excellent. It also has the factory DVD-based navigation system and a power moonroof. This car has obviously been a non-smoker's car for its entire life, as it still retains that rich leather smell. The only issues on the interior are that one of the hinges on the glovebox has cracked, a very common issue with all Audis of this era, and the center console lid doesn't latch properly, however it still functions fine.

The exterior of this S4 is in remarkably good condition for the year and miles, and the Arctic White color is quite striking in person. There are a few minor blemishes on the exterior, but nothing major that detracts from the beauty of the car, I've done my best to show them in the photos. One of my favorite parts of the exterior are the 'Avus-III' 18" die-cast aluminium alloy wheels. I've always loved the design of these wheels, all the way back to the B5 S4s. The tires are all matching Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires.

I'm a motoring enthusiast and have always done the routine maintenance on this car on my own. Since I've owned it, it has always had Mobil 1 0W-40 fully synthetic oil with a Mann Oil Filter. It appears to have no leaks, as it has been parked in my garage for the past two weeks and the floor is completely dry. Other recent services include new rear brake rotors and pads and a new power steering rack and power steering pump. The car comes with one key, all factory manuals, and the service records since I've owned it. If you're a Texas buyer, the car has a new state inspection sticker good through 8/14. I really love this car and am sad to sell it, but a recent change in my life has left me with two Audis, and I must part with this one since I'm still financing the other.

Please feel free to contact me if you'd like to come see and drive the vehicle before bidding.

I'm not sure why the AutoCheck shows this car was repossessed 5 times since I've owned it, that is obviously an error on their part. I purchased the car in August of 2011 and paid off the loan entirely within a year. I have the clear title in hand with the lien from the bank released. The car was never repossessed from me.

Audi calls R18 E-Tron Quattro its 'most complex race car'

Wed, May 14 2014

Technically speaking, Audi's R18 E-Tron Quattro is quite technical. The German automaker says the diesel-hybrid is the "most complex race car" it's ever created. And we'll take their word for it. The Audi, which pairs a V6 turbodiesel powering the rear wheels with two electric motors, is all about connectivity, giving the car's crew the opportunity to constantly monitor the vehicle while it's racing. The car sends in a host of data each lap to the crew's computers, and the vehicle's telemetry system constantly keeps tabs on things like hybrid energy levels, cockpit temperature and boost-pressure levels. In all, the amount of data parameters is more than 100 times greater than in 1989, when Audi first tested a race car equipped with automatic data transmission capabilities. Audi first released specs on the updated version of the R18 E-Tron Quattro late last year, trumpeting the vehicle's advantages in competing in the LMP1 class of the 2014 World Endurance Championship (WEC). Audi made the car a little narrower and a little taller and it complies with a new WEC regulation requiring the front end set off by a new wing. Take a look at Audi's most recent press release below. AUDI R18 E-TRON QUATTRO WITH COMPLEX ELECTRONIC ARCHITECTURE • Telemetry connection between race car and pit lane • Permanent acquisition of far more than 1,000 parameters • Various electronic control units interlinked by a multitude of CAN Bus systems Ingolstadt, May 5, 2014 – The Audi R18 e-tron quattro is the most complex race car created in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm to date. This not only applies to the mechanics. The electronics of the most recent LMP1 race car with the four rings is more sophisticated than ever before. The age of electronic data transmission from the race car on track began for Audi in 1989. At that time, an Audi 90 quattro in the IMSA GTO series radioed eight parameters to the garage where engine speeds and a few pressures and temperatures were plotted on printouts – a tiny step from today's perspective, but one that provided important insights at the time. Today, an Audi R18 e-tron quattro on more than a thousand channels, in cycles that in some cases only amount to milliseconds, generates data of crucial importance to a staff of engineers at Audi Sport. At Le Mans, the engineers constantly monitor their race cars for 24 hours.

Is the Audi R8 E-Tron project back on again?

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

If you ask Audi about its R8 E-Tron prototype, the all-electric two-seater that was first shown at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the automaker will tell you that its development program is on hold. Yet, as we reported in January, limited production of the combustion-free coupe may be moving forward... information still officially unconfirmed by the automaker.
New images of the electrified R8 undergoing winter testing in Europe have emerged (above and in our gallery), and the car has been spotted running in Spain as well. Both sightings support reports that the E-Tron, with its 150-mile battery range and 8:09 Nürburgring time, may be back in business. Does the program have a green light, or is Audi merely trying to take some of the thunder from the BMW i8?
Whatever the case, if the R8 E-Tron does eventually make it into showrooms - and we are now led to believe it will - expect production volume to be very low. Assuming it doesn't get shelved again, of course.

Audi A8 facelift on the way

Thu, 23 May 2013

The coming Audi A8 has already been spotted in camouflage on public roads at earthly elevations, and now our snappers have caught it at elevation in the Alps. The evolution will entail modified head- and taillights, different sculpting for the grille and a new bumper profile said to be more in line with the A6 S Line.
Inside, there might also be adjustments made to input controls like the gesture touchpad and the MMI infotainment system that include behind-the-scenes improvements like new Nvidia Tegra chips, but such revisions are expected to be minor. With the S8 and the TDI just having been launched, don't be surprised if engine outputs also remain the same. The prevailing sneaking suspicion is that we'll see the car unveiled at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show.
