2001 Audi Allroad Quattro Base Wagon 4-door 2.7l on 2040-cars
Lexington, Kentucky, United States
Nice Allroad with no accidents and very low miles that needs a little work to make perfect. I have had this vehicle for two years and it has been my daily driver. This car has the typical Allroad issues. The air suspension will only hold in position one. The aircompressor is fairly loud and I believe that to be the prime culprit although it could be a leaky airbag. The easiest fix is the Arnott coil spring conversion which runs about a $1100 bucks. There is a check engine light that has been on ever since I acquired the vehicle. The local Audi shop said the fault code is the catalytic converter and a EGT sensor. Either way the shop said it had no effect or harm of the vehicle and to just drive it. I replaced one of the CV joints ($150) but the other side is due to be replaced also. The car also leaks a small amount of oil around the valve cover gasket.
BUT this car has been a trouble free driver since day one and other than replacing the CV joint I have done nothing other than oil changes (full synthetic) . The exterior is in excellent shape with just one small rub spot on the left front bumper and some very minor scuffs typical of a 13 year old car. The car has been garage kept mostly and waxed regularly. It is a very sharp car and it gets lots of comments! The interior is also very clean with no cracking or tears in the leather. I have used leather conditioner regularly. Car has Bose audio which sounds amazing, sunroof, heated seats and an old style GPS navigation system. I had intended to turn this car into the ultimate road trip machine but my needs have changed so I have decided to let this car go. I am pricing the car low due to the issues that may need addressed. With a little work this could be one heck of a good car. Car is sold as-is. |

2013 Audi S8
Thu, 04 Apr 2013Italy To Monaco In Ingolstadt's Crushing Performance Saloon
I had an engagement a while back with the Audi RS5 Cabriolet in Monaco, and getting me from my lair in northern Italy by plane connection is an utter waste of time since the first flight is always to either Paris, Zurich, or Rome, three cities not at all on the way to Monaco. So I phoned Audi Italia about a quick loan of a car for the three-hour-ish drive to this event, and they were simpatici enough to propose that I keep whatever they gave me for two weeks. And what they gave me was a loaded Audi S8 with properly chosen 20-inch Dunlop SP Winter Sport treads attached.
This was about to be a much cooler two weeks than I had planned.
Editors' Picks September 2021 | Genesis GV70, Grand Cherokee L and more
Mon, Oct 11 2021This month of Editors' Picks saw us award the honor to a few top-notch crossovers and SUVs, plus one luxury sportback. Manufacturers keep rolling out excellent new crossovers, and the Genesis GV70 and Jeep Grand Cherokee L are great examples. Plus, living the good life with our long-term Hyundai Palisade has been evidence enough that it's worthy of an editors' pick. Read on below for the full breakdown and see what made the cut for September. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in August that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2022 Genesis GV70 2022 Genesis GV70 at Mt St Helens View 37 Photos Quick take: Genesis' first shot at a compact luxury crossover is a strong one that moves the segment forward and makes for an excellent alternative to one of the many other established options. Score: 8 What it competes with: BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, Audi Q5, Lexus NX, Acura RDX, Volvo XC60, Lincoln Corsair, Infiniti QX50, Porsche Macan Pros: Gorgeous looks inside and out, forward-looking tech, good ride and handling balance Cons: Nothing budget about it, no true performance option From the editors Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore — "Blending style and power, the GV70 shows Genesis is serious about delivering a strong execution in a critical segment. Props to Genesis for its risk-taking design, which has remade its lineup with confidence. The GV70 is just the latest in a series of wins for Genesis." It even keeps up the Jeep tradition of being great off-road while still carrying tons of passengers and gear.
Sunday Drive: Volvo hits a crossover home run, and people still love sports cars
Sun, Sep 24 2017Looking back at the week that just was clearly tells us at least three things. First, crossovers don't have to be boring. Second, people still love sports cars, from the attainable (Audi TT RS) to the fanciful (Mercedes-AMG GT C). And finally, the traditional German trio of premium luxury brands had better not rest on their laurels, because credible challengers are coming in from every direction. The biggest reveal of the week, at least judging by the interest of Autoblog readers, was the Volvo XC40. Not only is the little 'ute a looker, it introduces some innovative new buying/leasing schemes designed to appeal to an audience accustomed to trading in and trading up every couple of years. Think of Volvo's flat-fee lease as you would a smartphone contract, and you'll be on the right track. Genesis looks to have a hit on its hands in the form of the G70 sport sedan. We took a Korean-spec model for a spin and found a lot to like about the upstart contender. We can't wait to sample one here in the United States to see how it stacks up against the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. In other news, we're still really excited to see a production Ford Ranger Raptor. But if you just can't wait for the official reveal — it's OK, neither can we — take a look at the renderings in our post down below. As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry.
