For sale by meticulous owner. This Q7 is impossible to appreciate in these pictures. Loaded with nearly all of the factory options. Original MSRP = $69,475Nearly flawless exterior and interior...no dings and a few very minor blemishes that would only be noticeable upon detailed examination by a very critical eye. All 4 Michelin Latitude Sport tires have 5,000 miles on them.2 curbside wheels just refinished at Audi dealership on Friday (10/14) to bring them to as new condition. The other two wheels are in great shape and I would rate a 9 out of 10 or better. Extremely well cared for and appreciated vehicle- I love to wash and wax it regularly myself and has been garage kept most of the time. This Q7 has spent its entire life in Los Angeles- has never seen snow and has hardly been exposed to rain. Religious maintenance performed on an accelerated schedule at Audi Dealer. 2010-2015 models are almost indistinguishable from each other. No issues. Needs nothing. I am happy to send any additional pictures or videos upon request or answer any questions over the phone. I have bought or sold a 4 different vehicles on eBay over the last 13 years and enjoy the process of selling private-party much more than trading-in to the dealer. I am selling it with no reserve because I am confident the market will bear an appropriate price for this outstanding vehicle. Purchased as the second owner 7/13 as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from the Audi dealership. Low mileage per year vehicle- had 23.9K miles when I purchased it and now has 55.6K miles. Original owner purchased the pre-paid maintenance plan up to 50K miles (transferrable to me) and being under extended certified pre-owned warranty from Audi, there has never been any hesitation to have any scheduled or unscheduled maintenance and repairs performed. Orca Black Metallic Exterior (looks amazing in the sun) Black interior (Luxury Package upgrade includes Cricket leather seats and Alcantara headliner) 6-speed auto tiptronic transmission (with paddle shifters) 3.0 liter V6 Turbo Diesel engine - 225 HP and 406 ft. lbs. of torque. Super fun to drive with a massive amount of torque yet easily achieves MPGs in the mid to high 20s on highway drives. The drivetrain is smooth as can be and feels bulletproof as if it will run for many more miles than it currently has. Im sure most everyone has heard about the diesel scandal that Volkswagen is facing, but the 3.0L vehicles such as this have a completely different system for emissions reduction (urea) than the 2.0L vehicles and doubt still remains whether there is really an issue with the 3.0L vehicles. Nonetheless, from what I have read, Volkswagen has submitted their proposed resolution for the 3.0 liters to the EPA for approval which is a software update and is a completely different situation than the more complex hardware fixes that will most likely be required for the 2.0L cars. My personal experience thus far leads me to believe that Audi will continue to take extraordinary measures to create goodwill with owners as this carries out because the future of its brand is at stake with how they navigate this. Horn, Hackenburg, Hatz to be fired as VW diesel scandal deepens

Thu, Sep 24 2015

Volkswagen will sack three more high ranking executives, including the head of its US division, as the company's diesel scandal deepens. Reuters reported Thursday morning that the executives are: Michael Horn, who has led VW's US operations since January 1, 2014; Ulrich Hackenberg, who oversaw Audi's research and development; and Wolfgang Hatz, who was in charge of R&D for Porsche. A VW spokesman wouldn't comment in response to an Autoblog email. The moves come in the wake of longtime VW chief executive Martin Winterkorn stepping down on Wednesday. Volkswagen's board said at the time that it expected more personnel changes to follow. Volkswagen's board is scheduled to meet Friday, and Porsche CEO Matthias Muller has reportedly been named as Winterkorn's successor. The German auto giant was plunged into crisis last Friday when the EPA charged that the company manipulated software in its diesel-powered cars to pass US emissions tests. About 482,000 vehicles in the US are affected, and VW estimates 11 million around the world could have the rigged software. The revelations have prompted outcry from governments and regulatory agencies, and in the US, Volkswagen could face a fine of up to $18 billion. The departure of Horn, Hackenberg, and Hatz is a stunning downfall for three of the company's top and most visible executives. Horn had led US operations for less than two years, taking over from Jonathan Browning, who was well-respected but failed to reach VW's ambitious sales targets. Before overseeing Audi R&D, Hackenberg was hailed as a visionary for work in developing VW's modular architectures, which allow the company to save time and money by building many vehicles off the same chassis. Hatz had led Porsche R&D since 2011 and also was in charge of engines and transmission development for all of Volkswagen. Audi CEO's Dieselgate arrest threatens fragile truce among VW stakeholders

