Up for auction is my 2008 Audi R8. This Heffner Twin Turbo R8 was just completed less than 3,500 miles ago (details of the build below). The beauty of this beast is that it runs and drives like a stock R8 but, with the power it should've had when built from the factory, When you let the RPM's climb, hold on! Speed starts to increase with no lag and keeps pulling in every gear. 1st and 2nd will break he tires loose.
Extremely reliable and dependable, this car was designed for comfort and the technology is incredible.... Ibis White / Black Leather with Carbon Fiber Sigma Sideblades, Bang & Olufsen Hi-Fi Sound and Navigation - just to name a few! Comes complete with all keys and key fobs, owner's manual, navigation cd and a fresh service just done.The only thing that the R8, with the standard 4.2 liter V8 might be lacking, is straight-line performance - this is where Heffner Performance comes in....This Audi is producing 6 psi of boost, increasing the engine horsepower rating by over 200 horsepower with a total of 650HP!!!! With the Heffner Twin Turbo Package, the V10 powered R8 is mild in comparison.... The Heffner kit produces added performance without sacrificing reliability and usability. THIS CAR IS IMPECCABLE - THE RIGHT ONE!!!! Clean Carfax and Autocheck History - NO Accidents or Paintwork - Over $40k spent in upgrades alone (invoices available)!!!! Audi, Jag, Kia and Tesla top Strategic Vision 2014 Total Quality Index
Sun, 06 Jul 2014A couple weeks ago, J.D. Power released its latest Initial Quality Study, which gave high marks to Porsche, Hyundai and General Motors, with the latter earning more individual IQS awards than any other manufacturer. Now, it's Strategic Vision's turn, and it's doling out its praise not to Porsche, but to Tesla, which wasn't even included in the JD Power IQS.
The Model S was named the best vehicle overall in total quality, while Porsche's corporate brother and endurance-racing rival, Audi, was named the best premium brand, alongside Jaguar. Strategic Vision cited the Q5 and the ancient Q7 for individual segment awards, as well as the A5, which was a mere point off the top of its segment. SV also handed out compliments for the Audi's interior work. The win for the German brand is a nice improvement over its IQS score, with which it landed above the industry average, but solidly mid-pack.
Jaguar was without a segment winner, although SV did say that the Indian-owned English brand had a number of vehicles very near the top of their segments. This is the second significant win for Jag in two weeks, after it finished second overall on the JD Power IQS a few weeks ago.

While you might expect the 162-horsepower Ducati weighing just 515 pounds to blow away the 542-horse, 3,500-pound Audi, this particular test measures the acceleration and braking of both high-performance machines.
Drag racing an Audi R8 against a Ducati on a long, flat stretch of concrete sounds fun to us, and Autocar documented the whole test for our viewing pleasure. We don't want to spoil the fun for you, so let's just say that a Volkswagen-owned brand wins. Scroll down to watch the video for yourself.
Audi working on new Quattro-centric horizontal design language
Wed, 22 Jan 2014If we were to opine that Audi needed a new design language, we certainly wouldn't be the first. Because while most of the vehicles wearing the Four Rings these days look slick enough, they all tend to look rather similar, and perhaps lack a certain amount of character. If the latest rumors are to be believed, Audi is working on just such a design overhaul.
The new design language being developed in the studios at Ingolstadt is said to differ from the current theme in two ways. For one, it's set to be dominated by a more horizontal approach, eschewing the tall vertical grille that dominates the noses of many of Audi's current models in favor of one that stretches more widely across the fascia.
For another, Edmunds projects that the new design language will emphasize the four-wheel-drive setup that has become Audi's hallmark. We understand that to mean more muscular wheel arches, with the rest of the design revolving around that element for an overall look that's more visually planted on the road. We'll have to wait to see how this theme develops, but the rumors at least indicate that Audi is aware of its design issues and is working to address it.
