For sale by meticulous owner. This Q7 is impossible to appreciate in these pictures. Loaded with nearly all of the factory options. Original MSRP = $69,475Nearly flawless exterior and interior...no dings and a few very minor blemishes that would only be noticeable upon detailed examination by a very critical eye. All 4 Michelin Latitude Sport tires have 5,000 miles on them.2 curbside wheels just refinished at Audi dealership on Friday (10/14) to bring them to as new condition. The other two wheels are in great shape and I would rate a 9 out of 10 or better. Extremely well cared for and appreciated vehicle- I love to wash and wax it regularly myself and has been garage kept most of the time. This Q7 has spent its entire life in Los Angeles- has never seen snow and has hardly been exposed to rain. Religious maintenance performed on an accelerated schedule at Audi Dealer. 2010-2015 models are almost indistinguishable from each other. No issues. Needs nothing. I am happy to send any additional pictures or videos upon request or answer any questions over the phone. I have bought or sold a 4 different vehicles on eBay over the last 13 years and enjoy the process of selling private-party much more than trading-in to the dealer. I am selling it with no reserve because I am confident the market will bear an appropriate price for this outstanding vehicle. Purchased as the second owner 7/13 as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from the Audi dealership. Low mileage per year vehicle- had 23.9K miles when I purchased it and now has 55.6K miles. Original owner purchased the pre-paid maintenance plan up to 50K miles (transferrable to me) and being under extended certified pre-owned warranty from Audi, there has never been any hesitation to have any scheduled or unscheduled maintenance and repairs performed. Orca Black Metallic Exterior (looks amazing in the sun) Black interior (Luxury Package upgrade includes Cricket leather seats and Alcantara headliner) 6-speed auto tiptronic transmission (with paddle shifters) 3.0 liter V6 Turbo Diesel engine - 225 HP and 406 ft. lbs. of torque. Super fun to drive with a massive amount of torque yet easily achieves MPGs in the mid to high 20s on highway drives. The drivetrain is smooth as can be and feels bulletproof as if it will run for many more miles than it currently has. Im sure most everyone has heard about the diesel scandal that Volkswagen is facing, but the 3.0L vehicles such as this have a completely different system for emissions reduction (urea) than the 2.0L vehicles and doubt still remains whether there is really an issue with the 3.0L vehicles. Nonetheless, from what I have read, Volkswagen has submitted their proposed resolution for the 3.0 liters to the EPA for approval which is a software update and is a completely different situation than the more complex hardware fixes that will most likely be required for the 2.0L cars. My personal experience thus far leads me to believe that Audi will continue to take extraordinary measures to create goodwill with owners as this carries out because the future of its brand is at stake with how they navigate this. Prestige model- Audi mmi navigation plus Audi Xenon plus LED drl and turn lightsAuto-dimming and power fold mirrorsBOSE surround soundAudi parking system with advanced rearview camera (includes front and rear parking sensors) Memory function for driverPanorama sunroofAudi advanced key (Smart key, push button start)Audi side assist (blind spot monitoring) Luxury package-Premium cricket leather (much higher quality than standard and minimal wear)Alcantara headliner (awesome look and feel!!)Ventilated front seats (also heated) S line package-S line wheels (additional upgrade from 20 to 21)Brushed aluminum decorative inlaysS line multifunction steering wheel w/ shift paddlesS line front and rear bumpers and side valances S line fender badges and door sills Headlight washers Warm weather package-4 zone climate control (front and rear passengers can control their own zone)manual window shades for rear doors and tailgate