Tue, Jun 19 2018

FRANKFURT — The arrest and detention of Audi's chief executive forces Volkswagen Group's competing stakeholders to renegotiate the delicate balance of power that has helped keep Audi CEO Rupert Stadler in office. Volkswagen's directors are discussing how to run Audi, its most profitable division, following the arrest of the brand's long-time boss on Monday as part of Germany's investigations into the carmaker's emissions cheating scandal. The supervisory board of Audi, meanwhile, has suspended Stadler and appointed Dutchman Bram Schot as an interim replacement, a source familiar with the matter said on Tuesday. Schot joined the Volkswagen Group in 2011 after having worked as president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Italia. He has been Audi's board member for sales and marketing since last September. The discussions risk reigniting tensions among VW's controlling Piech and Porsche families, its powerful labor representatives and its home region of Lower Saxony. VW has insisted the development of illegal software, also known as "defeat devices," installed in millions of cars was the work of low-level employees, and that no management board members were involved. U.S. prosecutors have challenged this by indicting VW's former chief executive Martin Winterkorn. Stadler's arrest raises further questions. Audi and VW said on Monday that Stadler was presumed innocent unless proved otherwise. Munich prosecutors detained Stadler to prevent him from obstructing a probe into Audi's emissions cheating, they said on Monday. Stadler is being investigated for suspected fraud and false advertising. Here are the main factors deciding the fate of Audi. Background: Audi's role in Dieselgate Volkswagen Group was plunged into crisis in 2015 after U.S. regulators found Europe's biggest carmaker had equipped cars with software to cheat emissions tests on diesel engines. The technique of using software to detect a pollution test procedure, and to increase the effectiveness of emissions filters to mask pollution levels only during tests, was first developed at Audi. "In designing the defeat device, VW engineers borrowed the original concept of the dual-mode, emissions cycle-beating software from Audi," VW said in its plea agreement with U.S. authorities in January 2017, in which the company agreed to pay a $4.3 billion fine to reach a settlement with U.S. regulators.

Winterkorn remains CEO of Volkswagen's majority shareholder

Sun, Oct 4 2015

Martin Winterkorn may have stepped down as the chief executive of Volkswagen in the wake of the diesel emissions scandal, but he's not out from under the company's large umbrella just yet. In fact, according to a report from Reuters, he still holds four top-level positions not only within the industrial giant's bureaucracy, but at the top of it. And one of those is as CEO of the company's largest shareholder. That holding company is Porsche SE, the investment arm of the Piech and Porsche families (Ferdinand Porsche's descendants) which holds over 50 percent of VW's shares. In 2008, Porsche SE acquired majority interest in the Volkswagen Group which in turn acquired Porsche the automaker – and placed VW's Winterkorn at the head of the executive board of the holding company. Though Winterkorn has resigned from his position as chairman of VW's management board, he has apparently yet to step down from running Porsche SE. That's not the only job that Winterkorn still retains in VW's senior management. He also continues to serve as chairman of Audi, as well as truck manufacturer Scania, and the new Truck & Bus GmbH into which Scania has been grouped together with Man. It remains unclear if or when Winterkorn might resign from those positions as well, or how his tenure in those posts might affect the company's effort to start over in the aftermath of the scandal in which it is currently embroiled. Also unclear, Reuters reports, is how much, exactly, Winterkorn will receive in compensation after having stepped down from his chair at the head of the VW executive board. His pension is reported at over $30 million, but he could be awarded a large severance package as well amounting to as much as two years' worth of his annual compensation, which amounted to around $18 million last year. Whether he receives the severance pay or not is expected to depend on whether his resignation is considered by the supervisory board to have been the result of his own missteps or independent of the situation that resulted in his resignation. One way or another, he's not likely to go poor anytime soon.
