2008 Audi Rs4 Base Sedan 4-door 4.2l on 2040-cars
Spring Hill, Florida, United States
up for sale is the best car I've ever owned. if you know anything about the rs4 you know how rare they are. Only 1,100 cars were brought to the states in 2007 and 2008.this particular car has every option available for this year, including titanium package ,which is all trim is black instead of chrome. also the audi exclusive interior package which was a 3800.00 option.the paint color is also rare and exclusive for this model. The audi dealership has told me that there are less than 30 of these cars on the streets in the US. this brings me to the reason I bought this car as a re-buidable. I just couldn't find one otherwise The damage to the car was minor and I had it fixed with every single part new from audi. There are no used parts on it. the damage happened at 3400 miles and was to the front pass fender and pass quarter panel. all sheet metal was replaced and nothing under the car was damaged.I have driven in for the last 26,000 miles with zero problems and it drives perfect at every speed.I have upgraded the suspension with K&W stage 2 fully adjustable coilovers. This was 5,000 installed.the wheels are 20 inch vossen 3 piece powder coated black with bf Goodrich kdw tires 85% tread 7000$. It has an APR flash in the ecu 600$ and a Gruppe M carbon fiber intake 1500$. Full magna flow exhaust 1400$. The condition is near flawless only a few very small rock chips keep it from perfection. Interior is perfect ,even the rs4 floor mats look new. there will be no dissapointments especially when you drive it. feel free to call with any questions 352-428-1542

Audi R18 suffers huge crash during Le Mans practice, driver conscious and alert
Wed, 11 Jun 2014Loic Duval, driver of the #1 Audi R18 E-tron Quattro, suffered a massive crash today during free practice for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Duval's car reportedly went off track backwards at high speed near the Porsche Curves and flew into the retaining fence. There is no video of the actual crash at the moment, but a video of the aftermath (viewable below) shows significant damage to the Audi and to the fence. The wall nearby the car appears unaffected.
Thankfully, it occurred quite close to a marshal's stand, and they were present almost immediately after the incident. Both the official press release from the 24 Hours of Le Mans and a tweet from Audi Sport (below) indicated that Duval was conscious after the crash, and he was taken by ambulance to the medical center and then to the hospital. The press release says: "His condition is encouraging." However, any injuries he might have sustained are unknown at this time. After the crash, the course was red flagged, and practice resumed about 50 minutes later.
Duval is alert. He will be transported from the Medical Center to the hospital for further examinations #R18 #LM24 @FIAWEC @24hoursoflemans
When Android Automotive goes in the dash, Google wins — and automakers lose data
Tue, May 22 2018You've gotta hand it to Google for the way the Silicon Valley tech giant has made indelible inroads into the car on multiple fronts. The most obvious is with its pioneering self-driving car technology that's caused car companies to get their act together on autonomous vehicles — and also collaborate with Google. Google has more directly extended its influence and data-mining capabilities into the car with its Android Auto smartphone-projection platform that most major automakers have adopted along with Apple's CarPlay. And now it's preparing to dig even deeper into dashboards by deploying its open-source operating system, Android Automotive, beginning with Audi and Volvo. Volvo recently announced that its next-generation Sensus infotainment system will run Android Automotive as an OS and include Google's Play Store for cloud-based content, Maps for navigation and Google Assistant for voice recognition, which can even command a car's climate control. By embedding Google in the dash, Volvo says owners will get an improved connected experience. "Bringing Google services into Volvo cars will accelerate innovation in connectivity and boost our development in applications and connected services," Volvo senior vice president of R&D Henrik Green said in a statement. "Soon, Volvo drivers will have direct access to thousands of in-car apps that make daily life easier and the connected in-car experience more enjoyable." Having Android Automotive onboard could benefit drivers — and provide a big win for Google, since it opens a deep and lucrative new data-mining vein for the company. But it's a wave of a white flag for car companies when it comes to delivering their own cloud-based content and services. It also represents a massive data giveaway and, for Audi, a reversal of earlier reservations about letting Google get too much access to car data. Not long after Android Auto and Apple CarPlay were introduced in 2014 and most automakers eagerly embraced the technologies, several German automakers second-guessed their decision when they realized what was at stake: data. At a conference in Berlin in 2015, Audi CEO Rupert Stadler said car owners "want to be in control of their data, and not subject to monitoring." A few months earlier, Stadler stated that "the data that we collect is our data and not Google's.
Autoblog Minute: Nokia to sell Here mapping for $3.1B
Wed, Aug 5 2015In a three company partnership the German automakers BMW, Audi and Daimler are set to take ownership of Nokia's Here mapping technology. Autoblog's Eddie Sabatini reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] In a battle for Nokia's highly coveted mapping technology the auto industry claims victory over Silicon Valley. I'm Eddie Sabatini and this is your Autoblog Minute. In a three company partnership the German automakers BMW, Audi and Daimler are set to take ownership of Nokia's Here mapping technology. The Wall Street Journal writes that the automakers had concerns that the technology might fall under the [00:00:30]control of companies like Google, Uber, or Apple. The purchase, worth a reported 3.1 billion dollars, is still subject to antitrust evaluation before it's finalized; but this early news is already a big win for the German three. Ownership of Nokia's Here tech means that automakers won't lose control of the information systems that go into their cars. The deal, if approved, is expected to close in first quarter of 2016.
