Up for sale is a one of a kind Heffner Twin Turbo Audi R8. I've owned this car for about 3 years now, and as much as I hate to let it go, but my business dictates that it's time for someone else to enjoy it. Instead of a amazingly fun sports car I'm now in need of an SUV. In addition to the turbo system, the car has an upgraded V10 clutch. It also has V10 front and rear bumpers with Carbon Fiber grille inserts giving it a very unique look.

If you don't know about Heffner Performance, check out their website for more info on the system. It adds 200 HP to the engine, bringing it up to 630 hp.  This car pulls like a freight train, and is definitely the most powerful car I've ever had the pleasure to drive.

Mechanically, the car is in great shape, but its not a garage queen. It's been driven, and thoroughly enjoyed. Most of the miles on it are highway miles as I have a 60 mile round trip commute. It has a few paint chips.  It has a small ding in the door. I've had an estimate to get it repaired - about $350, I just haven't had time to do it yet. Aside from that, It's very clean inside and out and gets compliments all the time. This car definitely gets noticed! It has pretty much every premium option available. I will add a picture of the window sticker to show all options.

Some of the other additions are as follows:

35% tinted side windows - The tint is in excellent condition.

Black Powder coated wheels with purple center caps

Smoked European tail lights

Carbon Fiber everywhere

Built-in Valentine 1 Radar detector w/ display built into the rear view mirror and custom Carbon fiber control mount

Laser Jammer

Bluetooth wireless audio input for streaming music from your phone

Here's your chance to own a truly amazing German Supercar for a fraction of the cost of a new one.

Audi S1 officially shows itself as 228-hp hot hatch [w/video]

Wed, 12 Feb 2014

We got the first leaked pics of the new Audi S1 Sportback five-door hot hatch yesterday, and as expected, Audi has unloaded the full details today, including confirmation of its S1 three-door sibling ahead of its debut at next month's Geneva Motor Show. The two cars are essentially identical aside from their door counts, and together, they represent a new entry-level rung into Audi's S car range.
The subcompact S1 is propelled by Audi's ubiquitous 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder, tuned here to produce 228 horsepower and 279 pound-feet with a six-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive. The potent combo accelerates the S1 to 62 miles per hour in 5.8 seconds (5.9 seconds for the Sportback) and on to a top speed of 155 mph. Fuel economy is rated at an average 33.6 miles per gallon (40.3 mpg UK) in the UK cycle. The S also gets a completely different four-link independent suspension to replace the less sophisticated torsion beam setup found in the standard A1.
Styling also gets a bump in aggressiveness that befit the S1's performance upgrades. In addition to a new body kit with a lower front air dam and 17-inch wheels, the S1 comes standard with Xenon headlights, LED taillights and two new available exterior colors - Vegas Yellow and Sepang Blue. The interior gets combination leather and cloth sport seats, piano black trim and a retractable 6.5-inch color infotainment display.

Audi starts production of new TT in Hungary

Mon, 04 Aug 2014

Audi sure made waves when it rolled out the original TT in the late 1990s, putting fashion forward with a stylish coupe that neatly summed up the design direction the company was headed in. But that was a decade and a half ago, and the TT has moved on considerably since then.
The German automaker has since revealed its third-generation TT, replacing the original twice over with ever-more performance-focused but no less stylish successors along the way. But it wasn't until last week that the first new MkIII TT rolled off the assembly line.
That took place, of course, in Gyor at Audi Hungaria Motor Kft. It's the same assembly plant that handles the company's A3 sedan and cabrio, with the facility also handling final assembly of the TT ever since the factory opened in 1997 and the model began rolling off the line in '98. Last November, the plant in Hungary built its 500,000th TT, and now officials are ushering in the era of the new model.

Audi A9 Concept teased in video, new design chief tells us what to expect in LA

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

Audi has just dropped another teaser for the A9 Concept it'll be displaying at this month's LA Auto Show. This time around, instead of one static image, we get a tantalizing video of the showcar narrated by new Audi design chief Marc Lichte.
In terms of the A9, we get a better look at the body form than we've yet seen, and we also sneak a peek at its massive, blocky, turbine-style wheels that the conceptual flagship will wear in Los Angeles.
Lichte also takes this video opportunity as a chance to say how-do-you-do to the enthusiast community, commenting not only on his vision for the A9, but also offering up his bona fides in terms of family racing and art heritage. Get to know the man behind the car behind the sheet, here.