Trump reportedly says he wants to wipe German cars off the U.S. map

Thu, May 31 2018

BERLIN/FRANKFURT — A report that U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to pursue German carmakers until there are no Mercedes-Benz rolling down New York's Fifth Avenue dented shares in the luxury car manufacturers on Thursday. An excerpt from German magazine Wirtschaftswoche's article, which cited several unnamed European and U.S. diplomats but did not include any direct quotes, could not be independently verified, while a U.S. Embassy spokesman in Berlin referred questions to Washington. The news and current affairs magazine said Trump had told French President Emmanuel Macron in April that he aimed to push German carmakers out of the United States altogether. Macron's administration in Paris declined to comment on the report. The Trump administration last week opened a so-called Section 232 trade investigation into vehicle imports, which could result in a 25 percent tariff on cars on the same "national security" grounds Washington used to impose metals duties in March. This could destroy exports by German carmakers, which control 90 percent of the U.S. premium market and are the biggest European Union exporters of cars to the United States. BMW owns Rolls-Royce, while Daimler has Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen controls Bentley, Bugatti, Porsche and Audi. Daimler, BMW and Audi declined comment. Porsche was not immediately available for comment. BMW shares were trading 0.5 percent lower at 0939 GMT, while Daimler and VW's shares were down 1 percent and 1.6 percent respectively, underperforming Germany's blue-chip DAX. Trump has railed against German carmakers before. And in early 2017, in an interview with German newspaper Bild, he said he would impose 35 percent tariffs on imported cars. At the time, the president called Germany a great car producer but said that the business relationship with the United States was an unfair one-way street. Germany's auto industry association VDA says its members exported 657,000 vehicles to North America last year, with total exports of vehicle components, cars, engines, as well as second-hand vehicles totaling 31.2 billion euros in 2016. Imports from the United States to Germany amounted to 7.4 billion euros, meaning a trade deficit of 23.8 billion euros the VDA's latest available figures show. However, German brands also have huge factories in the United States, where they built 804,000 cars last year, VDA said, providing jobs for U.S. workers. Berlin has reacted angrily to the U.S.

2017 Audi A4 Prestige is round 2 of our long-term test

Tue, May 23 2017

The first of our long-term Audi sampler platter, a Glacier White metallic 2017 A4 Premium Plus, has already departed from the fleet. Replacing that mid-grade model is a range-topping 2017 Audi A4 Prestige wrapped in a beautiful shade of Moonlight Blue metallic paint. At first glance, aside from the color, not much appears to be different between the two models. Here's what's changed. What we got The Prestige trim starts at $46,850 and sits atop the A4 range. The only way to go up is to step into the new S4, but that dish comes later. The A4 Prestige comes with all of the expected trimmings - a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four making 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and Quattro all-wheel drive - along with most of the features from the Premium Plus package such as LED headlights and a 3D Bang & Olufsen sound system. Prestige extras include parking sensors with a surround view camera, a full-color heads-up display, LED interior lighting, and bits from the technology package such as Audi virtual cockpit, MMI navigation, and extra parking sensors. The technology package was a $3,250 option on our first A4. The biggest difference between the two models is the availability of certain options. Only the Prestige can be equipped with the warm weather package, the adaptive dampening suspension, and the driver assistance package with adaptive cruise control and active lane assist. We passed on these in order to keep things similar to our long-term Jaguar XE. We added 19-inch wheels with 245/35ZR19 Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 summer tires because Michigan isn't cold and desolate all year round. That said, we did check the box for the cold weather package with heated seats at all four corners and a heated steering wheel. The final option was the sport package that adds a black headliner, sharper suspension, and four-way power lumbar support. All in, the new A4 rings up at $51,575, just less than $2,000 more than the $49,825 Premium Plus, as the latter was equipped with the now-unavailable $1,100 First Edition package. What we skipped We decided once again to skip the manual transmission. While it may inject a little more fun into an already enthusiastic car, few shoppers actually opt for a three-pedal setup. With that in mind, we chose the excellent seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, a no-cost option. We also decided to keep things simple and passed on the driver's assistance package.

Audi R8 V10 gets tuned up by ABT

Mon, 20 May 2013

Bavarian tuners ABT have done another job on the Audi R8 V10, pumping up the 5.2-liter FSI V10 from 525 horsepower to 600 hp, and torque from 391 pound-feet to 406 lb-ft. With 50 more horsepower than the R8 V10 Plus - but not the extreme weight-loss scheme - ABT claims a 0-62 mile per hour run of 3.5 seconds, the same as the R8 V10 Plus, and a top speed for the mid-engined coupe of 198 miles per hour "is no problem at all."
Managing all that speed are the aero tweaks provided by a comprehensive body kit including a rear wing, a lowered and beefed-up suspension, a stainless steel exhaust and 19-inch wheels in two different designs.
The press release below has a few more bits of info on the matter. And while ABT hasn't put a price on the Audi upgrades, but it's safe to say that nearly 200 mph in an R8 won't come cheap.
